Is it just me, or does anyone else suck this bad? So far I extracted on about 50% of the Bronze games. WTF. I suck.

It's because microtransactions. And reload cancel. OH ANd heavy melee.
Also because remember like five years ago when the same thing happened on ME3 for probably the first ten hours? I bet you 100 andromeda points that you will git gud.

I am having a real struggle, yes all new and an older gamer but good lord on bronze.....way more enemies than ME3, IMHO...maybe when some better weapons drop and I get the kits leveled up it will be better, in 6 games, one wipe on level 4, one extraction, three disconnects and one we lost on objectives because I nor the team could get to it, just too many flying things, forget what they are called. Enemies are desperate hard to take down, working on the soldier and Engineer, the turret to me is very confusing as it does not always launch when I press the two buttons together.

Nah it's just not being used to having such sucky weapons and no gear. I've been playing all day, even a bit on silver and discounting a black widow I which I'm not using as i'm a level 14 Adept, my best gun is still a Katana III. I wouldn't be seen dead with that in a ME3 lobby.
It seems artificially hard at the moment but it's all relative and it wont be long until your gear and weapons catch up with you you'll wonder what ever you found so difficult. Silver didn't really feel that much harder except for the add'l damage-sponge-y-ness which makes Kett and Remnant really challenging with noob gear as you get over-welmed very fast. Remnant on silver atm feels almost as hard as Plat Geth with a decent loadout to me.

I can't really say anything about the enemy types, because I promised myself I would 't play the SP campaign untill the full game comes out. But here's the BUT. The Remnant...WTF? These fucking robots just won't let you live! Doesn't matter where I go, I'll run into their beams. I don't even want to imagine those mothers on Platinum or let alone Gold!

Base enemies on Bronze definitely feel tougher than ME3 was. Plus, combined with having no kits, weapons, consumables or stuff in general again and you are in pain until you start leveling up.
You get the hang of it pretty quick, though.

If I had to guess, I'd say that all those prestige mechanics are already factored into the available difficulties. ME3MP didn't have anything like that, so a fresh manifest is an even bigger disadvantage today than it was back then.

ME3MP had only 8 enemies active at one time, because the old consoles were shit. Anyone who has played husk mode on PC will be comfortable with more enemies at once. That is, of course, if our guns didn't hit like wet noodles.
Getting better weapons and weapon mods (especially penetration) will make a world of difference.

I played one match on bronze with randoms last night (before my trial ran out), and we wiped on the 5th wave. The host left (rage quit I assume) and then we played wave 5 with a new 4th player....and we all wiped again! It was Kett and dang, those cloaking dogs are relentless and FAST. The jump rockets don't seem to help either, as the map was teeny weeny and there really wasn't anywhere to run where there weren't enemies. Definitely more enemies spawn on bronze than ever did in ME3 MP. I hope I end up liking it, but right now I just want to go play ME3 MP and feel like a god again with awesome weapons and gear.

Everybody is new to the game. Meaning new players who never played Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. And everyone just has basic gear, grade one common weapons and practically zero equipment. :rage: Within the first several weeks/month as people flesh out their manifests and learn the maps, the PUGs will naturally improve. For the most part. :rage:

I'd always say it plays into that the weapons compared to those in the ME3 MP just feel really weak in the MP

You get the hang of it pretty quick, though. I haven't gotten a chance to play MEAMP yet, but from what I've heard the characters in MEA can't set off their own combos as much as they could in ME3. So now you pretty much have to play until you gear up instead of going for a power build and still being able to hold your own in spite of lackluster gear like you could as a new player in ME3MP.

I found it a lot more challenging but I think it will get better once the game is out. Most of my pugs were using the avenger but when I was grouped with others who were 10+ and had other weapons unlocked, I had the Talon which could one and two shot most things, it went smoothly,
If you are just starting out I suggest doing Outlaws. they are by far the easiest.
The Remnant aren't too bad. The Nullifier's attack cannot be blocked or hidden from but they are easy to take out if you flank them. The giant walking turrets have a mega shield that requires a rapid fire weapon and tech abilities to take down. My talon and biotics did nothing against it.
The Khett have the most annoying/difficult enemy in the Floating energy ball guy. You can only damage him after you shoot off a sphere that rotates around him. Once that is down you only have a short window to damage him before he puts his energy encasement back up and you have to shoot off the sphere again. He shoots giant energy balls that travel across the map and can only be dodge, no hiding. He will sync kill you if you are too close. Any time exaction failed it was because of him.

