What Did You Do Today in Andromeda

So yesterday Scott activated the vault on EOS which was fun, set-up a scientific outpost and challenged Addison as to what game she was playing. had a quick chat with various folks at the new outpost then headed back to the Nexus.

Did lots o running around, found a space spider that had been causing electrical problems, told a security guy to disappear for sabotaging stuff, learnt about AVP, sent some strike teams on missions, agreed to set up news antennas, saw some of dads memories, SAM got hacked and spoke to the hackers, found some hops for the bar, watched the woman asking for Karaoke contestants, agreed to scan some plants and spoke to Sara via her implant. Told her dad was dead but lied about the golden worlds, have never done that before have always lied about both or told the truth about both.

So after getting all that done Scott jumped back on The Tempest and will next head off to check out the other vault.

Will probably just play some ACOD today so as to keep moving that along and so I don't forget where I am up to and how to play the game.

Sigh. I haven't played Andromeda in 2 days because of others imposing upon my free time. I sound like selfish ass, perhaps, but my free time keeps me sane and in less pain.

The last time that I did get to play I had a good time roving about on Voeld. I decided to approach the map in a different direction, and it helped add some variance to the experience.

We freed Niilj and others from a labor camp. We visited a ruined daar, rescuing some turian smugglers and a wounded angara. We raided kett labs, bunkers and other operations. We explored remnant structures poking up through the ice and snow.

I almost forgot: we found the wreckage of Periphona, a support vessel assigned to Ark Leusinia. Wreckage isn't what we'd hoped to find, but it's something. We hope to mine Periphona's nav data to get an idea of Leusinia's whereabouts, both past certainties and present possibilities.

On the agenda for tomorrow (I hope!) is to infiltrate the kett command center and strike a blow against their operations. We also know of a planned assault and have the intel needed to ground a bunch of their airships. They're doing something with remnant in a secondary vault that needs attention. And of course, the environmental functions of the vault complex need to be activated.

There is a lot of other stuff to do, too. There's too much to list, almost. This planet is harsh, no doubt, but it's covered in readily accessible water. That makes it a relative paradise. This could be the place for our second Initiative Outpost, and our first established in concert with the angara. If Eos was a desperately needed first success, this would be a desperately needed major success. Water is life, and this place could supply us indefinitely.


In terms of mechanics, "detonating all the things" just never gets old. Dashing into those little kett sites, with all of their exploding canisters, is colorful and rewarding. Annihilation is always fun, with enemies and debris swirling about like a deadly cloud. I observed that an enemy killed by the DoT effect of Annihilation does trigger the FMoA cooldown reset. It's a tertiary mode of death-dealing, considering detonations, melee and shooting, but still cool. It's one more way that the runaway explosion of doom that is my Sentinel keeps the good times rolling.

Aargh. Now I want to fire up the game and get to it! Alas, it's just after midnight here in EST, so I'll have to sleep on it.

EDIT: The typos! I need to find a better keyboard for this phone. Any recommendations for a good Android keyboard app? I'm on an S10+.

I played a bit more MEA, today. We assaulted the Kett Command Center; activated the vault; destroyed kett research into weaponizing remnant; and established Taerve Uni (sp?).

I need to catch up with the crew a bit and visit the Nexus before finishing Voeld.

I swapped into my Soldier (Invasion/Tac Cloak/Turbocharge) during the assault on the Command Center. I usually do so whenever an Architect or Ascendant is on tap. It was a fun change of pace.

I'm enjoying my PT still, but I need to make sure I don't get too off track. Unwanted interruptions and other interests (reading RPG books) have been distracting me. I don't want to totally lose focus as I did the last time I played (in this same point in the game, no less).

I crafted an Incisor-FABE/bio (autofire, beam emitter, bioconverter). I don't need it, but I've never tried it before, so I'll equip it before fighting Voeld's Architect.

I think the start of the game and the ending are both really well done and some of the missions in terms of story (e.g. The Kett flag ship and the Voeld base) are really good in terms of being well written, intense and fun to play combat wise.

Where are you up to in the game have you finished and did you find the hidden room on Meridian? Maybe some of us can recommend some quests that are a bit obscure?

It's easy to miss, I missed it at least ten times and it was only through discussions with others about how to get the "Strange Alien Tech" to appear in that galaxy that melbella mentioned the room that I knew about it. If you play DA it has a fun Easter Egg in it beside giving you the Strange Alien tech to scan in the galaxy.

On Elaaden did you get the quest where The Nomad breaks down? That's another one I didn't find for a few PT's and Voeld has some that are easy to miss because you can just not drive in the right place or talk to certain peple because of the complicated maps and or the RNG quests don't pop.

Accidentally deleted my save file of my finished complete Sara playthrough.

Started a Scott from scratch. He doesn't quite look like I want so he'll probably get cosmetic surgery once I hit the ship

The banter with Alex referring to an go getting older Sara pleases me greatly. Loved my Sara.

Hmmm, I may consider that. Right now I'm more focused on the fact that my right joy stick going the opposite of what I think it should, so aiming is some tough crap right now. I've played with settings a few times with nothing specifically saying Toggle stick and just randomly flipped some things and nothing seems to be working. 

when I press the right toggle towards the left, the view goes right and vice versa. At least up and down remain the same but my brain is like urgh, whaaaa

Hey phoray there is definitely a setting under settings/controls that says invert X Axis and I'd guess that is what affects your controller in the way you described but I am no expert. It should be "disabled".

Im not at my computer to check this in the settings at the moment, but I know I flipped both of those x/y axis things. First one, it didn't do anything, then the other. But will give it a shot when I get on again on the evening time of the 13th
