Peebee is easily the most annoying character I've ever heard in a ME game. It was like having two narrators between SAM and her. I hope every mission isn't like that or I won't use her at all. Ian Frazier's comment on the dialogue. In addition to this, that was PeeBee's loyalty mission. She was clearly following a script due to her relevance to the mission.

Got a good feeling about this one, just like Sera. :ulikeit: Don't get the hate for Sera at all to be honest. Say what you like about DA:I, you could get some pretty damn good screenshots from it. Oh, I get why people don't, but that doesn't stop her from being one of my all-time favorite DA characters.

Other people don't. Most people don't, as far as I can tell. Regardless, a plethora of screenshots don't say anything about Sera's character. Hence me not being surprised by you not being able to understand why people dislike her. The post basically reads like, "I don't get why people don't like Sera. See how cool she is in this screenshot." People tend to dislike her personality. Which doesn't show in those images. People are more than happy to dislike Sera, I don't. Instead of writing an exhaustive thesis on why I like her, I thought people would have the gumption to realise that posting some screenshots would indicate that I kept her in my party, therefore I liked her character enough to keep her around. Clearly I was wrong, and for that I apologise unreservedly and will not hesitate to write paragraphs of guff to back up my statements in the future.

I do get it, I like her character. I found her most amusing, and she was a regular in my party along with Cassandra - hence the pretty screenshots with her in it. Other people don't. Most people don't, as far as I can tell. Regardless, a plethora of screenshots don't say anything about Sera's character. Hence me not being surprised by you not being able to understand why people dislike her. The post basically reads like, "I don't get why people don't like Sera. Dunno what's so hard to understand there: She's supposed to be antithesis of the generic fantasy elf... just as PB is supposed to be the non-Asari, Asari. It's the laziest way of making a fictional character of strong racial identity appear "interesting". Ten year olds come up with RPG characters like that.

Sera does grow though, but it isn't really shown before Trepasser, which is unfortunate.

Sera does grow though, but it isn't really shown before Trepasser, which is unfortunate. I didn't buy any of the DLC. And truthfully, even if it's the best damn DLC that has ever been made, major character development (and a conclusion to the story) being in DLC as opposed to the main game is a flaw in of itself.

Peebee is much less of an assault on the senses just based on this video. I didn't wanna die every time she opened her mouth. If anything, I felt like she sounded too much like Sara. I couldn't tell them apart, if it weren't for Sara's voice having that radio-sound, since she's in a helmet.

Your first comment said "I don't get all the hate for Sera". If you have no interest in talking about why other people don't share your opinion, maybe it would be smarter to not even bring it up? Settle down, it's an idle throwaway comment - an expression if you will - I do get why people don't get her, but I am implying I disagree with that opinion without wanting to start a tedious merry go round. Saying 'it would be smarter to not even bring it up' is such a shitty thing to say to try and close down a conversation. Fuck me but people do love an argument on here - you don't get internet points for 'winning' these things you know.

Game just looks downright boring to me. The quirky "quips every 2 sentences" writing simply isn't Biowares strong suit. The squad looks generic and downright unlikable and the animations are abhorrent.
Literally Dragon Age Inquisition in Space. This is gonna be a fun train wreck to watch.

It's a thin line between using a cliche and abusing it... in my humble opinion... and BW (ab)used this particular "totally not like all the other >blanks<" twist twice in DAI alone. They did reverse it a tad on Bull, almost uising it as a red herring, but they didn't quite follow through. Anywho... I agree on the voice (and speech pattern). Seras was definitely more painful.

Fuck me but people do love an argument on here - you don't get internet points for 'winning' these things you know. Where have I shown any indication of any tone other than calm? "Don't get her"? Funny. I got her well enough. Still hated her. How is it a shitty thing to say? I commented on how you had no interest in hearing why anyone disliked her, and your response was complaining about having to write a thesis on why you like her as a character. You're the only one discouraging a conversation here. I simply said that if you weren't interested in conversing about it, you probably shouldn't have brought it up. I wasn't arguing with you. I was saying that screenshots didn't show any desire to discuss why some people disliked her character. No, I don't get "internet points". I was trying to have a conversation. You're the one trying to shut it down or devolve it into an argument every time you reply. I think you should "settle down".

True, I'm basing that off of the mission vid and the interview with PBs VA... still could be wrong, of course.

Well, there's the difference noted in the VA trailer that the squad/crew will eventually come around Peebee and consider her part of the group. They also hinted at some problems in interacting on a deeper level with others.

I see nothing of Sera in Peebee. Peebee looks fun and i liked that the gameplay didn't show almost anything revealing the story. The first cutscene was great lol

I just want the option to vent Peebee out the airlock for that idiotic stunt she pulled. I mean how dumb can you get? And judging from the looks of things, you don't even have the option for Ryder to be pissed about it.

Other people don't. Most people don't, as far as I can tell. I wouldn't have a huge level of confidence in such an impression. In the absence of tracking data it would have been reasonable to conclude that Liara was unpopular, too

I've watched it while avoiding spoilers (basically I watched the gameplay and skills).
And I really don't get how negative people can be about MEA. I mean, I get it, some people just hava a broom up their hole. But in all fairness, the game looks fun. And all the petty stuff isn't really going to bother the 99%. And most of the critical things the 1% nag about is probably going to be fixed with the day 1 patch.
In any case, besides the player not playing mass effect as it should be played (why do reviewers always suck? It's weird...), it looks to be a lot of fun.
PS: AI will never replace a human companion (at least... not in the near future). That's what the d-pad is for.

Rewatching the shitty video again, I'm going to retract some of my words the IGN guy said, mostly about me implying that IGN people are so shitty that they don't know how long the game is.
Everyone misinterpreted his words and jumped to conclusions about game length when the Krogan dude shows up. The guy says that initial encounters with Krannit are more difficult and the encounter during Peebee's loyalty mission happen when the "main quests" were done.
Based on what Sara said earlier about him being the one "they keep running into", it's clear that Krannit is someone they either fought or had interactions with multiple times in the story. Krannit in the loyalty mission takes place after seeing him in the multiple main story quests he appears in.
Thus, the statement isn't about the length of the game or low character level for post-end game content when the game lacks a level cap and all other footage has the Ryder's being levels 58-70 in the same exact area, but is more about characters popping up multiple times in missions, resulting in cases where their plot lines really only become resolved in loyalty missions or sidequests.
In this case, we run into Krannit say, four times during main story missions, and then we can fight and defeat him in Peebee's loyalty mission.
tl;dr, nothing said in the video indicates actual game length or minimum level acquired when beating the game.
