Is it supported on mobile? If so, minor bug, the power name on the window beneath the power shows up in some case but stays grey with no text in others. Just a heads up. Feature Request: If possible, it would be nice to be able to compare two characters completely modded with powers setup, boosters, weapons, mods, equipment, etc. An example Salarian Operator Human Soldier ----------------- ------------- List of powers w/Boosters List of powers w/Boosters - sublist damage of each power - sublist damage of each power - Health - Health - Armor - Armor - Shields - Shields List of weapons w/Mods & Boosters List of weapons w/Mods&Boosters - sublist damage of each weapon - sublist damage of each weapon - Health - Health - Armor - Armor - Shields - Shields Or something along those lines. Yes, it's supported on mobile. It's the sole purpose of why the layout is structured this way. I'm not sure I get what you mean for the minor bug. The "power name" is displayed at the top left of the skill tree. The bloc underneath the skill tree will contain the associated effects, but right now it's completely blank because it's still in Alpha (need the data). The same block underneath the skill tree also has an overlay which serves the purpose of displaying the evolution information. That gray layer contains the "evolution name" and when I'll have the complete data, it will also contain the descriptions associated. On desktop, whenever you put your mouse over an evolution icon, the gray overlay will display the information of that particular evolution. Clicking on the evolution will select it. Moving the mouse out of the evolution icon will hide the overlay. On mobile, there's no mouse. The first time you tap on an evolution, it displays the overlay. If you tap again, it will select the evolution. I don't use "double-tap" (double-click) per se, as long as you don't tap on another evolution, the second tap on an evolution will select it, giving you all the time you need to read the overlay data. The mobile side will require a bit of adjustments before it looks more natural to hide the overlay. For now, you need to manually hide the overlay by clicking on the "X". My guess is that the minor bug you report is outside the scope of what's working in the Alpha right now. The data isn't finished and it gives you a weird feeling about the overlay. I'm working on it. The only thing available right now is the possibility to share builds. The stats aren't all there, no calculations are made yet, the weapons are missing so are the equipment, the boosters and the weapon mods. The overlay isn't displaying proper information either, that's where I'm at. You can select a character, select your skills, but that's it. I really wanted to push the build sharing feature ASAP, because I was beginning to see builds in the forums and it was making me completely nuts to see "select 4a" or worst "select 42" (please kids, 4b, not 42...). It might not look like it, but building the site started in November, that's 5 months of work. The builder has taken over 200 hours already. I'm working as fast as I can, even took vacation off work to be able to deliver the basics and let's be honest, play a ton too. If this doesn't solve your issue for now, please send me a video or a screenshot so I can what the problem is. Thanks for the feedback.

Do I have to sign in to make the build? No Sign In required to use the builder. Just select your character, your skills and copy the browser URL. Sign In will be required to: - Remove some ads (if you have donated)
- Save your build in the database (optional)
- Access some features of the builder like the build map, the tips, the associated guide for a build, etc. None of those features are actually in the Alpha.
Right now, the only reason to sign-in is to donate so yo don't see non-affiliate ads. You can still donate without signing-in but the donation won't be associated to your user and you won't be able to benefit from that donation when some features will be added as temporary exclusives.

Until late last week, I could look at your alpha build just fine. Now on IE11, I can't. The headers show, but nothing else. On FireFox, it still shows up normally. There was a Win10 update last week, perhaps that has made the page not display properly. Not your job to solve MSFT issues, bringing this up, in case others have seen the problem or perhaps know of a setting that was reset, which will allow the page to display properly. IE11 has been fixed now. It was duplicate data, we're still integrating data and there are little errors here and there. Turns out IE11 is a bit more stingy about it than the other browsers... Ooh ... I helped ... didn't expect that ... thanks for looking into it. I assumed an IE update had changed settings and I could not see a likely candidate for causing problems.
OBTW, I think it has a clean, efficient look. Very nice. Can't wait to use it. Seasoned Turtle's version for ME3MP really helped me out.
I'm using all the human common characters at this point ... testing the various builds ... before I really get into the uncommon, rare and UR character builds ... make my early mistakes on characters that won't see much action later on. Really look forward to using it in those later, more important builds. Thanks.

That is weird then since I tried clicking on the icons to start the build, but nothing moved or worked.

Sorry forgot about the feature request... To compare 2 characters, you'll have to open 2 tabs, doesn't have to be 2 different browsers, just 2 different tabs. Put one on each screen or split screen and you're good to go. It's not ideal, but this is too much work to do as is. I would have needed to build according to this from the get go and it wouldn't be mobile friendly much. Although, I fully intend on displaying the Health/Armor/Shield for all damages, on weapons and skills. I try to put as much info as the design will fit, but I need to keep it in-line for the mobile side too (without sacrificing the desktop design).

Weapon section now has images and raw data.
Skills now have the tooltip displaying all the necessary info.
Next step would be to display the current values (with or without calculations) in the skill panel.

I somehow can't get copy-pasted URLs to work on Google Chrome. It always redirects me to the Standard Human Female Soldier page.

Something on your page is apparently getting blocked by ScriptSafe-Extension. If I disable it, it works. This is what ScriptSafe shows for the blocked elements:

The page functionalities don't depend on the ads being blocked or not. If Script-Safe is blocking the ad and at the same time blocks unrelated scripts from execution, I can't do anything about it. You'll have to report the bug to Script-Safe.

Just a quick update on the project: I've release what I consider a Beta version.
Most of the data displayed is now good. There are a couple weird things like the Aegis Health being "unknown", but this is gonna be sorted out in due time.
I'm missing the Salarian Architect, I was too busy with the evolutions so I didn't update it yet. I'll borrow Bioware's saying: Soontm
Once you select an evolution, you'll see the effects stats listed at the right.
I've also corrected a few bugs.
The project is taking a bit more time than anticipated, part of this is my own damn fault for playing MP too much, but then again this will serves the builder better since I'll know more what I'm talking about...

You may want to consider adding some text in the empty field next to the character selection button. While it's not difficult to figure out what it does, it's also not immediately obvious. Everything else looks good.

Everything else looks good. Would a tooltip be fine? I'd like to reserve this space for other things like the icon to save a build and the one for "tips" on the character. I was also thinking of bringing back the "click on character picture" to open the character selector. It would be an alternative, not replacing the switch icon. What do you think?

It would be great if you could include how your Passive and Fitness choices impact your powers. Partly because it would be really helpful. But mostly because I want to see some dude do in his spare time what AAA developer BioWare can't seem to manage with dozens of staff working full time.

But mostly because I want to see some dude do in his spare time what AAA developer BioWare can't seem to manage with dozens of staff working full time. It will eventually happen yes. I'm not sure if I'm gonna prioritize the "tips" feature first or go with the "calculations". From what I can see with the APEX HQ data dump, it's not as easy to calculate the things. The effect ids are all over the map, I'm not that surprised they haven't done it properly in-game seeing this. It's gonna be a PITA to do on my side... The other thing with calculations is this is gonna be long to do too. So if I prioritize this over other features, that push everything else back. The effects are already listed now, it's slightly worst than in-game, but I'll combine the effects that combine together (Max health evo 1 + max health evo 3 for example) soon to alleviate this. Once the combination is done, I'm on par with the game on that side, thus why I'm not sure I want to do the calculations right afterward.

One time I tried to use it I wasn't sure how many points were actually available to me; calculator only said "63 points available" or something like that. But, not sure how many points in a, say, level 17, rank 10 character (without going back in game & adding up). So something like letting you specify level and card rank would be helpful. Thanks for your work!
