Only if you listen to troll's like Dutch and his girlfriend. Who constantly slate it yet haven't played it. Wait, dutch has an equally pessimistic girlfriend? Who is this lady so I can read her posts? Who is dutch (this guy maybe dutchsghost7) ? And who is his girlfriend? You know i really look foward to see those alien worlds. Even though the uncharted worlds at Mass Effect 1 were pretty empty i loved to roam around them in the Mako while admiring the view. That is probably the thing i miss most in Mass Effect.

I must confess my curiosity is piqued on one point. Your squad may not all be on good terms with you but we have not seen anything like da approval meters. Will this mean there is one or is the system more organic?

The main concern for me is some of the people bringing up that the open areas are bland. Which was what I feared all along. Infact I called that around the time they first started showing off the different locations. They instantly gave me Inquisition vibes. That kinda sucks to be honest, as Inquistion while it had a lot of aesthetic locations they were otherwise empty and uninteresting in terms of exploration. Meh, I would have been ok with a more linear experience over the illusion of something more expansive.

Most previews have a consensus that the environments look great and are unique. Are there gonna be open areas of nothing? Well yes, but that's because by design of having a vehicle in the game, it has too.

This wouldn't have happened if other big companies hadn't started making BioWare-esque games like Witcher 3 and Horizon where facial animations look impressive and polished. Back before we could only compare BioWare face animations to Bethesda games that looked super dumb I dunno if Horizon is a good example to use. I also don't think people are taking into account that Ryder's face can be customized. If a company can develop a game where the protagonist's face can be fully customized, and still manage to have Uncharted level facial animations, then that's beyond impressive. THIS!

It looks like a good game to me in truth. I am just worried about the facial animation.

Take any ten pics of any open world game and you will have a good chance of seeing bland areas. 2. Bland areas aren't much of an issue as long as there is compelling things to do. And it sounds like most of the devs have played through Elandon (sp) which is giving a hinterlands vibe but inquisition got so much better after you got out of there.

I thought I read somewhere that there is some sort of "relationship log" that tracks somewhat how other characters feel about you (or was it more of a personality log? i can't remember). Either way the system does have some visible numerical measurements associated with your dialog choices, but it seems like it won't be nearly as overt, and will probably be much more nuanced than either DA:I or ME3.

But according to the Internet, the game will be a horrible depressing experience. didn't you hear? They played an earlier version of the game.
