I just got ME 3 & From Ashes DLC is included in the Origin download. There are 3 other DLCs...Leviathan, Omega & Citadel. Which DLC is the best? Leviathan is most central to the plot. Citadel is a feel good DLC. Omega is good for extra war assets - a lot of them. However, it's my least favorite. It's Shepard plus Aria and sometimes a turian female. They are only available to you on Omega. Yes, Omega adds a lot of War Assets, but I believe Leviathan actually adds a few more than Omega. The Citadel DLC doesn't add much in the way of war assets, but can give the player the means to earn a lot of credits (by gambling or by milking the combat sim), enabling them to buy a lot of upgraded weapons if they want. It's also more fun to test out those different weapons in the combat sim than in the firing range on the Citadel. I personally recommend getting all of them... but if you're limited to just one, I hesitate to make a recommendation between Leviathan and Citadel... because it really does depend on what you're looking for. The revelation in Leviathan is interesting, but I don't consider it crucial to the plot (unless Bioware does something more with it in ME:A). Certainly, nothing in Citadel is crucial to the main reaper plot, but I thought that some of the galactic history presented in the archives was rather interesting.

There are a lot of varying opinions about that... depends on what you're looking for. Leviathan does add 6 missions (3 that involve combat), the highest number of War Assets, and some ancient backstory. Citadel DLC adds 1 mission, a casino, arcade, and combat sim and some corny levity via meetups and a party with your squad. It can also offer an additional mini-romance option for FemShep (if she's not involved with anyone else). Omega adds 1 longish mission and fleshes out both the Omega setting and Aria's character a bit. I suspect the Extended Cut is also included in the Origins download? If not, you'll probably want that one as a priority. It should be free though. thanks for clearing that up yup extended cut is free

Why do people say Shepard is an idiot? She hasn't seemed especially stupid so far. What am missing?

Why do people say Shepard is an idiot? She hasn't seemed especially stupid so far. What am missing? I honestly don't know. He/she doesn't appear especially stupid to me either. I know I call him/her an idiot from time to time, but that's usually because I'm screwing up in combat at that particular moment... and he/she doesn't know it yet, but he/she is about to die for no good reason.

Lol! I do the same, usually when I'm having trouble moving in and out of cover. I don't know why I have difficulty with that in this game, but I saw a mod for it, so I guess I'm not the only one.

Shepard does ask about the crucible. So why not ask about the catalyst? There are a few lines of dialogue and actions Shepard has in the game that does make you scratch you head I barely know what catalyst you're even talking about, so I'm easily as stupid as Shepard if that's your whole reason. It wouldn't have occurred to me to ask about that when they already had little to say about crucible, and when they were talking about not only ignoring the reapers but keeping me as their slave (and leaving my squad on the surface to die). That said, at the time, Shepard is deep underwater in an alien ocean with only a briefly-tested mech separating her from a quick but probably very painful death. I don't think that forgetting a question that isn't the main objective in such a circumstance qualifies a person as "stupid." She managed to secure their help, which was her entire purpose for going. Additionally, while walking along the ocean floor earlier, Shepard says something about conserving life support in the mech, implying that time is limited, so it could be that Shepard realized she needed to get to the point. Thanks for answering, but I'm not seeing "idiot" here anywhere. I'm just going to keep enjoying this protagonist and not worry about it.

The player learns about the catalyst when talking with the council. Liara mentions it. Its a missing piece to complete the device/crucible. When Leviathan say's it doesn't know what the outcome of the crucible will be, its a good chance it might know what the catalyst might be. It would make sense for Shepard to ask. I never said Shepard was an idiot/stupid. I was just asking what explanation would you give for him/her not asking about something that is important when talking with Leviathan.

I never said Shepard was an idiot/stupid. I was just asking what explanation would you give for him/her not asking about something that is important when talking with Leviathan. I knew the catalyst was the missing piece to the mystery weapon (I think Shepard mentions it to Javik as well?) but to me, it doesn't make much sense to ask about it if the Leviathans said they'd never even seen crucible completed. I mean, if Shepard had plenty of time, then sure. But given the circumstances, I think it was reasonable to skip that line of questioning and just get on with trying to secure their help. So, I suppose that's my explanation.

Is there anything special about the spectre shooting range other than just being a shooting range? Nope. It's just a good place to try out weapons you aren't familiar with to see how they work or if you like them. Say you spend a fortune buying one of the Spectre guns - if you quicksave before buying, you can try it out right away and if you hate it, reload to get your money back without having to redo any missions. (The sniper rifle and shotgun are worth it though. I don't normally shotgun but I make an exception for the Wraith. )

(The sniper rifle and shotgun are worth it though. I don't normally shotgun but I make an exception for the Wraith. ) That's a good point. I've taken the tactic of carrying just a few light weapons around so my powers recharge quickly, but I suppose that may not always work. -------- Next question! Are there any squad mate missions in this game? For example, Garrus mentioned his father and sister, and it seems like running off to save them would be the perfect "loyalty" mission, so I'm curious to know whether this type of mission just in general exists in the game. I'm also wondering whether I'll see Miranda again. It seems odd that she would pop up just to tell me about her sister, only to never see her again. I'm pleased to see that she has (supposedly) abandoned Cerberus. I'm about to go help some krogans in the Attican Traverse, then will do Priority: Tuchanka unless another side quest pops up. I already helped the turians. Edit: YAAAAAY IT'S GRUNT I wanna pinch his cheeks. He'd take my hands off though, right?

