Neither iPad app exists any longer. I may look for a mod to raise my readiness percent then, if one even exists. I really don't want to cling to a guide this entire playthrough just to keep Shepard alive at the end. --------- These creepsters at the tungsten mine are making me laugh, and I don't think that's the intent
You can go to N7 HQ and play the Galaxy At War game that used to be an app but is now on the web site. You will have to log-in/set up an account to access it. Your Origin log-in should work. It's kind of like the DAI war table: you can deploy up to 5 missions at a time and they have varying lengths of time before they complete.
n7hq.masseffect.com/galaxy_at_war/
The thing about readiness is, while it will never drop below 50%, even if you raise it, every time you log in it will drop a few % points per day. So, if you want to make sure you have a good readiness rating for the end game sequence once you get it up high enough, change to playing offline and it will stay where it's at. Only by connecting to the servers will it decrease once it's above 50%.

With what you did in ME2 and what you will be able to do in ME3, I'm sure you will have more than enough to get that ending. Not sure what point in the game you're currently at, but I'm sure you still have a lot left to complete? Oh yeah, tons left. I've only done the first 4 priority missions. Since then, I've been doing some side quests and parts of Leviathan. (Going after the daughter next.) It doesn't really matter when I finish Leviathan, does it? Or is it worth saving some parts for later?

After rescuing the daughter, I would save the last part for after completing Thessia, which is late in the game. If you don't feel like waiting, it won't hurt if you complete it right away. It will have no effect on war assets. As I said in a previous post, I would suggest completing everything that you can, with the exception of the last part of Leviathan, if you wish, before starting the sabotage/curing the genophage mission. If you have Omega dlc, you can complete that later in the game if you wish.

Or is it worth saving some parts for later? With the EC in place, you only need 3100 EMS to get the breath ending. That is easily attainable at 50% with an ME2 import, particularly if you do all the planet scanning. Check your War Terminal after doing the Priority: Horizon mission and you'll probably find yourself comfortably over that amount at 50% GR. If not, then you can get the app and work on getting your Galactic Readiness up higher. It's still very much attainable even without the ME2 import. I just finished a non-import ME3 game with the 3 main DLC (Omega, Leviathan, and Citadel) and wound up with 3558 EMS just before triggering the final mission. In my case, I wasn't playing with the EC, so I didn't get the breath, but I certainly would have if I had the EC installed.

I always get that breath scene. However, if you do want to do it, there's a kind of tedious way that exists. Go to N7HQ, log in with the profile you connect to ME3 with and select "Galaxy at War" tab. You send people on "missions" (you don't do anything) that can be one, three or five hours in length. Then you get a certain percentage bump, 2.8%, 2.98% or 3.17% depending on length of mission. After the appropriate time passes you have to go back to the site and end each mission and then do it all over again. You have 5 sectors with 3 possible missions in each. It looks just like the galaxy at war in the game when you check the war assets. Over time, you can raise your galactic readiness to 99%. And, yes, those creepy guys are kind of funny. However, I imagine if I were there how I'd perceive them. I'd have to be waiting for the guy with the axe to pop out at any minute.

Thanks all I will check out that website if I end up needing higher galactic readiness due to poor choices. I want to say up front that I do NOT want any spoilers for the "breath scene" granted by extended cut. But I know it can be amusing to read what newbies are thinking when you already know the ending, so here are some recent musings: I've been thinking on how depressing it will be if Shepard's breath is taken with her body lying forgotten and left for dead on some battlefield, where no one --or at least, no one with good intentions-- will ever find her. I really want the ending to be more hopeful than that. Alliance forces are nearby checking for survivors, or even she wakes up in a morgue, where someone will be by soon-ish to check on things. But I have a feeling it won't be any of that. I have a feeling she will have been left on an abandoned reaper ship that has been evacuated already by allied forces --maybe even scheduled for destruction-- and while her certain death won't happen on camera, it is going to be grim, just the slimmest chance that she could, if she got really lucky, free herself and reach safety again. But it would take suspension of disbelief the likes of which I do not have in order to imagine that happy ending. So...again, no spoilers for me PLEASE, but feel free to amuse yourselves with cryptic comments, jokes and memes at my expense, maybe even some spoiler tags that I won't be able to open until I've finished the game. GO WILD.

dragontartare How far along are you now? Did you do From Ashes yet? Not yet. I've only got Garrus, EDI, Liara, and James. My next priority mission is Sur'Kesh. A little while back, someone had recommended doing all side quests that pop up in my journal before doing the next priority mission, so I'm trying to do that. At the moment I'm doing Leviathan, though. I know it was recommended to wait to do the last part of it until later, but I'm too curious to find out what happens and what this thing is.

