I have 15 complete PTs, 1 abandoned mid-game, and 4 lost over 50% through to game-breaking bugs. This game will forever be a mess. It’s frustrating, since there were some really good things in MEA. What platform? I honestly haven't lost a save file since my very first one... and I blamed a lightning strike for that one, although it may have been a sync'ing issue with the cloud filling up the cloud storage... but I've learned to manage that. The only quest I've been unable to complete in any of my playthroughs is the Running a Fever one. I've had instances of enemies spawning in places where they've been really difficult to kill (and thought I might be hooped), but I've always managed to kill them eventually either with a power or with a weapon geared for penetration. PS4Pro. It was the same bug every time. After defeating the Architect on Voeld, its health bar and “Target the Architect’s blah blah...” notification stayed on the screen permanently. I could reload earlier saves, but whatever bugged it was apparently much earlier. I once replayed the entirety of Voeld and still got the bug. Advancing further into the game didn’t lead to any self-corrections, either. While I could technically still play the game, who would do so with that stuff cluttering the screen? The fact that I abandoned four PTs, yet kept playing the game, speaks to how much I enjoyed it, I guess.

Shame that didn't get patched before they pulled support. Maybe leave the Voeld architect quest until after you've done everything else?

I’d have to sideline my obsessive, completionist habits, but I could do that. 4 out of 19 (15 + 4 unfinished) is over a 20% bug-rate. Waiting would be smart.

Watched this video today that was quite an interesting take on Bioware and its demise in quality over the past few years but also noticed in the footage they used of MEA Vegetation I had never seen before. It's gameplay but I don't remember it from any trailers. Two shots one of vegetation I hadn't seen and one I think showing that Kadara didn't have the gateway and fence where you exit to the Forward station from the slums but I maybe wrong on that one.

dazk, I can’t truly watch at the moment, but it looks like footage from the November 2016 gameplay demo video. Some minor things changed, but most is recognizable as being present in the released game.

On Havarl now, working my way through A Dying Planet. Left the Kett Base on Eos after about 15 tries and 15 deaths. Will come back to it when I'm leveled up a bit more.

Blah it’s another clickbait video capatilzing on the perceived failure of Anthem. Though I also agree it’s not always EAs fault. I did the Alpha testing and the VIP Demo for Anthem and decided then I wasn't going to buy it, you could see the issues in terms of repetitiveness of missions, crap loot, lack of variety of enemies and a very empty world. That's not to mention the over hyping of story, etc. And that's not to mention the tech issues and lack of functionality needed in a co-op game in particular comm's wise. It's a shame because you can see the potential and for a game that was in development for 6 years it really is a poor indictment that they haven't delivered a completed game and that is has so many issue. Don't get me wrong I am a huge Bioware fan and wanted Anthem to be a success and to play it, but I have said before in that six years and with the extra resources not making Anthem would have made available can you imagine how good MEA could have been? Also we'd probably be looking at DA4 being finished soon. So from a strategic perspective I think Bioware may have made a bad decision to try and make a game in a different genre. I hope they get the support they need to make Anthem great but EA's track record on games that don't sell well at release is pretty consistent, unfortunately.

Sorry if I come across as abrasive towards Youtubers but I’ve grown rather weary of over the top cynicism to the point where I find a positive video a breath of fresh air.

So today I finally finished the last bits of this completionist Mass Effect playthrough. Yesterdy I already did some small bits at Kadara. Ryder almost found Pebee's last bit of remtech. They had to buy that stuff from a krogan later on. Then they climbed onto some rock with Vetra, and after that arrested Dr. Aden -the salarian traitor. He also got into a barfight with Drack while poc got stolen from the ship. Today the tempest crew finally had their movie night. Ryder also got to play 'Fire breathing Thresher Maws of Doom' with Drack, Kesh, and Vorn. Both are just fun (though the latter would be better one could actually see some of it, and not just hear Drack's description). Ryder then went back to Elaaden, to find Poc. In search for some remnant manufacturing piece, Pebee later ejected the Tempest's escape pod with Ryder and Vetra on it. After hopping around the Volcano they landed on for some time, Kalinda showed up and actually beat them racing into the remnant structure. Ryder and team (mostly Vetra) gunned dozens of Kalinda's minions, and some remnant bots, on their own way into the remnant manufacturing facility. You'd think that some of these outlaws would know better than to attack the pathfinder team, after that already taking out several heavily fortified Kett-facilities on their own. After most of Kalinda's people were defeated, she and Pebee tried to actually grap the piece of remtech located on another platform swimming on the lava. However the platform began to rock and pitch, almost throwing Kalinda into the lava. She managed to hold onto the edge of the platform though. Pebee meanwhile had gotten to the remtech ball-thingy. The rocking swept her off her feet, and she lost it again. The ball thingy began rolling into the lava, while Pebee rushed to saved Kalinda's life. It turned out to be kind kind of lucky for the team that Kalinda showed up, as they barely escaped the erupting volcano in Kalinda's shuttles. This playthrough of the trilogy and andromeada was the one that took the longest time-span to complete. I know I ended the ME1 campaing in end May 2018, so I started it likely in April. That's almost 11 months needed for around 260 hours of gameplay!

