I had a really nice looking, strong back after this challenge No AR, Disruptor IV, PAIV, Katana, and nades for days is how I eventually did it. I bitched a lot about it many a time. Well I am happy I am not the only one struggle with this shit challenge! How do you finally manage it? You have 2 options to manage it: the one DF has detailed with the Katana and disruptor, or going with the Revvy with inci ammo. The way I went about almost all challenges is to watch the videos in the HOF wherever they were available to get pointers. P.S. And try to post in this thread whenever you want to talk about the N7 challenges, in order not to clutter other threads...

Well I am happy I am not the only one struggle with this shit challenge! How do you finally manage it? a placeholder for now. might have to spend an evenining or two bsning, seem to be lagging behind sadly.
anyways, re ariake for now
the weekend before last, a couple attempts. w3 targets, could not switch the the target. two missiles wasted, quit in disgust. next attempt, w3..... targets. switched all right, forgot to switch weapons. killed the next brute with a cobra headshot. like a pro. pressed on anyway, kept getting stuck in the stupid condor scenery. argh. wave 5 banshee caught up finally during one of those ima stuck can't get out moments. cue the sound of a punctured football deflating. the end.
last night, w3.... targets. deja vu. couldn't be bothered. reset. on the next attempt, w3 escort. went okay if not a tad slow had to kite shit away from the blob. w6 pizzas. fuck running. shieldboosted through ravagers and marauders crossfire like a true unkillable disgusting ball of fat should. w8 put an abrupt end to the run, probably for the best, at least according to my bladder.
shield(health)gates, shmithgates... noones got time for that!!

Oh and lso, as per Doc Muah useful, as per usual, advice 'it's quite simple, just don't die'.

I only tried Mantis and shot a lot of air. 7.2 is easy to survive till w10 with at least 5 missles. But then I die. Always. I don't know how to manage anything on that wave. Where should I stand? Because the pillar only helps me on the other waves. I don't look forward to killing banshees with my homeboi.

I don't look forward to killing banshees with my homeboi. I saved them for last and nuked them. Less of a headache that way, but I'm sure it didn't help my time any and it's probably quicker to wipe a whole spawn in the beginning of a wave. You then need to nuke the end of 5, 7, 8, 9 and hope you don't get targets. They do go pretty quickly with x3 debuff Orb and constant shooting and Ops Packs. |
