OK, so that really did look like DA:I in space. Like, they've got establishing camps, founding keeps and buying perks for yourself back at the Nexus/Skyhold Hopefully the quests will be good, that's what matters. True: but think about it, it makes sense in Mass Effect to do this stuff - in DA:I it felt tacked on. Exploration and colonization are perfect together as a game mechanic - the sense of progression will be great fun, where as in Inquisition it felt a bit off IMO. The whole plot and our role in Andromeda makes those features more reasonable and logical to be present and done by the MC compared to Inquisition. It's literally the Pathfinder's job to do so. I hope they worked to make them more entertaining, and to make the story quests in each other deeper then those in DAI's areas.

Totally agree - I'm hoping for some really cool options in terms of character choice on the aforementioned 'handcrafted' planets too: shaping our stamp on the new galaxy. Gotta say, after watching that and the IGN video, my excitement levels have gone from about a 'ho-hum' 7 (they have been diminished of late) to a 'techno crotch rigor-mortis' 9 (the best type of hype). Can't wait to scoot about the cluster, custom Scott Ryder punching out Kett and bedding the local fauna haha.

The hazard conditions might become a bit of annoying at first, but if I'm not mistaken, I remember reading/hearing that we can develop protection against it.

Personally, the first 13 minutes, regardless of the pros and cons, felt like Mass Effect, and it's one of most important things I wanted for Andromeda, considering the changes.

Also, that woman with the brown skin and short brown hair is a cutie. Yeah, assuming that she doesn't have one of the scanned faces, she gives me some hope that CC-people won't look like Mr.PotatoHead this time around.

It's been a pretty steady rise of my hype level since. I'm still not super excited about exploration, but I'm feeling more optimistic that it'll be much improved over DAI. And...I'm not punching anyone I don't have to, that's what Drack is for.

I have not read the thread so I may be repeating what other people have said but from the video it looks like they lifted a lot from Inquisition. That however is a good thing as long as the quest system was improved because I liked a lot of inquisitions systems. It looks like MEA is using many of the same base systems.

Elaaden looks like it's a moon, not a planet. At least going by the gas giant in its sky.
EDIT: Or not. I might be misinterpreting this.

The whole idea of being able to see whatever planets/spacescape you're next to from inside the ship is so awesome to me. I feel like I'm going to be staring out the windows of the Tempest a whole lot.

Love it imo nice save after that mess up the other day.
They showed me Krogan I'm happy I'm going to help the Krogan as much as I can. I love the fact that both male and females seem to be represented in this game.
That has to be my favourite MEA video now.

Not too big a fan of the outposts or the viability points. As of now, it seems like mostly pointless busy-work designed to artificially extend the length of the game, without adding much to the overall narrative.
I'm fully willing to be proven wrong. But I won't be suprised if shortly after release someone writes a "GTFO of The Hinterlands" style post/guide, except geared towards said outposts and viability points.

Well, it seams to be a direct carry over from DAI. It does make more sense lore wise... orbital drop pods are a plausible way for ground crew support. I just hope there is decent number of different planets that provide a similar level of content... not one super large, stuffed planet and a couple of smaller, tighter designed ones.

I think that view we will be getting out of that front window area of the Tempest will be enough to put it above both Normandys for me. Sorry Joker.

But I thought that our job as Pathfinder was to find out which parts of Andromeda were bangable, wasn't it?
I guess you'll just have to take one for the team future of the human race.

I like exploration in games if its done right. I watched the exploration video more than a few times and I'm looking forward to exploration in ME:A. I just hope that it doesn't become insipid and I begin to dread doing it.
