We know we can have N7 armours. I think it's not related to our ranking though. We can simply wear them. That makes no sense. We shouldn't be able to wear N7 if we aren't N7. Does it matter in Andromeda? They might not follow Alliance programs.

not bad. Curious to who the man and woman are with Ryder near the beginning I'm 99.9999% sure that's Alec and Cora. I'm actually pretty sure it was Alec, Sara and Liam. She really doesn't look like Cora to me

OMG it's 60fps glory, probably taken from the PC version. Looks awesome. Also, check out this fucking cool armor here! Definitely ME3's N7 armor. What's interesting is it's on a female Ryder, yet the forearm detailing that was only present on Maleshep in ME3 is there. I remember being irked by it's absence in ME3 itself (as it was there on the ME2 Femshep version) so nice to finally have it rectified, albeit rather unexpectedly

It's certainly the highest rank in the Alliance Military. Not really, since it's separate from the rankings of captain, major, admiral. Sorry. I basically meant it's the highest rank for Alliance special forces. It's also possible that the 'C' originates with the Initiative. It's a multi-species project, so I wouldn't expect them to use necessarily use Alliance terms.

I mean N7 is simply an army codification if we are able to craft armorur or other items used by N7 solider because they were included in the projects database of the ark what prevent the player from using it? A n7 armor glove is a glove, you put on your hand and that's it.

I haven't seen a Claymore nor an Arc Pistol yet. Hopefully we'll also get an LMG like the Typhoon again. The combat looks fluid and the side-strafing seems promising. I was afraid it would be like the TGI dodge. The 3-power restriction is a shame, but depending on how easy it is to change profiles (perhaps even during combat?) it might just turn out alright. To be honest, I'd rather see a 20-minute video of combat with comentary rather than these trailers, where you need to stop every second frame to get some info. The other day, Ian replied to a tweet concerning the Claymore with, "Nope, but we have something similar/better to fill that niche". That's not a direct quote, but you get the point. No claymore, unless something changes. Drack's shotgun, the name of which I can't recall, is its MEA successor. I know there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth, but it could be a direct upgrade. We won't know until we use it. Lore wise, it makes sense the Clan Nakmor would bring the shotgun they prefer.

Either that's Ryder Father, a knock-off armor like Conrad's, or we can get the rank of N7 as pathfinders... It's been known for quite a while that Scott or Sara become N7 after something happens with Alec. That is Sara wearing a nostalgic ME3-esque N7 gear right there. I'm pretty darn sure this isn't the first time we've seen Scott or Sara in N7 ranking gear. They showed the exact same thing in the TGA trailer if I'm not mistaken. It's just something that happens after Act 1 I bet, like getting Skyhold in DA:I.

No, I think we become N7 around 1/3 way through the story after overcoming something massive that promotes us. That's how N7s are born or maybe we're tryouts after a big mission that make the Ai's Alliance personnel test if we're capable of the promotion.

All that remains to convince me this will be amazing is that the dialogue system has to be used as frequently as the combat and we should be able to resolve conflicts without guns at least a couple of times and then I need to see at least a handful of quests be more satisfying than the crap they put into DA:I.

The Alliance isn't there as an official partner either. It'd only some of its soldiers that got recruited. I simply doubt we'd become both Pathfinder and N7. It's redundant to have teo promotions at the same time.

I'm betting they just actually wear the fathers gear after w/e drama with him happens I assumed this in the past too but last I played ME3 I read a lot of the codex regarding N7 and it states N7 ranking soldiers are those who have overcome something of great risk and something not every soldier is cut out to do, like life-threatening situations or extreme survival conditions, and I don't think the Ai you'll report back to during this game will really be okay with you casually wearing whatever N7 armor someone has given you, so I'm thinking we actually go through some formal procedure that makes us worthy of wearing it.

It would seem strange though that they manufacture N7 gear in Andromeda if they don't actively use the N7-label as part of their commanding structure.

I liked the trailer, but I did noticed that combat A.I. looks rather dodgy. Hopefully it is just lower difficulty setting for sake of presentation of combat abilities. Agreed. It did appear to be a lower difficulty setting, for whatever that's worth. I kept snickering as Mac described the proper use of a power, and the dude playing completely bungled it. He can't shoot accurately, isn't a very sharp player in general... typical dev-player stuff. That said, I do wish I had this game in my hand, now. It's hard to fully assess it just from videos, but I've seen enough, now, to be excited. (I really didn't want to end my post with bashing someone else's skills like a douche.)

The part about the Alliance not being directly involved? Opinion, based on the initiative being privately funded and various hints about it being mysterious. I guess it might be possible the Alliance is involved, but I personally doubt it. In any case, it doesn't make much sense to get two promotions at the same time. We don't really need to be N7 if we're Pathfinder.

Excellent news. This is what I've been waiting for and wanting. I'm really interested to see how evading and cover works since they opted to remove ME3's cover mechanic and my beloved combat roll. I'm concerned with the cover system as well - never liked the one button does all idea. At the 5:13 - 5:14 mark. It's not really clear since the animation was cut and switches to another scene. He's behind a barrier and has just fired at an enemy. But then instead of ducking or leaping the barrier, it looks like it's doing that old unsuccessful roll we've seen before in ME 3

I'm a little sad at all the disappointment, but I can understand that for those who got into the multiplayer. Me? I am made of hype right now. Andromeda just surpassed Breath of the Wild as my most wanted game of 2017 to date, because: 1) Beam weapons. With cooldown. Beam weapons with cooldown. I have nothing against the FPS genre as a whole, but I loathe how slugthrower fandom has made the laser beam and its big siblings persona non grata in video games. Also, I hate having thermal clips forced on me with an irrational fury. (Mind you, if you like 'em, go for it.) I may never use a Milky Way gun in ME again. 2) Dat Mass. Oh, how I love what we've seen of the biotics. I'm a TK nut, and seeing that Gravity Gun Lift/Throw/whatever grabbing enemies and blasting them at their own team...sweet, sweet karma. And the hover-Charge combo. And that Annihilation field. And did you notice that Barrier is a passive now? Yay! And...pretty much all of it, really. Yeah, I wants me some biotics in this game. 3) Favorite power sets. Only three usable powers? Try at least twelve, with the four Favorites options shown. Shepard just became obsolete. Seriously, BW, why didn't you show this before? My Sentinel/Explorer is going to be such a happy Ryder... 4) Almost-flight. I have a serious weakness for jetpacks, and I was afraid that ours was going to be pretty weaksauce. Obviously, this is Mass Effect and not Dark Void (that was half of a really good game; pity they never finished it), but watching the hovering and back-dashing and air-Charging makes me want ME:A now.5) Last, but not least, melee weapons. I didn't think I'd care about these, but the variety plus the versatility make me want to play with these. Those Asari Swords look sweet. Plus, since I mentioned biotics earlier...did anyone else catch those Biotic Amplifiers? So yeah, I'm hyped. I was sold when I heard about the Vintage Heat Sink, but with the Remnant weapons, it looks like I won't even need them. This video just has me so hungry to join the Initiative.
