Whoo! The Iron Bull thread's up! I can't recall a romance where your PC can actually treat the relationship as seriously or as casually as they like. (Zevran I heard does take his relationship with the Warden seriously)
Bull is refreshing for a playthrough where you want to shake things up and have a PC who has a drastically different opinion about sex and love than a monogamous Inquisitor.
Loved how the Inquisitor can tease him about marriage in the main game and then reconsider it in Trespasser!

Bull is fun to listen to when he points out observations about people. I wish he'd do it more often, but he'd probably make everyone much more nervous hearing so many details about themselves they thought were hidden.

If you want to know how, click the spoiler.  Take him with you in the Hinterlands to go ride the horse races in the stables. After that, take him to fight a dragon. He should love your guts. |

Y'all don't like his romance? I HATE YOU ALL.  Okay, calm down dear....for me his romance is one of the most wonderful BioWare have ever made. It was with my first IQ, with my dwarf rogue. I thought it would all be snigger snigger ride the bull and it does start that way, but then it became much more profound. For the first time my protagonist was in a relationship with someone who didn't hero-worship her. Who didn't give a damn she was the Inquisitor and said specifically that with him, she was just herself. She didn't have to impress anyone or make big decisions, she could just be. I thought that was beautiful. As a reluctant Quizzy who felt overwhelmed a lot of the time, it fit her perfectly. And by the way, God bless Freddie Prinze JR. I finally got my James romance.  So, in conclusion, Bull's romance is amazing and you all suck.   |

Yup, one of my favourite romances in all DA, AND it features the bestestest hilarious scene ever I liked that it was starting out casual, but soon it was clear how much Bull cares and that it got way more serious at some point than expected. Good stuff. |
