a F%$#ing Windows Update the day before had changed all the administrator settings and security settings for the game, game folders, shortcuts and also for Frosty Mod Manager. Reason #54320906 that Windows 10 isn't on my computer. Actually I really like Windows 10, its been the best operating system I have used and this is probably only the 2nd time it has stuffed something up since it was released. That being said it was very annoying yesterday to sit down to play and for it not to work!!!!!

Beat the Architect on Voeld with Cobra RPGs for fits and giggles. Had to wait for Remnant to spawn more a few times to beat a Heskaarl record and finally finished a few tasks on Voeld that randomly spawn in different locations. EDIT: Had just came across one of the bugs in luring a Fiend to the Krogan fight pits. Instead of sitting down, it now follows Ryder everywhere like a giant gorilla puppy. Tried to run from it with the Nomad and it's following everywhere on Elaaden. Ha, haven't had that bug but wish I had. I did get an Adhi to chase me across the whole map (south to North) in the Nomad on Kadara once!!! I did discover that the Remnant VI bot you can summon will follow you onto the Tempest if you do a few things. 1. Summon it outside of the slums before hopping the fence. 2. Head to Kadara air port 3. Head to the Tempest From there, I'd see Poc's clone roaming outside in space and through the window, the wall as it follows Ryder. ...it got creepy after a while.

So got in about an hour of MEA today but stopped after having a weird glitch. Tried to change my squad at a forward station on Kadara but in the squad choice screen it wouldn't render the picture for the current squad members. Chose one to replace and then one to join the squad but when I exited the forward station only had the squad member I didn't replace. Tried going to aa different Forward Station but same issue except this time I couldn't get out of the Loadout screens at all and to shut the game down with the Task Manager. Anyway, solved the Angaran water filter murders, confirmed it was Roekaar murdering people for Reyes, found some edible plants, scanned a rock, killed outlaws, found some antibiotics for the sick guy in the refuge and started a Monolith.

At the time, it wasn't intentional as I had no idea what the mother looked like. It just seemed like the right fit for her personality. Casual, but neat. Short enough for maintenance and avoiding helmet crowding with a bun or ponytail, but long enough to tie back if she really needed it. ...I put a looooot of thought into each Ryder I made. The Engineer Ryder is a hilarious maniac who keeps asking SAM why he can't help her pilot more drones.

I am currently on my 12th Sara and have done 4 Scott's. I have no idea why but I always have trouble with creating male Scott's. I haven't played Engineer, have to have a look at that profile again but yeah I have one of those Ryders as well, a bit crazy, kinda sweet and lots of fun!!!

Anyway, solved the Angaran water filter murders, confirmed it was Roekaar murdering people for Reyes, found some edible plants, scanned a rock, killed outlaws, found some antibiotics for the sick guy in the refuge and started a Monolith. So you got Frosty working again? Great! After finding the Turian ark and convincing Avitus Rix to take over as pathfinder, the dice decided that it was time to go to meridian. So Ryder again went to Khi Tasira to activate some remnant scouts and find Meridian. As it turns out, this was all part of the Archon's plan. After the location of Meridian was found, he somehow captured Ark Hyperion and brought it there together with a large kett fleet. Not sure what he wanted the complete ark for, as he only needed Sarah for her Sam implant. Ryder was incapacitated from the loss of connection to sam. So during the fighting on the Ark, Sarah had to get to an auxiliary control room and send a reboot command through sam's QEC connection, or Scott would die. She fought admirably against several Kett troopers, armed only with a Phalanx. But in the end she was captured. However she enabled Scott's survival, and he managed to control the remnant fleet even without sam's help. So the tempest and a large remnant fleet followed the Archon to meridian. En rounte the squadmates all called in their favours. So when the Tempest actually flew inside the structure, a sizeable force was directly behind. A fight across the sky, ground, and underground went on. The other pathfinders were mostly kicking Kett fighters out of the hollow world's sky. Vidal helped with securing the entrance to the underground complex, Drack's scouts were a great at defeating kett troopers further in the facility. Along the way, the team had to take a few gravity-wells (still a stupid name). Quote during one of those that made me chuckle:
Further inward Sarah actually managed to take control over some remnant, and also the doors, leading Scott and team along the fastest way. At the main area, the Archon was just about to plug himself into the remnant machinery. Still using Sarah's implant he managed to activate countless remnant bots. Luckily Sarah was able to provide directions to shut down the power source for the Archon and the Architect. After way too much fighting, hopping around, Liam and Jaal continued to take naps on one of the pillars that lead to the last control point. Ryder revived them, again and again. But for some reason they did not go to the other side. At least not for long, instead they always returned to the same stupid pillar to die on Short before the end, Jaal seemed to have had enough reviving, so he threw himself down into the bottomless pit, and landed, dead, and stuck somwhere between his favourite death-pillar and a wall. Anyways, the Archon was internally fried in the end, the kett in and around meridian defeated, and Sarah is also good again. The crashed ark is now Port Meridian, and just to piss of Tann, Ryder decided that Morda should be ambassador to the Nexus. His first choice was actually Bradley, but someone moaned that he was so small scale. For all its pacing problem in the latter half, with seemingly endless waves of remnant bots that have to be destroyed, Meridian is probably my second favourite mission, behind the suicide mission in Mass Effect games. The visuals are great, there is a pay-off and directly noticeable difference for all of the pathfinders and story decisions made. It got great short, medium and long range firing arcs during different stages of the fight. It's just damn cool driving the Nomad around ground with the fight overhead, the ark steering off, barrages from the Kett cruiser closing in and so much action everywhere. And the sky is the ground! I admit, I'm a sucker for inverted gravity. I even had that as beneficial side effect to ftl drives in a sci-fi universe/short story I bastardized together some 10 years or so ago. The implications for how stuff works are just so cool!Though I must say, fighting these two kett couples with Sarah was damn hard! I dies probably 10 times during the first two, as the stupid Phalanx 1 does almost nothing against level 70 troopers. And less than that if they have shields. THAT'S probably the hardest fight in the game!
Also: Cpt. Dunn survived, but was nowhere to be found at the victory party afterwards?! I thought she was usually there... Now I only have some stuff on Kadara, and Eos, Pebees loyalty mission, and the movie-night before this playthrough is over.

