TheThirdRace in case there's a bug somewhere in the builder, your 2 build suggestions for the Human Artificer come up as a 404 error. Everything else works great in this awesome tool, just wanted to point that out as I'm interested in your opinion on this particular character

Thanks Ronik82 , for pointing it out. It was a silly mistake, I used the local environment link (where I code) instead of the production one... I've updated the links now and it works. The first build is very unconventional, I play her as a weapon platform by taking advantage of Invasion's debuff, Elemental Tech and Shatter damage. The second build is more or less the same, but use the Remnant VI to draw some aggro from you and detonate Cryo combos.

hey just a heads up - malwarebytes blocks "suspicious ip's" constantly the instant I go to your site. Guessing you are using monero?

hey just a heads up - malwarebytes blocks "suspicious ip's" constantly the instant I go to your site. Guessing you are using monero? Yes, I am using Monero. I've been pretty open about it and the reasons why I had to. You can check this post for more details. I also talked about it at 2 occasions in the my site's News section. Finally, there's a permanent Contribute (free) link at the very top of my site that explains the amount of money it costs to keep the site up and the many ways people can contribute freely to keep the site afloat. Contrary to a lot of websites that went crazy with the Monero configurations, I've set it to a 3 to 5% CPU all tabs combined so there's no stacking, it's also disabled on phones. Plus, if you do block it, you only lose the stats calculations which is NOT an essential feature. I'm not and will not block people from using the MP Builder because they use an ad and/or a script blocker. Recently I removed the non-affiliate ads completely from the builder. They weren't giving much revenue and they caused real crashes for some people. So I removed them and the number of error reports fell by 95%!!! I do not hesitate to adjust things up if there's a problem. I also try to find the sweet spot between having a free builder and running the site with all the costs involved. Of course, I don't include the 1000+ hours of work I did, otherwise it would take a hundred years to get back even! Sadly, I can't do anything about the abuses made by other sites. But because of those abuse, a lot of ad blockers and other programs like Malwarebyte blocks the Monero mining now. It's part of the game, but like ads it's a necessary evil for a free internet. As I said, I adjust things according to the costs and try to find the sweet spot.

Yeah, too bad the game tanked so bad Although, I needed that time for the builder so I guess it helped the game tanked. Would have been nice to repeat the thousand hours of ME3 MP... Maybe on Anthem or next ME! Sure as hell gonna hit you up for a couple games there if you show up.

I'm just getting back into the game after a 1+ year hiatus, TheThirdRace, and I'm seeing that our game stat hackers have all gone dark? Is anyone still checking the weapon stats from the binaries, like helloisaac was doing, because EA was constantly lying (accidentally) about weapon stats in updates and last I checked the only reliable numbers for weapons damage were coming from the game files. Do you know of any resource for up-to-date game file data on weapon stats, that's relevant since the most recent balance changes?

