Put 5 credits on 85, if for no reason than that is where Dragon Age: Inquisition is currently at. I think it is probably going to end up having a similar reception. Some people will love it, some will hate it, with the overall consensus being that it's a good (but not great) game with some fairly big flaws. If we are looking at the highest score then Inquisition(PS4) is 89 on metacritic. I think the problem with this game is gonna be that its gonna be rated lower than Inquisition just because all the shit storm but its still gonna be a better game than Inquisition. No, Inquisition actually had a good story and writing, great companions, better animations, better CC. It actually stood out back in 2014.

77-83 probably, likely even lower if its bombed by haters, despite the final outcome. I doubt any prof reviewer will give the game a score that starts with a 9. 8 is a possibility. The main problems are that the game lacks polish, theres animation issues, facial graphics on humans should be better, bugs(but many games have those). Then theres also the issue that aside from adding new things to the game, it still feels kinda generic, especially when some innovative titles have just come about like Zelda, Horizon etc. Its in a bad company releasing so near to these titles. Also Witcher 3 seems to have really spoiled some gamers, so the bar was set, imo perhaps too high, i mean you cant expect every game to be master quality like that game apparently is(its not like witcher 3 quality, so the whole game sucks - type of thinking), ive not played that game, i dont know what its about, it just doesnt intrest me(in kinda worn out on medieval fantasy for now). But apparently everyone seems to harp on and on about what a god of a game it is, tbh its getting kinda annoying constanlty hearing about it. So i think the game would have been better received if A) Witcher 3 would have never come or it would have been justa minor improvement over its predecessor it wouldnt release so close to the competition it has now and most importantly C) if they wouldnt have rushed it out(but its EA) D) if the game development had had a better management and workers., this feels like a b team effort in some areas

More interesting is how this melodrama will affect the sales, plus being released next to Three GOTY contenders isn't helping. Worst case scenario: EA puts Mass Effect on hold ( like SE did with Deus Ex).

Of course I would like to see it do well critically but really hope it does well commercially so the franchise can keep going.

Yeah Witcher 3 is fantastic. Still playing today, but it is an exception. I know it could be a decade until another game matches or surpasses it. If I got hung up on every game being not as good I wouldn't be playing games anymore. In my ideal world every game is as good as Witcher 3, but reality doesn't work that way.

Jim Sterling talks about that in one of his videos. If he gives a game an 8 he gets hate mail for supposedly having trashed the sender's favorite game. I don't like sterling at all, but that is kind of ridiculous. He gave the new Zelda game a 7 out of 10 (and according to some it was his review which lowered the Metacritic score from a 98 to a 97), and he said many times he thought it was a good game, not great game but a good game that he quite enjoyed. In his latest video he claimed that some hardcore Zelda fans have DDoS his site, tried to take over his social media accounts, and sadly I would not be surprised if he's gotten death threats from these whiny entitled shitty little crybabies. So Metacritic can fuck off. It's nothing but a useless fucking average that tells me nothing. I don't need Sterling, Angry Joe, Yahtzee, IGN, Polygon, or anybody else telling to like a video game or any media for that fucking matter, I know what I like and what I don't. The only opinion in end that matters is: MINE. If love ME:A that is my opinion and if I hate it same thing. I don't need some Youtuber or some website telling me what to love and what to hate. Fuck that shit. I love some movies and video games that most people hate and vice versa. I don't need anybody's validation or indictment to tell me the media I love is great and the media that I hate is shit.

Been thinking about this, and here's what I see happening. I think most critics are going to lowball this game. Two reasons. The first is that they're going to compare it to the quality of the Trilogy, and second is that they, as critics, can't ignore the major technical issues it has. So I'm seeing a lot of 7/10s and 8/10s on the horizon for Andromeda.
But I think players as whole, will enjoy the game more than critics did.

EA expecting 5 million sales from DS3 after DS2 only sold 1.2 million copies, was mind blowing. Nevermind the cost to recoup the investment in advertisements.

Telling potential customers "it gets better after several hours" isn't a good selling feature. Like I said in my own review, there is plenty to like about Andromeda, but it has hefty competition nowadays. BioWare really cannot get away with the technical issues they have in the past. Personally, I think a 7.5 is pretty fair.

I'm going with a revamped score sheet after hearing a few reviewers have been dropping hints that it's much better than expected:
PS4 - 85 Critic / 81 User Xbox One - 84 Critic / 77 User PC - 82 Critic / 71 User
The main complaint on the console versions will be the animations and occasional frame drops, the PC version while being the objectively the best one in terms of looks and 60fps, will score the worst due to places like RPS/PC Gamer moaning their tits off about their usual elitist bollox and the UI being distinctly built around controller use (which is a very fair complaint for KB+M users).
My personal pre-review stands at 8.5/10 based on my first 10 hours: but if the story ramps up and matches the sublime combat, we may be looking at a 9/10 or even higher (pending character growth, feels, bangs etc).

Couple of the guys on GAF have mentioned it, plus I know a reviewer (he wants to remain anon though), he's a local guy here downunder, and he has told me that the game ramps up significantly post Eos, in fact he couldn't fathom why EA would want to show off the start of the game, since it's like a glorified tutorial (in relation to the rest of the game, apparently). Either way, I'm hopeful for a good chunk of 9/10's - if there are reviewers like me who can look past jank easily, it could grab some really good scores I reckon.

I'm thinking 80-84, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's 75-79.
More difficult would be predicting the user's metascore. Probably in the 50s. Maybe 40s.

lol I don't know about the final critic score or user score on metacritic but I can sure say how the user score is going to start
0 "Absolutely garbage. This horse shit of a game should never have been made"
0 "This is what happens when you let racist developers make your games"
0 "Rip bioware. The new EAware is trash"
0 "This game look like made in 2005"
Metacritic should really not allow user reviews to be posted atleast some time after game is launched.

The second one made me lol, because you can literally find the comment on any video about the game. Guaranteed it'll be on metacritic. Honestly, metacritic should probably disregard any reviewers who have a history of scoring games a "0". Go find a reviewer who rated a big budget game a "0", then check his history. Odds are it's full of zeroes except for some obscure game which they'll rate a "10". EDIT: I literally just checked a user (evilfrog) who gave Breath of the Wild a "0" score and it's exactly what I said above. Breath of the Wild, Journey, Gone Home...all zeroes. But a 10 for something called Odin Sphere Leifthrasir. I think it's a rehash?