MEA alone even on NG+ usually takes me about 80hrs, (first PT took 120hrs) and ME1 probably takes 40hrs, ME2 about 40 to 50hrs and ME3 probably 70hrs. So what's that max out to about 250hrs in total but yeah I usually finish everything including DLC. Yeah so seems about right for me anyway a completionist PT. Never really thought about it in context of all four games before. In terms of actual time I have had the luxury of not working for the last few years so it'd definitely be a much shorter time frame but have never timed it.

It’s always interesting to read/hear how others play. I always do 100% completionist PTs. Maybe it’s a character flaw or a mental condition. 😖
ME1 generally takes me about 27 hours. That includes BDtS. ME2 generally takes about 34 hours, every DLC included. ME3 generally takes about 36 hours, if I recall correctly. Again, all DLC included. MEA generally takes me about 55 hours in NG+. It’s slightly longer for a new game. My first PT was over 100 hours, which now seems insane.
I’ve played these games so many times that I can just fly through the content. (Especially the trilogy.) I never skip dialogue, always talk to my crew, etc... I sure hope we haven’t seen the last of Mass Effect.

Interesting per game hours. Broken down like that - ME:1 (+ BDTS) takes me usually between 27 to 31 hours. Depending on whether and when I do pinnacle station.
- ME:2 (including all DLC but Arrival) usually takes around 40 hours. This time it was 32 or something like that, as I didn't recruit Grunt or Legion
- ME:3 (including all DLC and story mods) nowadays is slightly less than 60 hours. The last savegame timestamp says 50 hours, but I think that's before Chronos - and a way to long tour around the united fleets present pre-earth with the EGM mod. Way too long as in 'Gosh is that cool! What fleet is that over there? Are those <Species/Fleet>? '
- ME:A took around 132 hours the first time, and IIRC around 110 in the second NG+ playthrough. This last new character game lasted 136 hours.

So this is the last couple of days including today. Finished most of Eos, eliminated Kett Outpost, Killed the Architect got most sidequests knocked out. Then went to Havarl, found Turian survivors, saved some scientists, found a reincarnated Angara and saved the planet improving relations with the Angara. Helped some scientists on Havarl with mutations and gave an inspired message to Addison. Did meetups on Tempest and back to Havarl for trying to find Akksul. Next will be back to Podromos to find out about Asari Ark.

Yeah I don't really time it tbh for me each of the trilogy games takes about a week although I have managed to do ME1 in about 3/4 days on a few occasions but 2 and 3 both take me about a week each MEA about double that so about 2 weeks of solid play. MEA takes about the asme length of time as it does for m et ocomplete DAO otr DAI as they take about 2 weeks each to beat as well. DA2 like the ME trilogy takes about 1 week as it takes about 2 days per act. But then I don't have a job or anything so I have more than enough time to get through it.

It’s always interesting to read/hear how others play. I always do 100% completionist PTs. Maybe it’s a character flaw or a mental condition. 😖 ME1 generally takes me about 27 hours. I sure hope we haven’t seen the last of Mass Effect.I certainly hope not as well.

It’s always interesting to read/hear how others play After reading all your comments about how long it takes for you guys to finish each ME game I feel like I have some kind of mental problem because this is how long it takes for me ME1 - 90h ME2 - 120h ME3 - 130h MEA - 200h Each game is completed in 100% with every DLC. I also every time read all codex entries, planet descriptions and even gun and armor info. Propably half of that time I spend on reading However it always entertains me somehow (although MEA planets descriptions aren't that good as in previous ME) I don't know why but while playing Anthem I felt that I want to replay Andromeda all over again hmmmmmmm So I'm starting today...

I have to admit that the title is kinda a clickbait, however whole video is decent (however author did one mistake - he said that Andromeda was made by BioWare Edmonton and original trilogy by BioWare Montreal which is the opposite. Andromeda - Montreal, trilogy - Edmonton Clickbait titles are ok if the content inside is good. You know, fighting with toxic YouTubers with their own weapon For decent information about BioWare I always look for Raycevick. Very good content in my opinion.
