It was said before that Quarians didn't need the suits on there own ships, but they ret-conned it in ME2 so they wouldn't spoil the surprise (which turned out to be that Quarians faces were just like humans with lines on them) I played ME3 and never got to see a quarian, even though Tali took her visor off. Did I miss it somewhere? It's part of the romance arc for a MaleShep... in ME2, no face is revealed. In ME3, she sends Shep a picture. (Most players were greatly disappointed and the approach Bioware took on this as well as the "face" that they ultimately gave Tali). I tend to head canon that Quarians actually look nothing like the picture and that Tali was just yanking Shep's chain because, after having had sex with her, he would know exactly what she looked like.

I have the license already, I think. I need to go talk to Conrad a third time, though. You can do planetary exploration without driving the mako; that is, you can get out of the mako and walk extensively around the planets. However, you get stuck by not being able to climb where you need to go to reach everything and you have to walk all the way back to the mako to leave the planet. (Not good level design, IMO) Below, in the spoiler is a list of the planets that have Asari Writingss on them, so you can focus yourself on just getting the 10 asari writings that have an impact on ME3 if you wish (It's slightly spoilery because I named and slightly described the missions that are on some of the planets, but I think it's probably within your tolerance levels; and some of them I suspect you've already done): Note: You can get 8 of the 10 Asari Writings required by scanning the systems from orbit, leaving only 2 that you'll need to land on a planet and drive the mako to obtain.
Asari Writing you can get just by scanning planets from orbit:
1. Porolan (Macedon System, Artemis Tau Cluster) 2. Ploba (Anteaus System, Hades Gamma Cluster) 3. Paravin (Hans System, Gemini Sigma Cluster) 4. Klencory (Newton System, Keplar Verge) 5. Matar (Hong System, Armstrong Nebula) 6. Junthor (Gagarin System, Armstrong Nebula) 7. Veles (Pax System, Horsehead Nebula) 8. Pataiton (Vostok System, Maroon Sea Cluster)
Some of the above clusters open up only after either Feros or Noveria main missions are completed (that is; there are terminals on these missions that open up some clusters on the Galaxy Map)
That leaves only two you need to get while actually landing on a planet:
Sharjila (Macedon System, Artemis Tau Cluster) - UNC - Asari Diplomacy mission (given to Shepard by Nassana Dantius after 1st main plot missiom completed; will influence some dialogue on Thane's recruitment mission in ME2) Ontarom (Newton System, Kepler Verge) - UNC - Dead Scientists mission (is the background mission for a Sole Survivor Shepard; depending on decisions made, it may result in Shepard receiving an email in ME2 from Corporal Toombs) Tuntau (Phoenix System, Argos Rho cluster) - Wrex - Family Armor mission (equivalent of a loyalty mission in ME1, may affect the status of Wrex later on in ME1, depending on Shepard's ability to charm or intimidate or lack thereof)
These planets also have asari writings, but the main missions on these planets are part of sequence involving missions first on still other planets that don't have Asari Writings:
Solcrum (Grissom System, Armstrong Nebula) - last planet in a 5-mission series that acquires Tali's data and results in an optional dialogue path in ME2) Altahe (Acheron System, Styx Theta Cluster) - 2nd mission in a 2-mission series that opens up after Noveria plot mission is completed Nonuel (Plutius System, Hades Gamma Cluster) - Renegade Morality Alignment mission, requires a certain level of renegade points to unlock (planet contain 2 sets of Asari writings) Chohe (Cacus System, Hades Gamma Cluster) - Paragon Morality Alignment mission, requires a certain level of paragon points to unlock (planet contains 3 sets of Asari writings)
... and you will need to talk to Conrad 3 times to complete "The Fan" mission in ME1 and set up to do the quest involving him in ME2, and the one involving him and Jenna in ME3. Thanks for the list! You're right, they aren't too spoilery for me I'll definitely make use of it. It occurred to me to just run around on planets instead of taking the mako, but it's so slow that I'd rather flail around in the tank, as frustrating as that can be. _______ I finally went to visit the Sol system. I can't believe it took me so long to remember to go! Not that I got to do anything there other than read little blurbs about each planet In ME2, I once just sat watching the city lights on Earth as it turned, and at least the other planets had resources to harvest. Will I get to watch Shepard try to dance in this game at all? Or do I need to wait until I'm back on ME2 for that?

Oh, also...Garrus makes a comment in ME3 about how they used to talk in elevators. Are my squad supposed to be talking through those elevator rides? Because they don't.

