same reason whiny betas always do things like that? real big strong alphas, male or female, tend to have better things to do. I don't like the "alpha" or "beta" terminology because I think it's stupid and reductionist. Does that make me a whiny beta because I don't like it or a big strong alpha because I don't care? Need to know for my resumé. well, your not wrong. do you have better things to do then worry about some idiotic dominance games?

Scott is confirmed to be 6'1". If that's manlet status I guess I'm a full blown midget. I still would like to know why other men hate small men. I mean it is just me or women overall could care less? I just find this social policing really interesting. From a Woman's instinctual point of view. Bigger means power. Stronger, faster more powerful. Thus, he has the potental to give you stronger offspring. Smaller Men are instinctually going to feel threatened. From a gaming point of view. This is just Dutch, who was obviously dropped on HIS HEAD as a kid, trolling!

Alec "I only wish I was as cool as Shepard" Ryder. Fucking second-rate, washed up N7 trash, not good enough for the Spectres is not good enough, period. 0/10, would not play, would not even twitch-stream. "It's better to burn out than to fade away" +1 for Highlander reference.

Here is a thing, this means little depending on the culture you are in. So it not really an instinctual point of view and more a social thing in my opinion. In my country the folklore is more about being short with a heavy build, and it does not depend on gender. For example Blackwall was probably a good candidate for that type of men also if you are a lesbian this makes no sense at all.

I think as a species we've advanced past petty things like "alpha" and "beta" male classifications. It's reductionist because there are a whole host of psychological and physiological factors when it comes to social dominance, it's more than just "who's bigger". In my experience, people who use terms like "alpha" and "beta" would typically fall into the "beta" category if it actually existed in our society anyway.

We should be able to play as Archon because reasons. Plot twist: Archon is actually a time travelling Alec Ryder who was sent back in time to kill normal Alex Ryder but reasons and things and Scott/Sara kill Archon but actually become Archon and then new Ryders come into Andromeda and it happens all over again and I like turtles.

Sara Ryder looks like a wimp and Scott is a manlet. Facts. Scott is confirmed to be 6'1". If that's manlet status I guess I'm a full blown midget. Except he doesn't look 6'1 and his proportions are all fucked up. He legitimately looks like a 5'6 shorty hence why he's a manlet.

Yup even though as I mentioned Connor McGregor is 5'9" 155 dude who could kick most people's ass. Most people would probably describe McGregor as an "alpha male" even though he isn't very big. Yea, obviously there are ways for smaller men to signal dominance or social worth aside from raw size. I'm 5'9" myself. Not any where near as physically badass as Connor... but there are lots of ways to show worth. Schoolyard rules usually rely on the size thing though. Besides, despite Connor's accomplishments I've heard plenty of tall-ass dudes say they could beat him on the differential alone. I don't believe it, but I believe they believe it. Perception is a hell of a thing. I would honestly love to see Connor beat the crap out of some huge dude that thinks he's tough shit.

Anywho back on topic...
I feel like Alec Ryder would be too similar to Shepard as the protagonist of a new phase in the MEU. I like him as a character and prefer the fact that we'll be the outsiders watching an N7 soldier as opposed to the badass N7 protagonist.
Scott and Sara also seem more interesting to me because they're a departure from Shepard. There's more room to grow and develop interesting character arcs.

I don't understand why people are calling Scott a "manlet" or a "beta cuck" (which is literally one of the most ridiculous phrases I've ever heard), when he's 6'1 and likely has a much more muscular build than 90% of the users of these forums. Even if he was like 5'8, he still has a muscular build. Get out of here with the fragile conceptions of masculinity, you aren't less masculine just because you're 5'8, and being 5'10 doesn't make you more "alpha" (lol) than someone who's 5'8. Being 5'10 is being a king of the manlets

I mean I kind of have a thing for taller thicker women but I know a lot of guys who prefer really small women. I've also been on a date with a girl who was probably around 5'3" or so and said she wouldn't want to date a guy over 6 feet because they would tower over her. So yeah......

Haha, I don't see it as rude at all, more of a compliment. I've been told I have too much faith in people before, I try to see the good. I feel like people that use that terminology (typically men) are insecure in their own masculinity or social standing and try to recognise the existence of a primitive power structure (as opposed to current power structures) in the hopes that their recognition of it will place them in a higher social standing, thus validating them. Basically, they aren't happy with themselves so they ignore current social convention and try to validate an old system because they would be better off in that old system. That's why we're still talking about it.
