I don't think I knew this when I was doing these before (or it has since changed), but this is pretty huge- last time I tried these, I was always thinking I had to get 4 individual gold medals for Ash- so like 20 HS/5 grabs/75 SR kills/75 AR Kills, or 20 HS/5 grabs/75 SR kills/50 Tech Kills. But if Killstreaks (or 10 WS) can count as a personal gold medal then I won't need to milk objective waves to get both 75 SR Kills and 75 AR Kills, or 75 SR/AR kills and 50 Tech Kills (or whatever). This may not be as painful as I was thinking. yup, KS and WS are all kosher for those who can pull them off consistently, or at all. hint: i'm not one of them. so i've stuck to Grabs/HS/50 AR/ and 75 Kills so you don't need both weapon kills medals. Get grabs, headshots out of the way and then keep an eye on the weapon one... lay off the grenades probably until that one pops yeah... about that *crying in N7.1 PTSD* nah, joking it wasn't that bad. despite everything (fuck those 0:00 deaths, eh Forest) i have to admit i actually kinda liked it. in a masochistic kinda way. plus cryo ammo! N7.2 and Ariake though  so fucking ....boring. edit: oh and for Ash, don't go for Tech Kills since your only source there is Tech Bursts (in case of Disruptor ammo) deaths. imagine the effort to score 50 of those

So first tier for survivalist done  ... 1.I. Build and loadoutEscort - Hack - Retrieval I don't like this kit but I don't particularly dislike it either. She's strong and usually I don't put anything in fitness (  except for melee builds for lulz). As for this challenge, it was on my third attempt that I got it... 1.II. Build and loadoutTargets - Escort - Escort This on I like though Crusader would not be my first choice for him ... I even grinded a little as this was my 7th (or 8th) attempt. 1.III. Build and loadoutRetrieval - Retrieval - Hack This is exactly the kind of solo in which I wish I'd have learned to run with the pizza  . Plus I botched the hack on W10  . Considered grinding for it (was just my 3rd attempt) then decided against it because life is too short to kill Collectors with the Phaeston. Plus the Praetorian trolling (got grabbed from behind once  )... No, thank you! |

Yeah it was the goons during the objective that got me, and I figured it'd be a tall order to get 5 WS on the next 5 waves instead of the first 5. Still possible, obviously (I've managed 10 WS with much squishier kits than the Human Soldier, even on Plat). Plus I was sort of raging at that point. GD Trollberus. I'll give it another go with level IV gear later today.

i m still sucking @ heart of hydra and will sure have some new nice fails to showcast later on ;D I just had another one where I made it even farther- died 2 feet from the LZ/EZ with the 2nd pizza, on wave 6- already had 20 HS, 5 grabs, and wave 6 would have been my 5 WS (so I could have just grenade-spammed my way to victory from there- I don't remember if I had weapon kills + total kills gold medals yet but those wouldn't have been an issue).

On my last attempt for the day yesterday I got the 5 WS, had my 4 gold medals, and was kiting enemies for a shitty w6 devices when I got synced by some sneaky little phantroll who I didn't see hiding back there. I just need to roll decent objectives and I'll have it, but RNG isn't cooperating so far  |
