I picked Sam Hukick
I would be curious if John Paul Jones, former bassist for Led Zeppelin, would do a project involving writing music for a video game

Some modern synthwave artists may possibly do something unique and fresh for the ME series. For example Daniel Deluxe:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BMOsLAz4II4
This album contains several pieces that could fit ambiance and combat tracks for a game like Mass Effect. This is what I would like to see (hear) in Andromeda. But I really think hullick can create something great, at least if bioware let him loose and let him do his own thing; his ME1 work on steroids basically.

Whoever does Blizzard's soundtracks good god...
Although I was listening to Bioware's OSTs... I don't know if they ever got a composer that really gave those games the OST they deserved, frankly.. but yeah the closest thing for me is Blizzard OSTs.

Jack Wall 6 votes? What's going on here? Right? It makes me wonder if people are aware of who is responsible for which tracks. Jack Wall's tracks are some of the series' most iconic, not to mention his non-ME body of work.

I like Jack Wall too, considering we leave the Milky Way between ME2-3 having him back would be appropriate.

Chris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan. Those guys did a phenomenal job with ME2 Arrival, I want to see them get a full game.

I think 'Never change a winning team' If the Dragon Age Team would adhere to this principle and had oblige Inon Zur it would be a more memorable game as it is now. I mean which songs are you remambering from DAI? The two songs I have in mind are 'I am the one' and 'nightingale' and both are from Inon Zur.
Christopher Lennertz: I don't like his music theme from The Sims 3. Compared to the job from Steve Jablonsky Lennertzs songs were boring.
New composer to add: Bioware should add to there composer team Alan Menken and Steve Jablonsky.

If I have to choose just one, I just have to pick Jack Wall, because damn Suicide Mission is one hell of a track.
But ME series has had absolutely amazing talent: Christopher Lennertz's scores in Overlord and LotSB (particularly the combat music) are absolutely incredible - not to mention A Future for the Krogan, which will forever be one of my favourites from the ME3 soundtrack, Sam Hulick has been composing amazing scores throughout the whole trilogy (from Uncharted Worlds and From the Wreckage to I Was Lost Without You and The Fleets Arrive), Jimmy Hinson will have my never-ending love and admiration for composing the perfection that is Normandy Reborn, and Sascha Dikiciyan & Cris Velasco have both been delivering really great music in the DLCs (I really liked the score of Arrival) and in ME3 too, although their pieces are maybe not as memorable IMO.
So... all of the above?

My vote goes to Jack Wall. When I think of Mass Effect, Vigil is the first song that pops in my head. If it were a new composer, I would like either Harry Gregson-Williams,who worked on The Martian, or Joseph Trapanese, who’s worked on soundtracks for Tron: Legacy and Oblivion.

Like others alredy pointed out, a change is actually not necessarily. all exisiting ME composers did a phenomenal job throughout the whole trilogy. but if i could take some "outsider" to compose some stuff, i think marty o'donnell would be an awesome addition.

IMO Inquisition's soundtrack, especially at the second half of the game and the DLC's, was miles ahead of most of DA:O and DA:2 soundtracks. DA:O had the main theme and I Am The One, DA:2 had Rogue Heart and pretty much thats it. DA:I had the main theme, Orlais theme, the desert theme, Arrival to Skyhold, the track at Adamant siege, Wicket Eyes Wicked Hearts, Lost Temple, Doom Upon the World, the battle theme from Descent, the track that plays when you face Saarath and Lost Elf.

I don't really think any of the ME composers captured the epicness of ME successfully, to be honest.
I'll only repeat myself though for the sake of things, which is to say I think Blizzard's people are the closest... though I'd still want more, to be honest.

Fuck Clint Mansell. They brought him on ME3 because they saw Moon and wanted ME3 to be more like yet another movie instead of being like Mass Effect. They got a boner from his haunting, atmospheric piano music. I can admit it worked in the ending cutscene of ME3 where it is supposed to be dark and heavy in tone, but during the intro it made me groan instantly. I want Jack Wall and Hulick, probably some of the other composers or a new composer who carries the same amount of synthesized harmonies as Hulick but instead of going for a sort of 80s electric rock vibe of ME1 they go with the theme of Andromeda being hundreds of years in the future and make a soundtrack with more modern electronic instrumentation. They already hinted a little bit of this kind of sound in the trailer from last year when the Vigil theme goes from its soft, thick sound to more distorted and fuzzy almost like dubstep noises. But for the love of god, don't go for dubstep instrumentation in general lol. Also, kind of fuck Christopher Lennerz. He made all the most generic "movie" scores in the games that sound too much like your average "YAAAWN" Hanz Zimmer fare, and Hanz Zimmer is in fucking everything, so please let us have some variety. I wouldn't object to them hiring a band to compose for the game or something or to call in Faunts to make exclusive music for the game if they could persuade them to. I actually liked having pop culture tunes that stand in contrast to the sci-finess like in their trailer last year. I did wish there was a stronger resonance than the music they chose which didn't really connect with me. I like Johnny Cash, but for Mass Effect and those lyrics it just felt kind of half-hearted to me. I like the cut of your jib and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. Filmtracks.com reader by any chance?

In general Jack Wall. If Mick Gordon did just one tiny little tune, I would die of happiness. He did Wolfenstein TNO and Doom soundtracks and it totally doesn't fit ME, but I don't care, 1 track would be good. For example Der Mond(The Moon) theme:

If we're going with a new composer, Romolo Di Prisco:
He's done about 75% of the tracks from the first 4 Need For Speed games and some of the ps2 ones as well.
His non videogame music:
I'll keep it limited to 2 vids so as not to overdo the load times. There's links to his other tracks on youtube.
Having said that, I would love to have Jack Wall back. I miss his more pseudo-futuristic music.

Voted Clint Mansell. Sue me. The three tracks he did for ME3 were my favorite pieces. I love haunting piano.
However, my dream composer would be giving Michael Giacchino a shot. For any unfamiliar, in the video game world, he was the composer for the first three Medal of Honor games (maybe more after that, but I only played Medal of Honor, Medal of Honor: Underground, and Medal of Honor: Frontline). And these days, he's been the composer for the new rebooted Star Trek movies. He can do haunting and space opera and battlefront feels.

If Jack Wall comes back, I wonder if he'd repeat some of the motifs. One thing I liked is the running theme from the ME1 Normandy intro that shows up everywhere. Like the Spectre song or Suicide mission.
Some character tracks sounded like older ones too, but I don't know if it's coincidence. Like Jack's reminds a little of the Eden Prime battles or Miranda reminds me of Noveria (edit: Or specifically Criminal Elements).
As much as I like ME3 in it's own right, it's totally disconnected.
