IGN: The First 13 Minutes of Mass Effect Andromeda Video

Yep lots of original trilogy nods. From the text font and animation to the image of people peering out of the shuttle.

Funny. I didn't even hesitate to click on it. Nothing major I thought was spoiled. It kind of played out how I thought it would. Still get why others wouldn't want to play it at all. Although, it's strange how IGN is revealing all this stuff.

Not going to watch this, but can somebody comment on the quality of the music in the intro? ME1's intro had such an amazing score, it was definitely one major aspect that immediately drew me into the game and got me excited. Anything like that here?

So about the facial animation...

I'd mostly say it looks pretty good? More expressive than previous Bioware games, occasionally a bit goofy.

Cora seemed to have this inappropriate smile stuck on her face though, that was odd.

edit:  The "exploration" justification for people going on this mission convinces me less and less as Bioware try to sell it.

I have no doubt that I will love the game but the facial animations i see in this video kind of bug me... like they are trying too hard for the characters to have expressions. I loved the subtlety of Nathan's expressions in Uncharted 4 (seemed more natural). I suppose I will get used to it...

Not impressed this is actually first video that the bad facial and body twitching has really distracted me from actually taking in what is happening. Don't get me wrong looks amazing but these flaws really ruin it, and add on the constant stuttering in the dialogs and action sequences. Sure hope this wasn't release code.

I really like this video.

This was a good beginning imo, especially before being awakening from cryo. It have me ME1 vibes, good atmosphere for a space opera.

x The animations are a little better, not great, awkwardness but at least they aren't as grotesque.

x The eye sclera is too white and the Ryder's blue eyes, because they are so lighter than the rest, appear as glassy. As if they are from dolls.

x They learned nothing from DA2. If a person your character cares about gets hurt/in trouble, even when the player hasn't met/formed a relationship yet with said person, it doesn't make sense for your character to act blase about it.

x Fuck SAM and scanning

x The Captain is unbelievable beautiful, yet she has a simple face. Loved her hair. Her animations worked.

x No gravity scene was done well. Hopefully we get more in the game, could provide interesting scenes/gameplay.

x I liked how Ryder's youth (and LIAM!) was established by his excitement about adventure and a new world.

Damn, intro is jsut not the same without iconic Mass effect music Exciting video otherwise.
