Hey everyone, So one thing I thought would be nice to talk about is everyone's plans for their own personal Ryder. There are Ryder threads for the individual Ryder twins, but I don't think there is one for both together. Or talking about what people necessarily plan to do with them. Particularly who or what you're using as a face model for your own personal Ryder. I thought I'd make this thread because I'm really curious to see everyone's ideas, possibly see some images, and maybe get some ideas for my own Ryder in the process. I've seen some people in other social media sites finding images they plan to use as their Ryder's face model and I'd love to see your ideas. I don't personally have one yet, as I mentioned, but I'll likely post one to this thread once I have one! Will also be fun once the game drops for people to post again with screenies of their finished Ryder!  |

First off, welcome to the new BSN Forum! I hope you enjoy it here. Secondly, awesome idea for a thread! *highfive* As for my Ryder, me thinks I am going to play as Scott. I don't usually base my characters off of anyone in particular- but maybe this time it might be kind of fun to give it a try. So I think I am going to try for Guy Pearce from Lockout. I think the sarcastic Scott might fit good with this look.  |

When I customize a character, I rarely base it on a face model. I do it by hand and just select what I think looks best as I go. I usually start with something vague (I want him to be a blond white guy or I want her to be a short haired black woman) and then just tweak as I go. It does limit me a little bit because I tend to favor similar traits over and over again (all of my guys have thick necks and small, light eyes), but I usually can make them different enough so that it excites me to play them.

Natalie Dormer was one of my inquisitors', I sat there for hours crafting the face, then when I was looking for ideas on YouTube seeing what others had done, I found a tutorial for her  Was so annoyed, but I might try make her again in ME:A! I always have a previous idea of how to customize my characters. I usually choose some actors and actress to be the face models of some other characters I create in my stories. This time I drew what I want my Ryder to look like:  Of course it's going to depend on how many options BioWare is going to give us, principally about hairs. But that's her, everyone  |

I'm really loving some of these! I haven't come up with one for mine yet, but I'm working on it.
I really envy people who say they're gonna make their own on the fly. I tend to do that too, but I've come to find that in every game with a detailed character creator, I'll like how the character looks at first in the creation screen.... and then my creation will go out in the world, and I'll wanna kill it with fire and start over again. Because the hair looks funny, or the cheek bones are poking out too much. I just know that would be my issue in this game, too, if they intend to go the detailed CC route.

I always just try to make a nice looking random character. Play through after my first, I search other people's good looking characters and use theirs. People posting their slider or face codes. I'm not very creative or good with the CC.

An hour of fails and brutal death later.... I defeated the Darkspawn! Took me long enough. 
A quick video showing her talking a little, I'm in the Deep Roads, so spoilers for The Decent DLC. Only minor inof about one of the people encountered. Its not the best footage, but all I can manage at the time as no-one wants to talk to me in Skyhold! Edit*: Forgot to add, this is a different save where I removed her Vallaslin, for those who didnt know it can be done on console by changing the tattoo color to a peachy or brown color using the color wheel depending on skin tone Also a custom Lavellan, I made, Spoilers for meeting the Elder One:

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!! It only took me a week of digging to figure out who I was gonna use as a face model for my Ryder. Still haven't decided on a name, but hey at least the hard part is down. So this is gonna be my Sara Ryder, whose first name is still pending so for now I'll just refer to her as the default name. Vanessa Cruz is this lovely lady I'll be using  And this guy, some of you may recognize, is going to be my Scott Ryder. I've always thought Ian Somerhalder was attractive, and honestly I can't not have him be my bro...  With these two as my Ryder twins, dad Ryder is gonna be a hot grandpa. XD |

My twins will be based off of Zoë Alleyne Washburne and Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds from the sci-fi show Firefly.
Although I was also thinking Nilin Cartier-Wells from the game Remember Me as Sarah and a younger Adam Jensen (no beard) from Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided as Scott.
