Suvi is the worst case of fan appeasement to meet all needs, culminating into a vague oxymoron in human form.

She claims to be a scientist, but her functional role on the Tempest is someone who speaks out "gaseous anomalies" (which itself is too much of a scifi trope). 

This is a waste of opportunity to place someone with something truly interesting. And also a great contrast to Doctor Lexi, who actually prods the crew around to do her job, asks Ryder to check for oddities groundside, doesn't offer up a relationship. 

I apologize if I've crashed in on a Shrine for Suvi, but I thought this was a discussion board. And I'm surprised that Considering the great improvement from the Ship as a Talking head Charles Pressly to Kelly Chambers to Sam Traynor, you end up with the most milquetoast version of them all. 

You're free to think that if you want. That's the wonder of ambiguity.
I have to disagree on your correlation though since I know people who did or do that with that being where it stopped. 

I'm not a straight dude, and I never said or did a single thing you are accusing me of. In fact I've fully supported you seeing them having sex. The only person with attitude and trying to belittle others is you. 

And as a matter of fact, yes she was. Suvi like all characters was written for all the fans to enjoy. Not to mention that Bioware devs themselves talked about how she was written to be ambiguous so both those who want a sexual romance with her and those who want a nonsexual romance with her can both have what they want. 

Where? Last time I checked the official version is that she was always written as a lesbian, i.e. a woman who's sexually attracted to women and who has sexual desires for other women.

This is a thread for discussing Suvi Anwar, not a soapbox for insulting other posters for their gender/political views.
Similarly, if folk have expressed their opinions, they do not need to repeatedly do so - that starts to verge on spam.

So, thread regulars and all the rest, what ways would you suggest to give Suvi more plot relevance, interesting content, etc? I would love to see her be put in a position where she has some inner conflict. For example, maybe she's put into a situation where, no matter what course of action she takes, it's unethical? To give her some meaty character exploration of what she'd do in a difficult situation. Or maybe she's in a situation where an experiment or analysis is politically inconvenient for the Initiative leadership, and she has to betray Ryder to get that information out since Ryder has no choice but to suppress it?

Suvi doesn't strike me as the sort of person to do something that would be unethical, but the second option sounds interesting (not sure how Ryder would be put into a no choice situation, or if Suvi would betray Ryder).

Otherwise, I'd just want more conversations between Ryder and Suvi because her and the other Tempest Crewmembers got so little in comparison to the squaddies and did not feel at all comparable to the Inquisition Advisors.

For fun I'd suggest that postgame DLC would have Ryder and Suvi discussing what kind of dog they'll adopt (options being Earth breeds, Varren, or an Adhi/Challyrion).  

To give the non-squad crew the spotlight, I like the idea of Ryder and the squad being captured and it being up to the non-squad crew to get them out, sort of like the prison break in Dragon Age: Origins or how we play a mission as Joker in ME2 and our sibling in MEA. While they aren't skilled at combat, they use their other skills to get it done. For example Suvi could use her scientific knowledge, Lexi can use her biotics and medical knowledge, and Gil could use his engineering knowledge to get past the various obstacles.

Finally, I've finished the game. Ending was kinda, eh. Leaves the door open for this team again tho, wouldn't be the last we see of Ryder and crew, hopefully.