There is a mission on the moon (Luna: Rogue VI) - Hackett should give that to you when you reach Level 20 and you can do it anytime after that before the final mission. Yes, there can be dancing in Flux. You need to go back and help Doran with a problem first. Then the time you go back to Flux after that, Doran will be on the dance floor and you can dance as well. If you're in a romance position and you have your LI with you, you can also click on them (it takes a couple of tries) and they will dance with you.

Keep riding difference elevators around the Citadel with different squad mates and you'll eventually trigger at least some of the different conversations. Also, be sure to take Garrus and Wrex to the Krogan statue area and click on them to trigger a conversation there. There are other points around the citadel and on the plot worlds where you can turn around and click on squad mates to get them to say something. They usually don't say too much on the side-mission planets.

Doran had nothing to say, still, but I will check again after the next main mission. I did finally offer to help Schells, and then gave the device to Doran instead, and he mentioned that he likes dancing, but that's it. I'm not sure about a romance in this game, since I intend to go back to Garrus in ME2. Right now, I figure I'll just see how it goes between Kaidan and Liara, since they both think I'm flirting with the other one. I like Liara better as a character (and probably will do a romance with her eventually), but I think I'd feel bad about breaking her heart, whereas at least Kaidan will get the chance to verbally abuse me in the next two games, and I can just headcanon that he's feeling spurned on top of the Cerberus thing. Oh, also...Garrus makes a comment in ME3 about how they used to talk in elevators. Are my squad supposed to be talking through those elevator rides? Because they don't. Oooh, I hope I get to see the Earth from the moon! You will. My Shepard just stands looking at Earth for a few minutes. The greatest planet in the universe. I bring Ashley and Kaidan with me so both can see Earth as well. Its too bad Shepard can't make a comment about that

I'm on the moon now! And there's Earth, looking all sideways down at us On my way out of Citadel, I finally triggered an elevator conversation with Garrus and Wrex. After their awkward exchange at the statue, this gives me hope that they can...avoid killing each other? Maybe?

Good work with Schell's device... did you gamble with it 5 times first, though (I know, I know... I'm a doubling-daling snake... ) Krogan Statue.... Gives you a little bit different look on things, don't it? Caught me off guard the first time as well.

I'm on the moon now! And there's Earth, looking all sideways down at us ME1 has some of the best night skies on random alien planets. Less interesting in the day but I love the scenes where there's some planet or star huge in the sky making the whole scene very beautiful.

Huh. Fiddling with stuff and I was curious so I tried to use a face code in 1 -- apparently not a thing. Never noticed. So, yeah, ignore what I said. The slider thing is your best bet.

JUST when I thought I'd get to do another mission without the goddamn Mako, there it is, waiting for me. I made it do a 360 flip while trying to go up a gentle incline. That's got to be a special talent.

Eek! So the scientists are the actual test subjects. I really hope Saren didn't manage to get ahold of any samples of this plant. I guess I will find out soon...possibly tomorrow, though. I'll have to sign off for the night before much longer.

The really talented drivers turn it on its top and can't get it right side up again without calling in the Normandy. Not that I've ever done that.....

I'm about to go back to Zhu's Hope and fight through the infected colonists. I have no grenades. I don't think I've found a single one of those since I used my initial supply at the beginning of the game. This should be interesting

This should be interesting You can punch/melee them all instead if you don't want to kill them. They usually just get added into your inventory when you open the regular crates. I've never experienced a shortage of them.

I'm about to go back to Zhu's Hope and fight through the infected colonists. I have no grenades. I don't think I've found a single one of those since I used my initial supply at the beginning of the game. This should be interesting You can punch/melee them all instead if you don't want to kill them. Yeah, I found that online when I went to search for where I might find more grenades. I still managed to kill two accidentally. Then the one shot himself in front of me, and my "colonists alive" count didn't go down. I guess that one didn't count?

That's Fai Dan... he'll shoot himself no matter what you do and no, he doesn't count.

Kaidan. Liara. Really? I just got off the space phone with the council, and you choose now to have a romantic confrontation? Can't I at least have a shower first? No? Fine. We'll see which one of you I hate less after this is over.

Dammit, I can't choose. I feel bad for both of them, especially because I know that Garrus is going to win in ME2 no matter who I choose now.
Why did you both have to ninjamance me, huh? Why?

Chose Liara, cuz we mind-melded. And then the next line from her glitched "I feel bad for her, Shepard. I hope she'll be ok." Did the game mix up Kaidan with Ashley, maybe? I don't recall installing any romance mods that might have caused that. Ah well. It was already awkward. What's a bit more? Edit: Eyyyup. The game mixed up Kaidan and Ashley, as Shepard's next line made clear. Is that common?? Edit again: Aaaaaand I think I just broke up with her. She started talking about how she is only 106, barely an adult, and I felt like a cradle-robber. So I told her I understood her hesitation. Shortest romance ever?
