Goals- I want to offer a true platform to build your MP characters however you want.
- The builder will eventually offer the same functionalities as the Kalence/SeasonedTurtle builder offered and then some.
- I plan to support the builder for at least 3 years, which means you'll get updates whenever there's new content and keep fixing bugs.
- The builder is optimized for 1920*1080 screens, but should look just fine from mobile to 4K.
- The builder is free to use, but some functionalities will require to become a member (register).
- Some extra functionalities will require unlocking (as "not free"). It's important to understand those functionalities are optional.
Current status of the projectDone- Login / Register
- The website is hosted on Amazon S3 which should give players a 24/7 access and minimal downtime
- Forget password procedure
- Character selection "screen"
- Section listing character stats
- Section with skill trees
- Section for Weapons and allow selecting weapons

I just realized I haven't posted any update in the last month... Well, I've been hard at work. The structure is complete for the character stats display and the character selection screens. I'm currently finishing up the display of the skills. Of course, right now it's not really "functional" since I don't have actual data. For that, I'm counting on leafspring with his Joint Multiplayer Database thread. For now, I'm mostly concentrating on making the structure behind work. You don't have to have the final data to display most of the things. When the games launches, the MEAMP Builder should offer the basics to display information. From there, it's only a waiting game for the data to come in from leafspring while I concentrate on building other features for the builder. I've been spending all my free time on this since January, a ton of hours since November, so I guess I deserve some fun time when the game officially launches. Don't expect any big update in the first week, but afterward I'll try to keep a good pace, something every 2 or 3 weeks. Phase II and III will be mixed a bit since the game will have already launched so I guess I'll have to decide what to prioritize.

I appreciate the time commitment this represents, OP. Pretty cool of you to undertake this. I am a big fan of the Kalence builder so if the UI operates similarly smoothly I'll be happy.
If you decide to go even deeper there was always one thing I wished I had in Kalence. A DPS value adjacent to the raw damage per bullet would be amazing. I did a lot of DPS maths back in the day. If not that then expanded weapon stats (namely ROF but also stability, accuracy, etc) so that I could perform the calculation quicker than flipping through multiple spreadsheets.
Irrespective of content, I will be pleased to have anything like your proposed builder in the early going.

You already have a good idea of how I structured the data in the builder, but I can refactor it without much trouble as long as I get simple tables without many cross-tables. You saw I included the foreign keys directly in tables instead of having a cross-table, if you can give me that it should be a breeze to integrate on my part. I got Origin Access and pre-ordered the game. this way I'll have 10 hours with the game to answer all the questions I still have about the data, the layout, etc. Did you do the same? If not, I'll try to post a video that would give you all the data you need to start filling the database. I'm off work from March 16th anyway, so the 10 hours will be used for fun then the rest of the time will be about polishing what I have for the builder. @ Everyone else As for the features the builder will offer, I already stated them in the "Goal" and "Current status" sections. If there's a stat for something, I'll try to display it somehow. Although, I need to design things in a certain way to include mobile, so some information might be layered. Don't worry about hearing "mobile", it simply means I design things "vertically" so I can arranges the pieces together no matter what the screen is. The builder is optimized for 1920x1080, but everything below or higher will have a good rendering too. Don't expect something that will be the exact copy of how it's done in-game. The game doesn't have such a broad diversity of devices and will probably hide a lot of data. By nature, the builder is a different beast, but I still lay things out in a similar structure. The goal is to offer something familiar but with all the functionalities the games isn't built for. For example, the game allows you to equip 2 guns. The builder Weapon section will allow you to select as many weapons as you want so you can compare them without having to switch them in and out. It will be a matter of selecting which 2 weapons are "equipped" instead of being limited to 2 slots. This allow you to makes builds for others to see while giving them alternatives for weapons. This is just a little sneak peak of the kind of fine tuning I'm gunning for...

As of now there aren't any cross tables in the database and I'll try to keep it that way. From what I can tell so far (not entirely done with the skill evolutions), the data should fit pretty nicely to what you need. I, too, have Origin Access and a pre-order, so I'll be spending the 10 hours next week collecting every bit of data that I can and adjust the database layout in case something ends up not fitting in properly. Once I'm reasonably sure that the layout is final, I'll send the export to you for feedback and we can work on fitting the two parts together.

Now that the game has been accessible for the early access, I need some images to fill in the blanks in the builder. I would be grateful if some of you could send me images of: (as opened in the store so I can see the rarity) - Character cards
- Weapon cards
- Weapon mods cards
- Consumable cards
- Equipment cards
- Skill evolutions (those selected so I can see how they look lighten up)
Basically, anything that comes out of the store. The only thing that doesn't come out of the store would be skill evolution nodes when they're selected. If I missed anything, don't hesitate to tell me. The project is well underway, I've got all weekend to tackle weapons and weapon selection. Once it's done, I'll concentrate on polishing what I have until now and release it as soon as possible. This will only be a display for now, but within 2 weeks you should start to be able to save the builds for yourselves. The data is also coming along quite well, leafspring and I are coordinating to make sure it integrates smoothly with the builder. Within the next month, we should have something that's already better than what we have in-game, accessible from mobile to 4K because we're not Bioware, we don't need an app for that! Thanks!

I've been checking the ApexHq app and all the images I'd need seem to be in there. Is there a way to copy those from my phone or can someone take upon himself/herself to be very generous? I know wavebend and Cyonan are usually great at this so consider this my humble request if possible, but anyone generous enough to fulfill my request would tremendously help me to speed up the builder.

Just updated the builder, it's now possible to share builds by URL copy/paste.
For now, it's just about the character and skills you choose, but weapons are on their way and more to come soon.
A lot of data is still missing, but the structure is there. There's no need to post builds with "take 4a, 5b, 6b" or whatever. You can use the builder and copy/paste the URL. That's it, that easy.

Until late last week, I could look at your alpha build just fine. Now on IE11, I can't. The headers show, but nothing else.
On FireFox, it still shows up normally. There was a Win10 update last week, perhaps that has made the page not display properly.
Not your job to solve MSFT issues, bringing this up, in case others have seen the problem or perhaps know of a setting that was reset, which will allow the page to display properly.

Is it supported on mobile?
If so, minor bug, the power name on the window beneath the power shows up in some case but stays grey with no text in others.
Just a heads up.
Feature Request:
If possible, it would be nice to be able to compare two characters completely modded with powers setup, boosters, weapons, mods, equipment, etc.
An example
Salarian Operator Human Soldier ----------------- ------------- List of powers w/Boosters List of powers w/Boosters - sublist damage of each power - sublist damage of each power - Health - Health - Armor - Armor - Shields - Shields
List of weapons w/Mods & Boosters List of weapons w/Mods&Boosters - sublist damage of each weapon - sublist damage of each weapon - Health - Health - Armor - Armor - Shields - Shields Or something along those lines.

IE11 has been fixed now. It was duplicate data, we're still integrating data and there are little errors here and there. Turns out IE11 is a bit more stingy about it than the other browsers...