I'm just getting back into the game after a 1+ year hiatus, TheThirdRace , and I'm seeing that our game stat hackers have all gone dark? Is anyone still checking the weapon stats from the binaries, like helloisaac was doing, because EA was constantly lying (accidentally) about weapon stats in updates and last I checked the only reliable numbers for weapons damage were coming from the game files. Do you know of any resource for up-to-date game file data on weapon stats, that's relevant since the most recent balance changes? Welcome back hanskey! Yeah, most people have gone dark by now. The game is much better than it was at launch, but Bioware cut the cord way too early to keep veterans interested... The short answer to your question is the best source you're gonna get is the MEA MP Builder. I'm pretty much the only one that kept up with the balance changes (or at least the ones Bioware said they were doing). The longer answer is we never had a perfect method from the start. Some people like helloisaac were mining the data files with the help of tools like Frosty. It gives a good idea of the values, but people forget that "balance changes" are pushed from the servers, they don't overwrite the files directly, they only do it in memory. Thus, while the data files are a good source, there are updates not taken into consideration. It wasn't so bad as long as Bioware integrated the new values into the data files when they made official patches, but it all came crashing down after patch 1.10. All the new balance changes are only server side and are pushed in memory while the game run, so any semblance of accuracy for data files went out the window at that point... Personally, I worked with another BSN user that was able to trick the Android app into giving up the data received by the Bioware/EA servers. Again, that isn't a perfect method either. The app was full of errors here and there, but Bioware pushed updates relatively fast for the app and most of the data was very reliable. Of course, they also stopped updating the app a while ago so I got into the same problems as the data files, I didn't have any info about updates... What I did, that others didn't, is to stick around and try the best I can to update the data according to the balance changes. Let's just say there's a lot of "calculated guesswork" since Bioware only gave ranks 1 and 10, nothing about 2 to 9... Most of the time, each weapon has an upgrade pattern with ranks. It's pretty easy to build on the pattern and update the different values manually. These updated values are fairly reliable, I'd say just as much as the mobile app was pretty reliable. Alas, some weapons saw a complete change of pattern and I did the best I could to give a "relatively good estimate" of the intermediary values (rank 2 - 9). I also integrated a lot of results from peddroelm (Numeric Data thread) into the builder. I've done my best to reproduce most of the bugs the game has so the builder represents what you can see in-game in reality, not just the values Bioware tells you... In any case, I do believe the builder has the most reliable data for the game. It's important to realize that the numbers are theoretical in many situations. In some cases, no human being can use the weapons to their full potential. In theory you could hit those numbers with perfect timing, but in-game there are multiple factors that can prevent you from hitting those. The builder use the same formula for all weapons so you can compare apples to apples. The best tip I can give for weapons is to check the sustained DPS first, then test in game the rhythm of the weapon. Sometimes, lower DPS weapons are beasts when you find the right rhythm and how to use them effectively. P.S. I've opened a channel with Anthem's team to see if we could work something out for an eventual builder for the game. They were opened to the idea of an API that would give anyone the values as soon as they're updated in game, but they haven't committed to it either. I'll have to check with them again if they're now open to begin some work on that or we'll have to rely on good old hard work to get those values on our side...

Thanks BRO!!
I just shit myself a little ... ah well, I had high hopes and that was my bad, #pleasebiowur. They could have just used linear interpolation instead of manually assigning values between Rank I and Rank X and then we wouldn't have to guess for the intermediate ranks, but a look-up table, presumably, is faster than calculating? Ah well, probably a very small error overall from that, so I'm probably getting hung up without much of a reason, but I'm suspicious because they never managed to send a single fully correct update out when I was paying attention and hid a bunch of changes at various times ...
I agree the game is fantastic, especially compared to early on and to the other current MP games I've watched my kid play: Destiny 2, Fortnite, Star Wars Battlefront II (which is complete garbage - do not buy. It's basically a 0 content game. You should know you have a problem when you can't keep a 9 and 11 year old Star Wars fans playing your Star Wars games. Micro-transactions only work when people are obsessed enough to buy your virtual garbage with real money).
It's really just too bad EA didn't get their shit together soon enough to keep their (paying) audience.
So APEX HQ IS permanently abandoned. Dang. Now I have to remember how to do things using the webpage, when I'm not at home.
At any rate, I'll be on at some point tonight, maybe we play?

You know, while technically the MEA MP Builder is a webpage, it's designed to work on mobiles too.
Beside the fact you have to either type in the address or bookmark it from your browser, the builder will resize itself to fit your screen. It's designed to work from 320px to 4K, you won't have to zoom in.
Most phones should be more than fine with the layout, only tablets might see something less appealing.

Non-sequitur & Zombie activity - As it turns out, I was an impatient fuck and the APEX HQ app does actually work, if you wait for several minutes for it to synch with your account data. I reinstalled it a few weeks ago when I restarted playing again. It just looks like it doesn't work, until suddenly all the shit populates. Works equally shitty on Android and iOS, but it does work.

Yeah, uh, I'm totally rambling on about what I was rambling on about a year ago and pointing out that I've discovered that I'm an idiot and the damn Apex HQ app, while frustratingly slow to the point where I assumed it was not working, does indeed work. I completely hijacked your thread again with nonsense.
