Honestly my favourite thing in the video was being able to see the planets outside of your ship. That shit is really freakin cool, we dont have to sit in hyperspace forever anymore. Also I kinda love the galaxy map, it looks gorgeous.

Not too big a fan of the outposts or the viability points. As of now, it seems like mostly pointless busy-work designed to artificially extend the length of the game, without adding much to the overall narrative. I'm fully willing to be proven wrong. But I won't be suprised if shortly after release someone writes a "GTFO of The Hinterlands" style post/guide, except geared towards said outposts and viability points.
They've stated that these areas and the viability points are totally optional, so i'd hope there would be no "GTFO of The Hinterlands" style guide cos all people would have do to is go to the Tempest and use the Galaxy Map..

Random thoughts from this video: > Hopefully the whole Nexus upgrades and viability points don't require that you go out of your way to do a bunch of side stuff just for the sake of the critical path, like what happened in DA:I. > Making the Nomad have its own life support system that's affected by the hazards seems like it has the potential to just be a limiter on exploration without being very engaging gameplay. Fast travel points will at least be nice to have. > It seems the Nomad does have a very minor defensive capability in the Emergency Shield Discharge upgrade which causes a shockwave whenever its shields go down. > Most of the environments look great. > It seems only a percentage of people were woken from cryo-stasis, one again suggesting that more things have gone rather wrong for the whole initiative.I don't think anything has gone wrong. It makes sense that they would wait to wake people up in intervals instead of all at once. The Nexus wasn't scheduled to be completed until after the arrival in Andromeda correct? I don't think that, after just arriving in Andromeda that they would have the space and resources to take care of everyone in one huge burst.

Having played DA:I too much, I'm not liking how similar the perk, fast travel and keep (Nexus) building mechanics seem... I wanted something new, not a rehash! But if the options have more weight and unlocking them is less of a grind; it could still be fun. Also the enviro hazard mechanic could quickly become just annoying, instead of engaging.
But... - Most of the planets/Tempest window view looked GREAT - Planets seem to have an overarching storyline ! ! ! - The optional dungeons seem promising; I've really enjoyed similar things in Tomb Raiders and Horizon: Zero Dawn, at least

Frankly it shouldn't have been an issue in Inquisition either. I easily moved on from the Hinterlands very shortly in my first playthrough and kept coming back to it as I leveled up. In short...people are weird.

Wow this game is going to blow me away. It looks VERY beautiful and just so... Big!
Also. Comet jarovbees? Glad their humor is intact.
Lastly. I'm already conflicted over waking scientists, commerce or soldiers. So many choices this game makes me make!

Few of things I really liked about this the first time I watched it:
1) We choose who we wake up from cryosleep. This looks fucking awesome. I really like the idea that we choose who wakes up to give us certain bonuses.
2) 100 worlds? This is WAY more than I was expecting. A handful are the ones we can visit and I have no idea how many that is, but it sounds to be like 10-15?
3) Really like the way stories are woven into the planets of this game. Looks like it could be a while to get Nexus to full completion.

For comparison, how many planets could be landed on in ME1, 2 and 3? And how many regions were there in DAI?

For comparison, how many planets could be landed on in ME1, 2 and 3? And how many regions were there in DAI? DAI had 10 areas in the base game. Not counting the "hub" types like haven, skyhold etc. Then some small ones you visited once for main quest purposes generally. I'd expect something similar. 8-12 fully explorable large planets plus other areas.

Some angaran female.
And it appears they made them flat chested and bug-eyed. Interesting SJW experiment, Bioware.

It's just that so many gamers have been trained by generations of RPGs to think that if you don't do all the things before advancing the main quest (or sometimes, even before leaving a zone), you might not get to do all the things. Take Lothering in DAO for example. So they stay in the Hinterlands until they're satisfied with the amount of it they have completed.

Wayment. The Krogan, known for their issues with reproduction, come along with the Initiative to Andromeda...Pick a desert planet in the back ass end of nowhere and scarce in resources to live on...and now for some reason decide not to trust the Initiative, isolating themselves from all the other races in unknown hostile territory after being in cryo-sleep together for 600+ years when they need each other most? I have a feeling that the Krogan may go extinct in my playthrough... If some other pathfinder put them on that harsh planet, then no wonder they don't trust us/Ryder. And we arrive late, so who knows what happened while we was taking a detour.

Aren't they supposed to have their own pathfinders? Krogan had no ark of their own, so I doubt they had a pathfinder... actually, we still don't know how they even got to Helios, my guess is on the Nexus?

Keep in mind that years passed before the Nexus/maybe other Arks' arrivals and Hyperion. We don't know what happened. And yes, the krogans likely came with the Nexus.

Wow, the first mea video that i can say is absolutely awesome. Deciding who to wake up from cryosleep sounds better than paying money for someone to come even if its mechanically the same thing.
Im gonna be quite racist about this tbh. Deep down I am a Volus supremacist.
