Aww, stop hating on my spider buddies, people!
As I posted in the something random about you thread: I get a queasy feeling whenever I drive a car across a bridge, especially the huge autobahn ones that span entire valleys. I had a recurring nightmare as a kid in which I died by driving a car off a cliff (well, technically I always woke before impact), and to this day I get really, really tense whenever there's a bridge to cross.

Something like this can be your best ally: Don't know if it works on Australian spiders too! I have a fear of heights, but I still climb tall things all the time. As long as you don't look down and assume the gravity doesn't exist you can go up/down ladders!

Arachnophobia, claustrophobia... I have a fear of heights and a fear of basically every bug ever... im afraid of terminal diseases... im afraid of being too exposed in public and uh basically im scared of people as a whole but strangers especially... im also afraid of ghosts (which is ironic because I am one)... im afraid of getting drunk in public... im afraid of drunk people... im afraid of being made to take drugs against my will and drug addicts/people who are on drugs... im scared of making people angry at me... im afraid of people getting hurt... im scared of guns and knives and weapons generally... im scared of being out at night and of total darkness... im afraid of dogs especially the big ones... im afraid of extremism in lots of forms... im afraid of the people I love dying... im petrified of being alone (which is ironic because I live alone but there we go)... im afraid of dying (also ironic)... im afraid of being struck by lightening and like... when youre at a restaurant and youre ordering food??? Scared of that... also paying at a restaurant/asking for something at a restaurant and also people asking if my meal is ok... im afraid of big decisions... and of being in command or in control of people... im scared of being raped and of being tortured... im afraid of drowning... im afraid of dying in my sleep and im actually scared of hot things like in my kitchen (although hot women are an exception ) im also afraid of fire mostly... ... and of losing my sight of hearing or taste or touch or smell or any of my senses haha im totally afraid of losing those... ... ill be back

I suppose I could mention one of my fears. I am afraid of... Love. The tiniest of drops cause me to somewhat lock-up. I can stay loyal in a relationship, I can do my best to make a girl feel happy, but that four letter word... Were I in a fling with someone, and they told me they loved me, I would say thank you and tell them that part of me wishes I could say it back.

The Ocean. I was about six years old and sitting on dry sand with my mother when a massive wave came out of nowhere and sucked me under. My mother started running after me screaming like a banshee and I would've died if it wasn't for her. Honestly I don't remember all that much, just the sand up my nose, in my eyes and feeling like I was hit by a ton of bricks. Even after I learned to swim I still hated the ocean and wouldn't go near it for a long time. However over the years I began to admire it's beauty, especially the northern California coastline. I can even get close enough to take pictures now .....Well at least I don't cry when I look at it anymore lol I'm not really afraid of much else because I tend to find all the things people hate really cute; spiders, snakes, rodents and all that jazz. Nope the only animal I'm truly afraid of is man and maybe our ability to end life on the planet as we know it. I don't want to end up in a fallout situation no matter how much I like ghouls. *shivers*

Heights, especially unsecured. Though there is a point where the height don't really matter anymore.

I can't think of a phobia. I passed out a few years ago after having blood drawn. I'm not afraid to have it drawn so I think it was a combination of not being allowed to eat and it being late in the day. Took a pretty good knock to the head and wound up in the emergency room with a concussion. I'm always a bit nervous that it will happen again.

Flying (though it's more a case of fear of turbulence)
As I mentioned in another thread, locusts and grasshoppers. Their faces and the way they jump does it for me. *shudders*
I hate standing at the edge of unsecure balconies and ledges.

I'm not sure if I have a phobia. I'm not a fan of falling from great heights though. Games like Assassin's Creed really fuck me up. I get all numb in my feet. Never had a problem with those games.....it's Mirror's Edge that made me crazy......

i once had a spider in my shower; didnt wanna kill the small guy we had showers together for like 2 months then he grew big letf one day .... I had a giant wolf spider crawl up my pant leg and bite me on the knee. Shook the fucker out, caught him with a sweeper and placed him in a bowl until I could ID him. Called poison control and the lady on the phone was cracking up about my wild-eyed spider catching story. She calmed me down and let me know what to expect from the bite. Not much, BTW, just a bit of soreness. After side-eyeing him for a few hours and being pissed that he bit me, I decided to let him go. He's just a spider doing what spiders do, after all. Can't hold a grudge. Not the actual pants invading perpetrator but close enough:

Jellyfish, wasps, bees, basically anything that'll try and hurt you. I would say the sea, but that's more of a severe disliking. Also heights, used to be flying but 3 years in the air cadets cured that. And finally, cows. Bloody scary.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. Is there a reason for that? No there is no reason for that i just love my eyes and my eyesight i think i would kill myself if i would loose my eyesight. in 2013, i went to this laser operation that allowed me to live a life without wearing glasses or contact lenses. Wearing glasses didnt bother me too much but i am pretty careless concerning those things (glasses), so i went for teh operation. Its not painful but its annoying as hell, it doesnt last long 2, i think it was something around 5 minutes for both eyes. The thing is i spent next 3 days in almost total darkness, i choose to do so. Its wasnt a pleasant experience...
