I'm a bit annoyed that nearly everyone in higher position of our team and/or Nexus crew seems to be female. Don't get my wrong, I have nothing against female specialists...but so far we only have the Salarian pilot who's male. Do we know for sure that's a woman? Maybe they just have really bad hair.  You know, that hair looks exactly like the bob cut from DA:I to me. Sweet mercy, bioware is re-using the terrible hair we got in inquisition... oh well, as long as it's just the npcs that have to suffer through hair purgatory, I guess I can live with it  |

Yep, he said the space opposite to the pilot is occupied by the science officer. Which means Reyes has another role. I'm quoting myself from the Reyes thread... But, from the trailer that prides the scanning and analysis tools, they (Reyes and Sara) seem more focused on a mission viewpoint/theory rather than gathering scientific data so I'm tempted to go with the idea that Reyes will have his job description on the Tempest primarily focus on missions and not science. Especially with this. For those who don't read Spanish, it resonates with that thought that Reyes is crucial in helping Ryder with mission investigations. Strong CSI vibes.  Plus, like discussed, that lady looks like she definitely fulfills the science officer role or whatever. |

To be fair, the NPC looks kind of androgynous, and it's a blurry pic. Women can definitely have noses like that, and, in DA:I, the hairstyles were available to both Male Inquisitor and Female Inquisitor. I had a Fem!Inquisitor with the same hairstyle. |

It could potentially be that other people (like Kallo) around their work station had one or two there too, but I'm wondering whether it's alright for them to do that around their tech. My father used to not let me have drinks near the computer all those years ago. Is the user interface waterproof or what?

I should know the difference by now after having taken a few programming classes using GUI's, but I still keep getting interface mixed up with hardware stuff. I still worry, though. It seems like they would have been advised to keep their drinks on the floor or on another table rather than right by the tech, just in case. Then again, who knows? Maybe, like you said, they invented cups that can't spill. At least, one of those drinks looks more like a... What's the word? One of those metal or plastic refillable cups with the cap to prevent spillage. So that's good! |

Interesting info about Suvi: Aboard the Tempest--the ship that players will use to travel around Andromeda's Helius Cluster--I encountered one such person: Suvi. She's staring out into the the depths of space and admiring the view. To her, the distant stars and majestic planetary bodies are "a constant reminder of the divine intelligence behind all of creation."
Like Thane, Suvi reconciles two parts of her that, to outsiders, seem contradictory: she's a woman of science, but also of faith. During our conversation she reveals science brings her closer to something greater than herself. She's lived her life having to justify these beliefs and needing to prove that her faith in the divine doesn't diminish her work as a scientist. |
