I just want the option to vent Peebee out the airlock for that idiotic stunt she pulled. I mean how dumb can you get? And judging from the looks of things, you don't even have the option for Ryder to be pissed about it. They probably cut that part out. Perhaps,but quite honestly the whole thing looked seamless, doesn't look like there's a cut there.

So. Leaving all those Sera-PB bs aside... I've watched the video couple of times already, and here are my main issues.
1.Voice casting. SisRyder and PB sound too close, I could barely understand which one was saying what (relying mostly on sisRyder's 'helmet on' SFX). Could we possibly mistake femShep with Liara or Jack? Could we mix femQuizzy with Viviene or Sera? May be Alenko or James sounded too close to Sheploo? Nope. Never. Don't know what they've been thinking.
2. Mission 'design'. During the 17 mins of the video we've had (yes, i've been counting): - 9 scans totally - 3 'so very well hidden under the stone' consoles - 5 'normal' consoles
I'd assume that about 1\2 of the video was active combat + menu switching (may be closer to 2\3 actually, I'm too lazy to measure the exact length), so the non-combat was no more then ~8.5 minutes (or less). That would mean more than 1 fucking scan per minute of the gameplay,combined with the same amount of console using. Seriously??? And here I thouhgt that DAI 'ping search' was not a good thing. Remember how Mac (I think it was Mac) said that he loooved ME2 scanning? Well, apparently he was serious about it then.
Not to mention how they force the updating objectives before we even know what's going on. That's not even running from mark to mark on the map, that's worse. 'Heey, Pathfinder, see that door? Ooops, it's closed, but see that stone? Why don't you scan it? Heeey, look! There's a well-hidden-console! Why don't you use it? Woow! The door had opened!' My 6 years old loves those funny-looking 2D platformer-puzzles (you know, like 'Snail Bob 2' or 'Wheely', with all those levers and buttons), and god knows he has to think harder than this while playing them.
Don't get me wrong, I was not expecting to see the Dishonored2 'Clockwork&Stillton's'-level marvels here, but this IS bad, and no cut interactions can fix that. Speaking of which - I wish they had cut the remaining interactions too. PB is all 'teen-girl-with-issues' cliche, and Drak sounds too much like not-Wrex 2.0.

I'm not going to be like so many of those quick reactionary naysayers over on YouTube, and judge an ENTIRE game based on a small section, of one mission, in the game.
But, that small section of gameplay wasn't great. Just compared Like/Dislike ratio to the other gameplay videos. IGN really done messed this up, especially for the interest in the game.
Again though. Those idiots on YT need some perspective. A brief section of one mission in the game should not be in any way indicative of the entire game and missions.
God sometimes its a joke how childish and ragey gamers act and react.

Combat looks great, the running animation improved a lot from DAI. But given this is a loyalty mission, I was expecting to see a lot more about character interaction and story telling though. That stuff got cut out - allegedly. Most people seeing that will the same, though, that's why it wasn't very wise to release a vid like that in the first place...

I had so much fun cutting loose in Dishonoured 2, highly underrated game imo, the level design in some areas is amazing. What really bothers me is how long scanning takes to grant obvious information. It feels like so much pointless filler to me to bulk up game time. I think it was Josh Sawyer who said that if there is an extra step in the game that can be skipped, it should be skipped. Also, there was zero banter in the whole thing, just pointless instructions and saturday morning cartoon exchanges.

See, I actually liked Sera. She wasn't my favorite character, but I liked her.
So far, PB seems distinctly "meh". I'm not anticipating I'll be very interested.
Then again, I thought I'd hate Sera and adore the Iron Bull, but when actually playing the game I found I enjoyed her and found him to be really "meh". So I'll give her a chance.

TBH the only companion in DA:I I liked was Solas, and that's only because of the Obi-Wan/Anakin dynamic he had with my Inquisitor. The rest were meh. There is not really a single character in inquisition with the depth of the characters in DA:O, let alone the principal cast of TW3. There are things in that game that Bioware could learn from. Like did you notice there's a whole different set of animations for Yen before and after you completed her romance quest? Even if it's just in the subtle ways she stands and moves in relation to Geralt to convey more warmth than she does in the first half of the game.

"Too high to access" ...says the chick with the jet pack. The gameplay gimmicks are strong with this one. It gets worse when you remember that they could use their suits' ME fields to lower their mass when they jump, making it even easier to jet-pack up there. I tolerate some amount of gameplay gimmicks in my games, but at least make them seem plausible rather than "This obstacle you could get over in real life is blocking you, so fight waves and waves of enemies because we want to pad out this mission!" Speaking of which, I think there were a few too many Remnant drones to fight here. It could get tedious fast. However, I'll be patient making my final opinion in this regard because they said they turned off music to be more cinematic*, so maybe with some fight music to pump me up and superior combat skills to those shown in the video I'll find it less tedious. *Can't believe they think it would be more cinematic without music. Like... do they know why stories have soundtracks, or...? Other than that: I agree with others who have stated there is way too much hand-holding for a mission that should be well past the tutorial stage. Not ideal. And I dislike Peebee even more now. Not just her cringy banter, but the fact that she lures you into her dorm/escape pod just to jettison it onto a hostile world that she knows full well Kallo doesn't think he can retrieve you from, all for selfish reasons. What the hell?
Yes, I have a big problem with someone who so casually risks other people's lives for her own gain. If this was something she did on a mission with pretty much no danger, it could be seen as funny. But onto a freaking lava planet where even from the cutscene it doesn't look like they should have survived at all, and there's a 50% chance of landing in lava? Nope. Now, I can live with Ryder keeping a cool, level head and dealing with the present problem, I really hope there is a conversation after this mission where you can get very angry at her for doing that. Or kick her off the ship permanently, since she basically volunteered for that anyway Ugh. Wish they showed someone else's mission, but at the same time, it might be better not to since I'll likely enjoy them more. I'm disappointed we still haven't really seen much of the dialogue wheel. In fact, we've only seen it once. As for gameplay, it looked okay, but was hard to judge since I had the urge to grab a controller and take over from the demo-er the whole time Lastly, something people will probably yell at me for for being "minor", but it's completely unimmersive for me: At one point, Peebee says "Voila!" In case people are unfamiliar, that's a French word and in this context it basically means "There we go!" or "Got it!". I find this unimmersive and am once again disappointed because the devs need to remember their own lore, in this case about translators in Mass Effect. Peebee, or Garrus, or Wrex, etc. are not speaking English. They're speaking in their own languages that are then translated. So there is no instance in which we should be hearing a French word come out of Peebee's mouth, because the program would translate whatever she said in an asari language into the closest English approximation. Even if she was literally speaking French, the translator would just translate that, too. I don't actually like being this negative, but I didn't find a lot in this video to get excited about, sadly. Show us dialogue!

People, the "translation" lore thing is something they added after the fact with Bring Down The Sky when people started pondering how it was possible everyone spoke english. I hate to say it, but you're taking it too seriously if you have that complaint becuase it's never really made into a thing at any given point in the story. It's just one of many stylized elements that BioWare just so happened to try and handwave away when they realized some fans wanted it to matter. If you wanna start there you have to go past "how can we connect socially with aliens" at all or "how do Garrus and Shepard actually fuck?"
