I actually did write up a fic (haven't posted it yet) where they do just that. When I put it up, I'll be sure to drop a link by here. But yeah... The fact that the whole thing happens in the space of a two minute conversation at best is ludicrous. Like, this is a major, life changing event, this is something you put time and thought into, not just jump into it because the opportunity happens to exist in this moment - it's not even like this is a decision that HAS to be made at that moment. I mean, I get the impression that Ryder, Gil, and Jill are all in the same age range, which means that Jill's still going to be able to bear a child for at least another ten YEARS, not even getting to the option of using other surrogates. Nothing about this decision HAS to be taking place right this very second. You, fanfiction writers, are a bless. I would love to hear what people come up with improvements to the baby conversation or the baby plot. I wrote Jill out of the picture and the baby too. I guess for me it's too late to make the baby work, but that's just me personally. I'm sure it wouldn't take much effort to do better then BioWare did. I've seen several people do so in this thread alone.  |

I think there are more ways to get around this as well. I am sure Bioware is capable of that too but the question is whether they would be willing to do so or not, especially in a DLC or the next game. |

I'm trying to roamnce Gil but I'm stuck @@. I'm supposed to get a mail or have a conversation with him after I met Jill in Prodromos, kissed Gil & told him I was interested in a serious relationship, but I got nothing after that, no mail & when I go to speak to him, nothing special, he just call me good looking then the usual dialogue choices :x
If anyone can help me T.T

So since I'm in need of cheering up since my Jaalmancer got the letter from Gil inviting him to meet the hellbeast... What would YOU have given Gil as a story instead?
I mentioned some pages ago, I would have focused on how he runs himself ragged on the Tempest as a psychological justification for coming to Andromeda - since he's a 'live in the moment, go with his gut' type of person, he's having second thoughts about having joined the Initiative, but that's a decision he can't undo, so he throws himself into working on and upgrading the Tempest, so that it can do things that no one ever anticipated or expected it to, be of greater use to the Pathfinder, and just basically provide something that only he, Gil Brodie, could have done - basically provide his arc as a mirror of Kallo's. Ultimately leading to Ryder telling him that all he needs is Gil, specifically.