In case you didn't If you decide not to cure the genophage, you would need to choose the bottom right dialogue each time eve asked what is wrong in the truck. Then when facing Mordin, choose to delay him. Since you kept Maelon's data, Mordin will not back down. Shepard shoots him. Doing this will give you more assets than curing it since the salarians will offer their support.
If you're wondering, Mordin can survive if sabotaging the genophage. Just have Wreav in charge, Maelon's data deleted and your reputation high enough. He will become a war asset by helping with the crucible project
What is your ems and reputation? Just curious.

You will get an email later in the game from her. I have a persistent bug in my game where I don't get that email. the second one, to meet her in the apts If that happens, you will find her on the Citadel (different location than the first meeting). I think there's a marker for her but I don't remember.

Have you been to the Citadel yet to meet the Salarian councilor? Miranda's second email should come after you've done one mission (or two missions max) after going to the Citadel for this meeting. Before this meeting with her, it's also important that you've received and read a message from Admiral Anderson. (I don't know when this meetup expires, since I tend to make sure to do it the moment I get both emails.) You can also "stumble" into it before reading the emails... if a red "click" circle appears on the left-hand terminal in the Spectre Requisitions office, clicking on it will activate this second meeting... However, that is NOT a good idea. Make sure you've read both emails before activating this meeting. Miranda's third email (to meet her at the Citadel apartments) is the one that melbella noted that she's not receiving. As best I can tell, this is because the apartment on the Citadel where she meets you opens up long before her email comes. Once that apartment unlocks, you can just drop in and meet her there without having actually received the email yet. This third meeting stays available for a long time and only expires if you haven't done it before settings off to do a mission called Priority: Horizon. To help you determine what emails you've received, I've listed the subject lines for all three in the spoiler below (not that there's anything in the subject lines that's really a spoiler). Miranda's first email subject line is "Meet me on the Citadel." Her second email subject line is "Found something." Her third emails subject line is "Important"

EMS is 1543, and reputation is this: excellent. You won't have any problem getting the ending you want. Reputation looks good. Just keep doing missions and talking to everyone on the ship and Citadel. It will play a big role for an upcoming mission Another suggestion. During the Citadel coup, you will be fighting an atlas and a couple Cerberus guys. Once defeated and before going up the elevator, I would make a save. It's just in case something doesn't work in your favor you would only go back a couple of minutes to redo if you have to I have a persistent bug in my game where I don't get that email. the second one, to meet her in the apts If that happens, you will find her on the Citadel (different location than the first meeting). I think there's a marker for her but I don't remember. Shepard recieves an email from her after completing the dreadnought mission. That's where you talk with her by the spectre terminal The next email is to meet her at the apartment. If you didn't get an email, keep checking the apartment. It happened to me once. She will be in the apartment before the Thessia mission.

The email message to meet her at the Spectre Terminal comes long before doing the dreadnought mission. Just after the Citadel Coup, you talk with Anderson and Anderson sends you an email. Miranda's email comes in shortly after. On one of my recent Shepards, I have done the Citadel Coup and only Eden Prime and N7 Cerberus Fighter Base afterward... and I have that second email in my terminal. I have just gone back to the Citadel for the first time since the coup... and that terminal is active. (ETA: I just loaded an old save from my non-import Xbox One Shepard. At the point I saved, he had clearly only done N7 Cerberus Fighter Base after the Citadel Coup... and that email from Miranda is in his inbox.) The email to meet up with Miranda and the apartments is the one, I think, that comes in after doing the geth dreadnought, but she can be in the apartment long before that.

Its always been after the dreadnought mission for me Is that perhaps because you tend to save the N7 ones until after everything?... i.e. that you do the Coup and then go immediately to do the dreadnought?

Is that perhaps because you tend to save the N7 ones until after everything?... i.e. that you do the Coup and then go immediately to do the dreadnought? A lot of times I do head for the dreadnought. I'm pretty sure the trigger for the second email is Citadel II + 1 mission I've been trying to call up other saves to narrow in on the third one. I just called up one where I have just finished Priority: Rannoch (after doing the complete Rannoch arc). Miranda's third email is there... but it's already been read. Ashley's is also there, but it's new and unread. I have not met with the Asari councillor on the Citadel yet. Unfortunately, my previous save in that file is at the elevator during the Citadel coup.
I think the trigger for getting that third email is that you've at least done the dreadnought and, perhaps, have done at least 1 or maybe even two other missions after having talked with her at the Spectre Terminal.

It might be. I know after completing the dreadnought, I visit the Citadel and head to the spectre terminal.
