LadyofNemesisRe weapons if you want an OP'd weapon my favourite is The Valkyrie with an auto-fire mod and 2 Kinetic Coils, 3 when you add an extra augmentation slot with your cryo pod points at the AVP terminal. That option is in The Science branch IIRC and requires a couple of pre-requisites and Kadara at 70% I think. Also as mentioned before equip the Asari Sword or Krogan hammer as your melee weapon and you can also add 3 KC's to that which will again up your damage across all your weapons. Re armour Explorer armour isn't worth it i don't think. The Pathfinder Vigilant armour is what I use for my Sentinel and I use Incinerate to prime, Overload and Enrgy Drain to detonate Combo's and having Cora also helps with Combo's EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE!!!!

Re the books, I recommend reading all three in order, they are pretty light reading but give good backstory for some main characters except for book 3.

not sure if I have the Valkyrie AR yet...have to check tomorrow I'm currently just trying a few things out to see what works best for me
At present Soleil has activated Eos' vault and established a Scientific outpost, and had a few new party members join us, Krogan Drack and Asari PeeBee
Addison tried to be "friends" with her, but Sol wasn't buying her buttered words, she may be young but she's not stupid
At any rate, back on the Tempest PeeBee suggested heading over to the next vault to see why it was active, 'course we first have to head back to the Nexus for permission
Also because I remade Soleil I made a few minor tweaks to her appearance, making her skin slightly darker (to better match her brother) and changed her eyes from blue to amber
Tomorrow we'll be heading out to the Nexus, then back out to open space and explore some more (which also means meeting Jaal soon )

Messing around on Eos a bit. After running over 9000 challyrions (never gets old ), I made the planet witness my super parking skills. In regards to melee waepons, I like to use the kett swords (Carfalon & Vakarsh) for melee backup. I regularly get confused up close, so the 360 degree twirl executed by those two finishes most lighter enemies nicely, like stealth dogs (I never tried to melee an Eiroch ). I guess the krogan hammer and the asari "teleport" sword are better off used by dedicated melee/Vanguard Ryders as I'm either too dumb to aim them or they just need far more practice. Did anybody ever looted a Vakarsh? Early this playthrough, I was lucky and got a tier II Carfalon from an Eos kett, as they tend to drop now and then but over the course of one full and about 1/3 of a playthrough, no kett ever dropped a Vakarsh.

I've never seen a Vakarsh drop. I have picked up several Carfalons, Krogan Hammers, and Asari Swords though. Another one that I've never seen drop is the Remnant Cryo Gauntlet that you always get in the Eos vault.
During my recent run through the Elaaden vault, I managed to drop the Nomad into the vault when I died and had to reload. This time though, it didn't land in a spot where I could get to it to get in. The first time, I was able to drive it around the vault a little... before I accidentally drove it off an edge and into the acid goo... and died. When I left the vault, there was no nomad waiting for me so all I could do was fast travel to a forward station.

Yeah I tend t ouse the Asari sword as my go to melee weapon although I have on occasion used a Krogan hammer but I think I prefer the sword based on how I play that tends to work best for me. Especially if I'm playing a biotic.

Can't remember which other one has the extra slot but it may be the Krogan Hammer or Kett Carfalon. Never even heard of the Vakarsh, either that or I have just sold it every time I have got it and not paid it any attention? All other melee weapons including the Cryo Gauntlet I have had drop randomly.

That's mainly because I normally prefer t okeep my enemies at range pump them full of lead or whatever it is that ME guns shoot.

Hm, I don't remember any drop of a special effect melee weapon in my playthroughs Neither the Cryo Gauntlet (outside of the vault), nor the Kett Vakash or the electric Firaan. Though Imo the Cryo Gauntlet is probably the best melee weapon in the game. At least when not focussing on melee. Especially with the upgrades that thing receives from the cryo beam skill tree ( ), it can almost instantly freeze anything getting too close that is not armored. So it takes those dog type enemies completely out of the fight. And then it does set up amazing cryo-sposions that freeze even more stuff around.

You get half the Omni Tool blade damage, but enemy is now frozen. Throw or Energy Drain and voila.. if there was some other enemies around, now they're frozen (some of them) and another combo!

