My ideal MEA romance would be a snarky Quarian lesbian who got exiled on her pilgrimage for some reason and ended up in the Arc as a merc.
Then mid-way through the game she discovers she is actually a half-geth cyborg who died in her pilgrimage and was revived to infiltrate the flotilla but ended up lost when the heretics were destroyed or rewritten.
She then spends the rest of the game unmasked because her augmentation makes her resistant to most diseases.
