No, what you should do (if you're planning to carry this character into 2 and 3) is keep her alive, then shoot her in 3. I wouldn't. I let her back on the Normandy. Next to James, she's the toughest squadmate in ME3

I have a feeling that autograph I just signed is going to come back to bite me in the ass. Nope. Conrad is a good character. He means well. When you see him the next time, he will have one of the best lines in the trilogy. The line only applies when playing femshep. The other thing. Help a character named Jenna on the Citadel, if you haven't already.

If you've already talked with Rita, you would have an assignment called Citadel: Rita's Sister. The journal is pretty extensive in ME1. If you click on the individual entries, they open up to tell you how you're progressing through each side-quest.

And she does the most weapon damage with Garrus. I would say more with James. Garrus and Ash do the most because their passives have base weapon damage modifiers in them at rank 5 and 6 that partially make up for the huge weapon damage penalty that squadmates get in ME3 (0.3x multiplier).

Thanks... mod doesn't help me though since I'm on the Xbox. Oh well, I'll just keep up not putting any points into that skill. It would be nice though to use her to her full ability.

Not sure where you're at in your playthrough, but if you haven't left the Citadel yet, I would suggest staying and doing as many side missions as possible before getting back on the Normandy. I believe if you complete everything that can be completed, the player ends up around level 10 or 11. Nearly all of that is not fighting. So that will help you out when facing the baddies.
The same for when you're using your mini-me SR1 on the map. Some planets can be scanned from space giving you experience points. As I say. It helps when fighting because you're at a higher level and depending on where you put your points, it can help with opening crates, boxes or whatever.

I never pay attention to the numbers. I go by the results I see during gameplay. James and Ashley do the most damage when I have them together.

Does that make Canon Shepard a Renegade? Not sure about default ME2 Shep, but my default ME3 Shep did seem to be more R than P since no upgrades were done and no loyalty missions completed in 2. It's a terrible game-state that I won't ever use again. I just rage-quit over the first decryption door. There is no mod for it at Nexusmods. Please tell me I won't have to do this very often, or that I can soon purchase an upgrade to auto-complete them.
In order to open locked crates and other goodies, make sure to put skill points in Electronics and Decryption, at least up to the point where you can open the highest level items. Unless you (or your squadmates) have high enough skill level, you won't be able to open them either manually or by using Omni-gel. You will just get a message that "you don't have enough skill to do this."

I spoke to Rita, Jenna (that's where I saw the name before...she's a bartender), and an old limping Turian last night before going to bed, so I'll be helping Jenna pretty soon. It was also interesting to meet Wrex for the first time, since he was dead in the ME1 default worldstate that I got for ME2. Shepard becoming a spectre was a little underwhelming. The council wasn't thrilled about it, and seemed to only allow it to pacify the silly humans who they don't actually respect, but just want to keep quiet. But maybe it was just underwhelming because I know it was a given. So far, there are things to like about this game (Citadel being so big and open being the major one), and I'm glad I'm playing it once just to actually see the whole story. However, on subsequent playthroughs of the trilogy, this game may get reduced to a session with the save editor so I can move on to ME2, where the dialogue is less boring and Shepard has more depth. We'll see, though. It's still early Ah man. A spoiler about ME3 on an ME1 thread. Can't read here either :/ Aw, sorry But uh...where? I don't see anything. I hope I didn't leave one, although I guess I can't make any guarantees for others who post here.

Paragon Shepard is kind of a snooze fest so far. Line delivery is very flat. While I want to import a goody-goody into ME2, I also don't want to be bored by her. How much will it screw me up to choose some bottom-right dialogue options as long as I put plenty of points into charm? Choosing some renegade dialogues is absolutely recommended and it is unlikely that it will limit your ability to get up to 12 charm points by the end of the game (mild spoiler in tag): There is actually enough paragon and renegade dialogue options available in the game that you can absolutely have a character at the end of the game that is very close to 50/50 of each and unlocked 12 available slots for each (the draw back is one has to pull points out of their combat prowess to utilize those slots). Done well, it is possible to get the maximum import bonus for both paragon and renegade going into ME2. There are also 2 "morality alignment" missions that can BOTH be opened up in ME1 if the player is 50/50, but neither of those missions impact on ME2 or ME3. Speed runs - The record time for a no glitch, one-sitting speed run AFAIK is 2 hours 46 minutes and change. The play through is actually available on YouTube. (I've come pretty close to this time, but my run was segmented - forced by a bug that got me stuck in the CIC - so I had to save , stop and reload, which broke the run). "Official" speed runs that incorporate glitches in the game are in the range of 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Something like that?) in C-Sec, although I wouldn't have anyway since I'd like to do that mission. Is that a problem? Or unusual in any way?

So of them at the Citadel do require some points being assigned that you haven't done yet (i.e. they are sort of meant to be done on your next visit to the Citadel). However, as themikefest suggested, this puts you at a lower XP level when you leave the Citadel and can make the combat tough because you're gear is also basically crap at this stage of the game. Trying to do all the side-missions before leaving the Citadel is sound advice from that XP perspective... but you will probably encounter a couple where you won't be able to use the charm and/or intimiate options to resolve them. It's usually not a critical thing though.

Decided to help the salarian and volus continue scanning the keepers, but opted not to help the cheating salarian. Still need to go back and talk to Conrad again, trace a signal coming from a rigged gambling machine, and explore some areas of Citadel that I haven't been to yet. I'm currently dragging Garrus and Tali around Citadel with me. Tali is ok...comments are a bit boring, I guess. But Garrus appears to have lost his personality somewhere. Where is the snark? "The ambassadors have this beautiful park to relax in, but...heh, most of them are too busy to ever use it." Really. Ya don't say, Garrus.