Wait what another Melee weapon I haven't heard of the Firaan??????? Where do you find this thing if it doesn't randomly from or do you get a schematic for it from somewhere? Will have a look through the research station today and also create a Cryo Gauntlet, haven't looked at it closely enough as didn't know about the freezing thing!!!!!! That's why I love having Cora around, everywhere I look she has frozen someone, makes for great Combos!!!!!

well..shit and here I was thinking the Reapers were bad...the Kett are...nightmare fuel, I mean so are the Reapers but the Kett are on a different level
So today started with Soleil heading over to Aya where we met with Jaal and the Angara resistance
then we headed for Harvarl and re-initiating it's vault (I've yet to head back to establish the outpost though) The outpost on Eos has currently 90% viability so that's nice
also did a bunch of side quests, started up a few companion quests and then...it was time to safe to Moshae so Sol and her team headed over to Voeld, where we met with the resistance and helped them infiltrate the Kett facility there
what we found was...well, let's just say I was grossed out during ME2 when that colonist got liquefied...but seeing one of the Angara being turned into a Kett...that was just...ugh thankfully we were able to save the Moshae, Sol decided to save the Angara present, however she did not allow the Kett Cardinal to life the Moshae wasn't to happy with her decision, but Sol believes in helping people...maybe it wasn't the best course of action...but lets just say the Kett will have a lot more to answer for
at any rate, according to the wikia it says I'll be headed for Kadara soon, I can't wait (Reyes )
I still haven't decided yet who I'll have Soleil romance, but Reyes Vidal is a good contestant (I love his voice, which may or may not have to do with the fact it's basically Hawke doing an accent )

By destroying it you instantly deny the Kett their ability to keep producing more Kett plus The Moshae wants you to do it and I trust her judgement. She becomes your biggest fan if you blow it up as well. If you wait a little bit before taking The Moshae back to Aya (do a few more missions on Voeld), she'll move from the med bay to the crew quarters on The Tempest and you can talk to her some more but that may just be if you destroy the Kett facility, not sure.

Imay be tempted during m ynext run considering the build I'm thinking of using to give the crypo gauntle tanother shot as it could work quite well with it. I'll need to try it for myself first though.

what we found was...well, let's just say I was grossed out during ME2 when that colonist got liquefied...but seeing one of the Angara being turned into a Kett...that was just...ugh thankfully we were able to save the Moshae, Sol decided to save the Angara present, however she did not allow the Kett Cardinal to life the Moshae wasn't to happy with her decision, but Sol believes in helping people...maybe it wasn't the best course of action...but lets just say the Kett will have a lot more to answer for
at any rate, according to the wikia it says I'll be headed for Kadara soon, I can't wait (Reyes )
I still haven't decided yet who I'll have Soleil romance, but Reyes Vidal is a good contestant (I love his voice, which may or may not have to do with the fact it's basically Hawke doing an accent ) Yeah the Kett are monstrous they deserve the ass kicking that Ryder and co give them in this game. Have you found and fought any of the Remnant Architects yet?

well..shit and here I was thinking the Reapers were bad...the Kett are...nightmare fuel, I mean so are the Reapers but the Kett are on a different level

I still haven't decided yet who I'll have Soleil romance, but Reyes Vidal is a good contestant (I love his voice, which may or may not have to do with the fact it's basically Hawke doing an accent ) In 16 PT's I have always blown the Kett facility up, it's horrible not saving the Angara (although I do like pissing Jaal off) but I just can't believe leaving that place intact is a good idea. You can talk to the Moshae in the crew quarters even if you save the Angara and don't destroy the facility.

I figure that by shooting her and clearing the platform of the Kett that arrive, I've bought the Angara enough time to free those in pods and then blow up the base before they leave. Failing that, SAM has already decoded their shield once... he can do it again if necessary... and then we'll blow it up for sure.

Yeah I usuall yg owith Jaal' sadvice plus he is tecfhnicall ythe Angaran erpresitive and also technically military wheras I believe the Moshae is mostly a scientist. It largely depends on what kind of Ryder I'm roleplaying but most follow Jaal's advice rather than the Moshae's

I'm greedy - I want to blow the facility and kill the cardinal myself (Ryder can shoot her only on the save the angara option).

It IS amazing. You get half the Omni Tool blade damage, but enemy is now frozen. Throw or Energy Drain and voila.. if there was some other enemies around, now they're frozen (some of them) and another combo! Yeah I've used the Cryo now and then but never found it tha teffective but it is kind of fun getting a stab freeze going whenever I have used i tbut I don' t tend to use it often. Imay be tempted during m ynext run considering the build I'm thinking of using to give the crypo gauntle tanother shot as it could work quite well with it. I'll need to try it for myself first though. Its very good in tight quarters and the odd "space dog" which gets to your skin. Just hit it with Remnant Fist(tm) and they're popsicles, easy to dispatch

Unicephalon 40-D what augmentations do you put on yours, pretty sure I saw you carrying one in some pics? I just whacked an Auto-fire, Bio-Converter and 3 KC's on it.

KC's, Bio-Converter and something that suits. I usually use it only for stripping shields in SP and because the balance is different its a monster in MP.
