Really, she was never nude or anything in GoT? And she was Anne Boleyn in the Tudors so she probably has something in there as well. But anyway, I wasn't being really serious with that part.  Actually, they have revealed all of the characters of the Tempest. There will be a total of ten characters aboard other than our character. There are the six squad mates Cora, Drack, Jaal, Liam, PeeBee, and Vetra, and then there are four permanent crew members Gil, Kallo, Lexi, and Suvi. She did have a nude scene but the man she was trying to seduce was looking to the other side of the road if you catch my drift. Then we had some super PG stuff with basically a teenager (hence why it was super PG) so yeah that never went anywhere. Who's Suvi? Actually, having checked her thread (such as it is), she might do the trick (or rather not), no? And have they confirmed there's no non-Tempest romances? Suvi is our scottish science officer. And I think they have said there will be romance options on the planets but we don't know to what extent. |

As @daveliam and Elsariel have said, Bioware has confirmed that there are romances outside of the Tempest. In fact Mac Walters said his personal favorite LI of the game is one of these characters. |

Well like I've said before. BioWare's strength is characters. Plot/lore/narrative: Why'd we go to Andromeda? -uhm, reasons! Exploration! *gestures with rock* Eh? Eh?? Why don't our vehicles have guns? -#wecomeinpeace  What's the story: various ME1 rehashes remixed (probably). Characters: -a science officer who attempts to reconcile science and faith -an AI that contemplates existence -an asari doctor advisor -overall more prominence and integration of crew members. The stacked side is clear. |

Yeah, we've had characters do this and still be LIs. I have to say there are quite a few parallels I'm seeing between this and the one between Josephine and Rainier. Lexi and Josie are both young women who are professional in their job but also very caring, while Drack and Rainier are both old grizzled mercenaries and criminals who are now fighting for something bigger than themselves. There are differences with both characters of course but I find it interesting. Hopefully the crush goes the way theirs did as well. I dunno, I kinda disagree. I'm kind of hoping that it does become more fruitful for Lexi and Drack, similar to Bull/Dorian. Maybe she can bring out Drack's softer side.  You know, while I would love to romance a character voiced by Nathalie Dorner, it would be interesting as well if they went the route of Dr Lexi not beign interested in the Ryder twins. Maybe she doesnt consider them her type. Too young perhaps! I could see that -- after all, her crush is, to adapt the popular vernacular, "old as quads." Actually, I'm not aware of any. GoT certainly doesn't, Elementary doesn't. She kissed Captain America once and was never seen again... And she is expanding as an actress- this is her first video game VO (well apart from GoT the game, which is kind of cheating, by her own admission). But yeah, this is probably the closest us mere mortals will get. Don't deny us this I'm surprised about her not being naked in GOT too -- I'm way behind on that show, admittedly, but I thought everyone (barring the kids and such) got naked on the show. Also, HOLY SHIT, I didn't realize she was in The First Avenger!  That's pretty cool. Also, heh, I just thought of something. It would be great if they brought in the smirk that Dormer's known to make in her live action roles, especially since Femshep does it a few times too, so it would be like a reference on top of a reference!

Now I might be wrong about this, but there aren't any other British-voiced Asari, are there? Or even British-voiced Aliens for that matter?
I can only recall a few Quarian Admirals who were voiced by British voice actors, but I haven't played the series in quite a few years.

Please GOD do not bring up that shadow baby when I literally just found out that my first romance will almost certainly be voiced by Gethin Anthony. That's just cruel! Keep that damned shadow baby far away from the engineering deck! Well, what are the odds he has a brother with the rightful claim to the title of Chief Engineer?  I figure the Natalie Dormer fans have plenty of those kinds of scenes to sate themselves with. As fans you should let her expand as an actress than be typecasted. It's not like it is even her body and face and you probably won't even hear the voice during the scene anyway. Thank you, though if you get your way that means I won't have a single character on the Tempest to have that kind of romance with, instead banished to minor romances. Actually, I'm not aware of any. GoT certainly doesn't, Elementary doesn't. She kissed Captain America once and was never seen again... Okay. I'm FINALLY getting around to watching the video interview and I just realize that it's being done by Simon from what culture? Good god, can I get THAT guy as an m/m option? His voice is liquid panty-dropper to me. I'm like a pig in shit right now. An amazing actress is voicing a character in Mass Effect and I get to oogle Simon for 15 minutes while I learn about her. I like our doctor! The voice actor is, of course, a wonderful selection. She was nothing short of fantastic in Game of Thrones.
I have this nagging in the back of my head to compare her to Chakwas on the Normandy though due to her role. I mustn't!! Chakwas was the mama on the Normandy and I will miss her so dearly. Thanks to that I can't help but want to see Lexi as having big shoes to fill despite the situation and circumstance being very different.

I find your lack of Dr. Lexi discussion disturbing... So, her name? Short for something? Her first name is much too human and doesn't follow the typical asari theme of classical/mythological sounding names. Given the emphasis on her advising us I also can't help but get an MGS vibe. I know we already have SAM in our heads but will she be another Voice with an Internet Connection? Can we call her to save our game? She'll be advising on medical, psychological and what other matters I wonder? |
