Sams voice dear lord that's going to be the most annoying and way to much hand holding. Seriously did they try to do a weird neutral voice so it sounds both male and female at same time it's ridiculous.

I have fallen to temptation and watched it.
Tom (Scott) sound so much like Nolan North.
Whoever said "directed by Scott Ridley" is right on the money.
This was a most scifi intro the Mass Effect series had so far. Me like.

oh my this video hyped me up a lot! so many things to see, to feel and explore. And it's just a few minutes. It really feels like mass effect 1, but a lot better. So many mechanics, intrigues, mistery, planets, social stuff etc. I love to see how the characters respond to your choice inm the dialogue options. It makes me wonder how it would be if i had chosen the other option  There is not so many spoilerish things, if you want to know more without spoilering to much and decide if you want to watch: it only shows stuff that happens in the Ark Hyperion once they Wake up. You talk a bit with people, solve some puzzle, explore a few parts of the ship, get to the bridge, decide what you're going to do about what just happened and that's the most of it. |

i couldn't resist! Wow everything looks amazing. The graphics, the voice vast, even the dreaded animations to look very good now, at least with Scott R. that is, Sarah isn't in the video. And I'm calling it; you probably play as the sibling you didn't choose first.

Tom Taylorson sounds amazing, he's definitely convinced me to play as Scott for my second time through. Though I'm really hoping IGN chopped up the footage like they did for the gameplay video. At least through the first maybe 6 minutes I've watched the edits seem very poorly placed. Like the transition from Dr. Lexi talking about Sara to Scott saying he doesn't like the sound of something was really bad. Also the pacing seems a bit fast, hopefully it's more slow and smooth in the real game. |

Glad to see that crazy eyes and horrible facial animation isn't restricted to sarah ryder. Yay gender equality! Maybe looking like inbred hicks is a ryder family thing. Speaking of which, I really hated how many moments there are when ryder gets this really chirpy auto dialogue, really takes control of your character's personality out of the hands of the player. And the writing, well, not to be a downer but it sounds like a bad marvel movie knockoff, Also cora looks pretty inconsistent, half the time she's fine then suddenly she looks like someone wearing a human skin mask.

This is a spoiler discussion, no reason to use spoiler tags, so here we go:
My opinion.
The good:
- Tom Taylorson is really good. Went better than I expected.
- The mystery is good.
- The visuals are very nice.
The bad:
- Animation is worse than I expected. I'm feeling it's worse than Inquisition.
- Autodialogue is back in the same intensity as it was in ME3.
The ugly:
Dad is an asshole (even when you agree with him!). I can already see that he's a different leader than I will be.

Bio writers are clueless regarding prime authority in a ship. It's the captain, not the pathfinder. Her responsibility, in the immediate aftermath of the collision, is the safety of her ship & crew first and above all else. Once that is taken care of she can permit the pathfinder to do his thing. Also, the captain has control of who accesses the bridge not Alec.
This is my first takeaway impression, after watching the vid.