Also Evra's comments about Ryder helping seem a bit out of place then, imo.
Though, wisest would probably to make that dependent of how many backup life supports you have

I did, uninstalling it an reinstalling it did the trick and I had saved the "Mods" folder so then just had to copy it back rather than reinstall all the mods. Yeah I really like both Khi Tisara and the Meridian battles, The Archon's ship is also a favourite and I like the challenge of The Kett Base on Eos and Voeld. Captain Dunn is never at the after party. That is one of the most disappointing parts of the game for me, saving Captain Dunn and her not being at the after party!!!!! Being a Captain Dunn fan I even created a Ryder that looked like her and imagined she had an affair with Alec!!!!

It was definitely the hardest part for me on my Insanity run. On the plus side, I finally noticed the ammo crate nearby for reloading my 1 bullet and 1 grenade.
Mostly it's just a matter of patience though, staying behind cover when the kett are firing and trying to headshot them when they stop. The level 1 weapon really does suck though.

That's the whole key to Insanity in MEA "PATIENCE". I have never died during that section but I have gotten frustrated numerous times but none more than when I discovered I had a grenade that I had never used because I didn't know I had it.

Mostly it's just a matter of patience though, staying behind cover when the kett are firing and trying to headshot them when they stop. The level 1 weapon really does suck though. The thing is, I still use the Shields for Enemies mod. So patience only resulted in running out of ammo, grenades, and the Kett still having half their HP and full shields. Instead I tried to time it to only attack when the troopers were distracted by the unnamed-npc-guy. Then I jetpacked into the nearest one and overutilized the melee button. The second fight is far easier, with Dunn and several explosive barrels around. Though speaking of unnamed-npc-guy, screaming 'Oh god, I won,t make it' while almost downing one of the troopers and simultaneously not dying from other troopers bullet hail was damn impressive!

I don’t know about that. I’ve found Overwhelming Firepower to be pretty efficient. 😉 KrrKs, that mod sounds pretty solid. I’d likely give it a try if I played on PC.

So MEA defeated me yesterday and I am going to delete this character and start again. Something happened on Kadara to the loadout screen and after going further and further back to older saves yesterday I cannot find one where the loadout screen isn't broken. I cannot play the rest of the game with Cora and Vetra as my squad. Hell I was only taking Vetra because she was my least used squad mate and I thought I'd see if I could get some extra dialogue from her. Anyway, first things first though, AC Odyssey NG+ dropped today so will go and get Alexios started on his Odyssey then come back to a new MEA.

So MEA defeated me yesterday and I am going to delete this character and start again. Something happened on Kadara to the loadout screen and after going further and further back to older saves yesterday I cannot find one where the loadout screen isn't broken. Anyway, first things first though, AC Odyssey NG+ dropped today so will go and get Alexios started on his Odyssey then come back to a new MEA. I have 15 complete PTs, 1 abandoned mid-game, and 4 lost over 50% through to game-breaking bugs. This game will forever be a mess. It’s frustrating, since there were some really good things in MEA.

I may need to figure out how to mod then. That’s pretty sweet. Also add the make peebee look okay mod where the stupid face paint is removed.

This was my 16th so I am on 15 as well. I am not sure what happened, I can't pin it on anything really except that I had a windows update and Origin and MEA's permissions on all its folders and for some reason the in game settings had changed. The security permissions I can understand Windows changing and have had it happen once before but the in game stuff is weird and makes me think it may have been an Origin update. I did have an issue a while ago and strangely it enough it also occurred on Kadara but I was able to go back to a relatively recent save and the game was fine again. Oh well!!! Yeah it is a shame re MEA and reading/watching how long they had on Anthem (6 years) and seeing the state it has released in I am so wishing they'd spent just another year on MEA.

What did I do today?... died, died again, and again... trying to get into the Kett Stronghold on Eos (on Insanity). I'm going to have to give up for now and come back later when I've leveled up a bit more. I"m definitely rusty... serves me right for not playing for awhile; but I'm still wondering how I managed to get by it at these early stages in other playthroughs. Maybe it's the arthritis... yeah, I'll blame that.

What platform? I honestly haven't lost a save file since my very first one... and I blamed a lightning strike for that one, although it may have been a sync'ing issue with the cloud filling up the cloud storage... but I've learned to manage that. The only quest I've been unable to complete in any of my playthroughs is the Running a Fever one. I've had instances of enemies spawning in places where they've been really difficult to kill (and thought I might be hooped), but I've always managed to kill them eventually either with a power or with a weapon geared for penetration.