Some "apex race," refusing to clean up after themselves! You created this mess, YOU better help fix it, you overgrown water roaches! What they finally decided to provide does seem potentially quite useful, though I guess the numbers on the war asset list aren't that impressive.
Or are they, comparatively?
I didn't push Dr. Bryson too far, so I got a bit of a boost from her as well.
Garrus has become quite opinionated after each mission. I'm glad it was recommended that I check in with him. Does he always make comments to every Shepard, or is that something the LI does, no matter who it is?

Generally everyone will have something to say after a mission, either about the mission or by having a conversation with someone else. About the only thing nobody comments on is Omega DLC.

Naturally, since no one else was there. I still find it amusing that your LI will be unhappy you went below the waves without him or her but doesn't comment that you go to Omega solo. Missed opportunity, BioWare! In my RP posts, I even mention how I'm surprised Kaidan said nothing after he'd previously complained about me going to the bottom of the ocean alone. I think the line was something like "Never do that again." I interpreted that to mean "never go where I can't follow".

I think I could warm up to Javik. I loved his comment about the Salarians. Javik: The lizard people evolved? Liara: I believe they're amphibian. Javik: ...They used to eat flies. Hang on now...I don't think Garrus said anything romantic after Shepard got back from diving solo. He had plenty to say about the Leviathans, but nothing personal. I feel cheated.

If Garrus wasn't present you might have missed out. As an FYI, bring Garrus with you to Earth, particularly for the second mission.

I think I could warm up to Javik (1). I loved his comment about the Salarians. Javik: The lizard people evolved? Liara: I believe they're amphibian. Javik: ...They used to eat flies. Hang on now... (2) I don't think Garrus said anything romantic after Shepard got back from diving solo. He had plenty to say about the Leviathans, but nothing personal. I feel cheated. (1) is the reason why people say to do "From Ashes" early; and (2) is the reason why people say to do the Leviathan DLC later in the game (after whatever romance you're doing has developed a little farther along).

The romance might need to be locked in before those lines fire, and she's not there yet.
Javik is priceless. He always has something to say about everything too, and it's usually trolling someone (or multiple someones).

Yeah, I went and watched Leviathan with an active Garrus romance on YouTube and it was so sweet As I was watching, it occurred to me that those lines probably require a "confirmed" romance, which I don't have yet, as several of you say. As a general rule, I take the LI along whenever possible (in Dragon Age, too). I just finished rescuing Eve from Sur'Kesh, and I'm about to go check in with everyone. Hopefully it will yield something good.

Ooh, thanks for the answer. I don't have "From Ashes," but since this is at least the second or third recommendation for it, I will probably get it. Can I play it at any time during the game? I think "From Ashes" was a day one DLC, meaning it was released on the same day as the game. People have concluded (or maybe it's confirmed) that it was originally part of the game and was removed in order to make it DLC. I find it essential for the overall storyline. Same with "Leviathan". So much more is revealed to us. "Citadel" is also great, though not storyline essential. It's a lot of fun. I just got ME 3 & From Ashes DLC is included in the Origin download. There are 3 other DLCs...Leviathan, Omega & Citadel. Which DLC is the best?

It would be a perfect opportunity to invite Sam up to the cabin to play chess with the new chessboard sent to Shepard.

Leviathan does add 6 missions (3 that involve combat), the highest number of War Assets, and some ancient backstory. Citadel DLC adds 1 mission, a casino, arcade, and combat sim and some corny levity via meetups and a party with your squad. It can also offer an additional mini-romance option for FemShep (if she's not involved with anyone else). Omega adds 1 longish mission and fleshes out both the Omega setting and Aria's character a bit. I suspect the Extended Cut is also included in the Origins download? If not, you'll probably want that one as a priority. It should be free though.

Leviathan is most central to the plot. Citadel is a feel good DLC. Omega is good for extra war assets - a lot of them. However, it's my least favorite. It's Shepard plus Aria and sometimes a turian female. They are only available to you on Omega.

In regards to Omega. It would be a perfect opportunity to invite Sam up to the cabin to play chess with the new chessboard sent to Shepard. Agreed. I remember the first time I tried to make sure I completed Omega before inviting Sam up. I figured we would get to use Petrovsky's chessboard instead of the one Sam hates so much. It didn't happen. Missed opportunity. Strange, too, because the game goes out of its way to point out that Sam doesn't like the GUI interface yet denies us the chance to use a real board.
