Ive watched most of the ea access gameplay and the game looks good. Its not perfect but what is? Yet still people seem to irationally crap on it. Is it just overly high expectations? Nestalgia for the old games?

I wouldn't worry about it. All the hullabaloo of varying degrees of naysayness isn't really giving me much pause (though I did preorder so like, Bio wins anyway lol). I have a feeling I'm going to lose countless hours and find plenty more reasons to love the game than hate it. I'm not liking what I see of the CC, but I'm trying to reserve judgment until I actually get to use the controls myself.

No, people are being overly dramatic. IF you dislike something say so and move on. That being said every criticism is valid, when it's not based on misinformation. Also all caps are a general no-no here, were a friendly fan forum not buzzfeed

Having played early access (how did my ten hours get used up already? )I think there are valid concerns and criticisms, but also some things that are being overblown.

I'd say people are being about as overly forgiving as the people being overly critical, probably in response to each other.
Also, it depends what you're into. I'm more of a gameplay person than an exploration player, and to say I'm less than enthused with the gameplay would be understating it. I'm big into the MP, and I'm really not sure I'm a fan of a lot of the changes, as they feel like artificial difficulty or change for the sake of making change.
A friend of mine just wants big places to drive around and lore and general SPACE stuff, and he seems to dig it.
We both hate the CC. We both find the animations and eyes disturbing or immersion breaking. We both think the eyes (for about 12 reasons) are really wrong. We both agreed on a few face palm moments of story/dialogue we encountered.

No, people are being overly dramatic. IF you dislike something say so and move on. That being said every criticism is valid, when it's not based on misinformation. Also all caps are a general no-no here, were a friendly fan forum not buzzfeed This honestly reminds me of The Dark Knight Rises in a way. I won't comment on ME:A's quality as a whole because I don't have the ability to play it now, but The Dark Knight Rises was in a similar place as Andromeda. It was the follow up to one of the greatest superhero films ever made (The Dark Knight) while Andromeda is the follow up to one of the greatest gaming trilogies of all time. In terms of over all critical and audience reception, that is. However, Rises of course was unable to meet the quality of The Dark Knight, but it is still a good film at the end of the day (again, judging by Critical and general audience reception). When it came to the internet forums, however, Rises' issues were treated like they were exponentially worse than they really were, including issues that were present in the previous movies. Did the movie have issues? Sure, but it is not the disaster that the internet made it out to be. Whether Andromeda is Mass Effect's X-Men Origins Wolverine or Mass Effect's Creed remains to be seen (well, for the most part, since only a small percentage of the game is accessible in the preview), but the internet's reactions to issues that are there seem to be treated like they are larger than they are [not talking about writing or gameplay issues here, I'm talking about more cosmetic things like the stiff animations and those faces]). The issues are real issues, but they are not nearly the game breaking issues the internet is making them out to be. So, long story short, I agree that it isn't that people are overly critical to the game, they are just being over dramatic to the issues.

Inquisition had the same reception on Early Access, tbh. Just take it with a grain of salt. I remember when they first showed us skyhold on stream and everyone was freaking out about the drum music constantly playing. It turned out it was a bug and the way the dev said that made it sound like he was dealing with a bunch of annoying little shits children. And some people wonder why the old forums were shutdown .

Like me saying that the game is bad in some parts equals me offending their mothers, grandmothers, and future children too, real or adopted.

I adore damn near everything I've seen so far, crappy CC & animations aside. But there is one big wrinkle that BioWare needs to overcome still...
... currently announcing your hatred of BioWare/EA (but who doesn't hate EA) on Reddit (don't forget to mention that your cancelling your pre-order) will garner you hundreds of likes. Defending ME:A will result in dozens of downvotes. The gaming part of the internet is bursting with gifs of animation screw ups, and evidently every website has published a pre-view review stating how much they hate the first few hours of ME:A, though don't forget that there are plenty of glowing reviews too. So currently the game is sitting in a very precarious place.
Monday the review embargo lifts, and major video gaming websites will list their real reviews. Habitat-7 & Eos sound like DA:I's Breach & Hinterlands respectively. So as long as the game picks up (BioWare does claim it does but it's not like they have a vested interest in the games success or anything), and succeeds in impressing critics enough to score 8.0/10.0 or higher (so about on track for most BioWare games) then I'd say we're sitting pretty.
Shinobi (biased but pretty accurate) claims that mock reviews (ex-reviewers hired to play and judge the game so that the company knows what to expect) for ME:A has been ranging from "good to great".
So right now I am still quite confident the game will still be a financial and very likely critical success. I am not in doubt that I will love it. But...
... if the mock-reviews (or Shinobi) prove to be inaccurate, and the game fails to garner the critical acclaim it needs to win people over, well... Ripperoni's: Mass Effect (2007 - 2017).
So let's just say that I will be either mourning... or REJOICING come Monday.

We need to see contrary opinions it helps us grow as a society and not be a little baby because someone doesn't like the same thing as you.

Ive watched most of the ea access gameplay and the game looks good. Its not perfect but what is? Yet still people seem to irationally crap on it. Is it just overly high expectations? Nestalgia for the old games? Mechanics are nice it's just the writing is terribly sloppy, bad and extremely CONTRIVED. Plus you get less dialogue options in this game apart from stupid info dumps.
