Her replies are definitely pretty good, judging from that one example.

As for Suvi, it's not like they can just rehash the "cute quirky girl" since we already got Peebee. And Vetra is "cold, analytical, but caring." Cora is the "friendly, tough professional." So maybe Suvi is the intense, passionate, self-righteous one to contrast with them? Goes on long, disturbing monologues about the nature of the universe and everyone else in the room is trying to explain to her, "Hey, Suvi, honey, you're at a 10 when we need ya at about a 5."

I never really thought of it as a spectrum or anything but... She's probably pretty femme, tbh. Maybe shorter hair, if she's the NPC in the OP picture.

I just remembered how people said that Ashley Williams "couldn't" have been bi because she's religious.

If Suvi's the lesbian, then she's definitely going to be disproving some bizarro arguments over the years.

Can't wait for the people who're gonna use that to argue that Suvi "should" have been straight.

We don't even know what religion she is, anyways. I feel like we've been assuming she's Catholic since she's Scottish, but, for all we know, she could follow a new bizarre space-age religion.

I want to believe Scientology ended decades before the events of the franchise began.

The whole religion thing could probably go one of two ways: either it's well done and nuanced and everyone finds it well-written even if they hate Suvi, or it's hamfisted and obnoxious and we have one more character to avoid in-game. I'm eager to hear more about her, though, just to satiate my curiosity. I did.... hear a few things, but nothing about her as character.

Yeah, I'd say medical advances would allow Sloane to look young still, but Bioware shows their human characters to "look their age".

Since I have less free time than I used to, I can't actively keep up on threads well, so most of the time I end up catching up and making multiquotes out of what I wanted to respond to. It's not always ideal, but there it is.

And +1 for hoping Suvi is like Cass!

I would think that's what the 5 1/2 "Futch" part is, but I don't know.

I feel like this is likely. I'm apprehensive about it for that reason. I don't want them to do what they often did in DA:I and have the NPC always get the last word; I'd like some well-thought-out options as replies to her, as well as varying types of reactions. So it also has to do with how they have/let Ryder interact, not just Suvi herself.

I also know it's an important part of her character and possible arc, but I hope we also get to talk about other things with her (like sciency things in general). So hopefully they can strike a balance there, too.

Oh god, could you imagine the player-reaction if she went "Commander who?"?  Although it would be hilarious if we could play our Ryders as Shepard fangirls/fanboys.
