My point was that common weapons are garbage and low lvl rares and URs are way better.

Absolutely.  I think that is the problem.  A good portion of these weapons will be unusable on high difficulties.  Well unless you are a masochist.

Yeah on gold with my Katana I'd probably be better off meleeing  everything.

i played silver within the first hour. this game is incredibly easy. or the infiltrator is overpowered.

I retract that comment. Silver is indeed hard, and what's worse - unpredictably so. Example: playing lvl 10 or 12 Human Adept, matched with two other power-based kits (a biotic and a sentinel, I think). First 5 waves we literally wipe all the Remnants away with explosions of various kinds; wave 6 - devices - we wipe ourselves despite using all the Hydra missiles and omni-gels. And it's not a single occasion, wave 6 silver wipes happen to me a lot.

So yeah, get that manifest up. I don't have a single decent weapon yet so I can't kill enemies with guns fast (except for Charger, but it's no good fit for weapon-centric classes). And most power-based kits must rely on others for combos so it doesn't always work.

P. S. What I don't like at the moment is this big gap between Bronze and Silver, when Bronze is literally a breeze with lvl 10 characters and I don't feel being challenged so I don't improve my skill, while on Silver I only extract half of the time. Maybe I should try these Outlaws everyone says are easier. Somehow I almost never get them, it's Remnants all day long with occasional Kett.

the secret to the charger is getting up in the enemies faces and hit that weak spot. Doing anything else results in very poor dps.

Used the Viper once, never again. Instead I use my Widow I or Isharay I. EZ kills.

Congrats on your unlocks. Not everyone is that lucky though. I´m stuck with my charger and y´know what, I luv that lil peashooter. But then again, I also loved the tempest in 3MP, especially on the TSol. I´m just weird like dat.

What a silly thread. I just punch punch punch my way through Silver (female Manguard) and am generally the top spot.

Silver is not exactly serious business.

My luck w/ weapons has been pretty much zero, though. Talon II and Charger VIII are the best I've got, and neither is anywhere close to as good as just using my biotic superfist.