The problem are the players. Bronze match is roughly ~10k credits. That premium pack or whatever that guarantees 2 rares is 100k. You have people that sit on their earnings for 10 matches just to get 2 golds. Which in theory should not be a problem,.....except when 3 out of 4 people are doing it.
And as the poster above mentioned. You can't rely on powers because a lot of the kits are lackluster, and powers seem to recharge way slower than ME3.
So you end up with lobbies destined for failure, but after sending out 2 strike teams, and have them both fail and become traumatized by their enemy, fail is just part of ME:A

People are complaining about the lack of guns and all, and for sure the struggle is real. But aren't there kits that can get by with powers only and don't rely much on guns? I am not playing this trial because reasons, but I had imagined that kits that have powers such as Overload, Energy Drain, Flamer, Incinerate and self-detonating Biotics could make do without guns. Obviously starting off as level 1 doesn't help, but once you get to level 16-20... Doesnt it get much better?

Obviously starting off as level 1 doesn't help, but once you get to level 16-20... Doesnt it get much better? It felt better once I got singularity and shockwave up to at least level 3/4 each, I also got Charger 3, and it seems to do ok. It took me 3 matches to figure out good keybindings, and learning to use the biotic dodge helped tremendously. I've only see 3 maps, so that's another obstacle, learning where everything is, learning where to back off for good cover, learning where the ammo crates are. I do love being able to get on top of things and jump off ledges to go recharge shields. I'm going to stick with with one kit for now, just to get used to it, then branch out once I'm more comfortable. So far I've had only 4 bronze matches, #1 the game crashed, #2 failed on wave 6, #3 full extraction with the team from #2, #4 full extraction with a different team. I think it will definitely feel better at higher levels with more experience, right now it does feel kind of surprisingly tough, but... it's entirely new.

From what I played, you need weapons for sure. Powers on bronze do damage, but you have to use your guns especially when you have so many things all around you. I was dealing with this games version of a mech of some kind and had dogs swarming me as I was trying to find some place on the map to retreat to. Not being familiar with the maps at all, not knowing where ammo crates where, trying to deal with the jet packs which I finally decided to only use if absolutely necessary, and have no consumables because I blew them all in my last bronze, it was kind of crazy. It was fun because I had to really think a lot more strategically at points.
I was a sentinel and we had those download/upload missions (I forget what they are called) which now move from location to location and have the worst spots imaginable to do them. I was dropping my blockade (I think that was the name of it) just to give us any kind of cover because any cover we had was exposed from the rear and there is always something at your six in here. I was beating up those damn dogs with my omniblade. You have to actually hold a key down to get them off you, while you are getting shot up on all sides.
Those dogs, they are a pain. And I think every faction has some version of a dog, even if it's some crazy remnant that tracks you through walls. Also, boss attacks feel worse than they did in ME3. Those ascendant attacks, did they go through walls? I know I was hit by one wave in cover. Knocked me right out of cover.

The most annoying thing I have been getting is the "Console" which opens up when you accidentally hit the ~ (tilde) key. Especially when Tab is for weapon selection and the 1 key is for your power. I tried to get rid of the keybinding and couldn't find it to change! Will likely end up pulling the key out of my keyboard if I can't turn it off, because it screws up everything especially when in a firefight. You go to use a power, and nothign happens and you see "111111111111" in the console in the upper left corner!
Power cooldowns are very long. Making this a real grind. I was running with just the crappy pistol, and singularity took like 20 seconds to cooldown. I hope this improves with levels.

My first pack before I even started up the game (The ME3 reward pack) gave me Krogan Mercenary and Widow sniper rifle, so my start wasn't as bad as some others.
Krogan merc wrecks everything haha.
But this gamese MP is also way harder because there's nowhere to hide due to the map design/layout. You are literally being shot at from all angles at all times. I preferred the "Defend your position" style gameplay of ME3MP, i'm not big on run and gun call of duty gameplay.

Bronze definitely feels though compared to me3mp.I'm starting to get the hang of it and have saved a couple of games with my godly avenger 7 but I'm still far away from the pug silver games... my god the lobbies I've seen today. Cant even bother when you know its going to be wave 1 wipe.

After the one tutorial, I did pretty well in pug matches. The only problem I had was the terrible lag, that's when my teammates and I kept dying. It's was so annoying. I think it just takes a little time to get use to. Now silver..... I only had a level 7 character, so that was my mistake. I did well the second time though. I do think multiplayer (all levels) are going to be more difficult than ME3. I've only played bronze and silver so far.

Nice. I can now look forward to dying on wave 1 on Bronze just like my first time playing ME3MP.
