Suvi Anwar (Official Thread)

The marketing has been pretty bad across the board but, I at least understand why they've hidden the romance options, as the announcements led to some disappointment and negative press from idiots and/or bigots. From a purely business sense it's very likely a good move as it allows them to wait until they've sold the game to tell people what they don't want to hear. The belief is that more people will not buy the game if they announce the romances than the people who will if they do, and sadly they're almost certainly right.

It sucks that we're getting the run around but, unless it hits the bottom line it's very likely to fall on deaf ears.

The thing is, this way of doing it disadvantages LGBT people the most. How many LGBT consumers are gonna buy the game expecting, idk, an m/m squadmate only to get a rude awakening in-game? As rude as this is going to sound, straight people don't have to worry that their sexuality's not going to be represented or have their straight relationships represented or have straight characters' depiction reflect all people of that group.

Yeah, some good news would be nice. Today has been such a downer. And man I'm gonna be soooooooo fuckin' disappointed if Suvi is a chaste option. I can only hope Sheryl will stick to her Lels model, religious girl who likes sex. Pls maker pls.

Don't get me wrong, I agree it sucks and I'm certainly not happy with the decision I can at least understand it. Sure, it screws us over but, realistically we're going to play the game regardless. Remember we're in the 5% of players that actually post on forums and engage with the community and even among people who are engaging in the Mass Effect community not all of them care about romance, and many more don't care about them beyond the existence of straight romance for Scott. I don't know whether or not the confirmation of Suvi or any other example as a romance would end up being a net negative in terms of income, but sadly I think it probably is.

I'm hoping they are options, but the leak that seems to be more and more true doesn't have them among the LIs. It'd be great if they are and just not counted because of not having sex scenes, but in case not I'm hoping Suvi is like that. 

Yeah, they've talked about in an article about how balancing her faith and science is a big part of her character.

I feel you. I'm about 95% sure that Suvi will be my canon Sara LI and I really don't need Josephine: The Sequel.

Alright, this is gonna be sort of a tangent but who do you like the idea of Suvi getting with if she doesn't get with your Sara? I feel like it should be someone enthusiastic about science. Perhaps... Peebee, since she's really into the Remnant tech?

The sexual lesbian option could always be off-ship like one of the m/m options are suspected to be. Plus Suvi could still be a lesbian romance, just a nonsexual one like how Solas was for straight female elves.

I doubt it, that would bring a sea of salt.

If Suvi is asexual, she could be homoromantic but it is still an asexual romance. A lesbian is a homosexual, so it is sexual and it was confirm by the devs but yes it can be ambiguous in design like Solas. At this point Vetra is a more likely candidate in my opinion.

I am fine with either really, I do not care about sexy times in video games unless if it is for the lols but hope everyone gets at least one good romance.
