Another Unmoving Platinum Solo with the Human Juggernaut on Firebase Magma against the Remnant.

Go for the Eyes is a fun Platinum mission modifier (200% weak point damage bonus but -50% weapon damage) with a weapon that can reliably hit weakpoints like the P.A.W. or Sweeper. Couple that with a good camping spot, and you have the ingredients — given good objectives — for a quick Platinum match.

Next to the rock outcropping where I normally start a Platinum solo, there’s a space between the rock and the wall that can accommodate one person. Observers sometimes fly above you, and an enemy occasionally sneaks up behind you (there’s still some cover protecting your rear). Most enemies, however, approach you from the direction of the staircase. Like the cubby on Firebase Sandstorm, a Human Juggernaut can tank entire waves from this position.

This successful mission came on the heels of 16 failed attempts, 15 of which ended in either a Hack or an Upload. The only one that didn’t had a Wave 6 Devices objective with two Destroyers and a Blaze Hydra camping on the fourth and final device. The Boss Progenitor can be tough if it doesn’t open its mouth; I had to expend several Cobras to whittle their shields down during the Boss objectives. When I got Wave 6 Retrieval, I thought the coast was clear for a successful mission, given I had two First Aid Kits and three Revive packs left. It turned out to be super stressful, and I expended all my consumables to deliver those packages.

True. Some maps are better set up to make them less stressful for non-stealth characters (Sandstorm). And other maps put their devices/packages right out in the open and are really hard. I still have nightmares from many failed attempts on Firebase Paradox with the Krogan Mercenary.

Unmoving Platinum Solo on Icebreaker with the Human Juggernaut

Found another unmoving camping spot on Icebreaker for the Human Juggernaut. Only danger is on Wave 5 with the Behemoth's red energy drain bubble and the Blaze Hydra. But, you can hover above the spot to regain shields (better if you take APEX Training 5B, which I did not).

Asari Sentinel Platinum

Wanted to do a faster Asari Sentinel solo than my first one which clocked in at over an hour (slow because the Kishock Harpoon Gun was my primary weapon). This time, I sported the mighty P.A.W. Siphon, Incendiary Ammo, and the Vulnerability VI, allowing me to finish the job in 36 minutes and change. After taking down the Wave 4 Behemoth Boss, I had no revive packs left, so I had to be perfect for Waves 5, 6, and 7. This time, I only specced one point in Backlash and maxed out Throw and Energy Drain.

A fast but tough Platinum Solo mission with the Batarian Vanguard against the Kett on Firebase Sandstorm. It's hard to be true to the Batarian Vanguard's desire to charge and punch all things on Platinum. His paper-thin shields are no match for the mighty Ushior from the Saboteur, the palm blast from an Ascendant, the headbutt from a Berserker/Behemoth, or the Soned from an Anointed. He has to sit back, stun enemies with Flak Cannon, and aim for the eyes with his P.A.W. Siphon. And, if it's safe, he can rush in and punch a few things for style.

A Perfect Platinum Solo. My Human Juggernaut did not use any consumables (First Aid Kits, Revive Packs, Cobra RPGs, and Ammo Packs) in securing full extraction against the Kett on Firebase Sandstorm.

Up until now, I have not started any of my Platinum solos with the intention of not using any consumables. My goal was always to survive, no matter how many First Aid Kits I burned or Cobra missiles I launched at Hydras and Behemoths. I remember watching Pota Pota’s Turian Havoc Trooper No Item Platinum Solo and thinking to myself that I would never be able to do that. And now here I am with my humble contribution to the annals of Perfect Platinum Solos!

My first Platinum Solo was with the Human Juggernaut, so it’s fitting that he is the one to pull this off for me. The Juggernaut is one of my favorite characters in the game, with excellent survivability, strong armor debuffing with Snap Freeze, good weapon passives, and multi-combo detonation ability with Shockwave.

As for objectives, I actually welcomed the Boss objective since the Juggernaut can handle the Behemoth better than most characters. I had to be mindful of Saboteurs on Retrieval and Devices, because they were so quick to strip my shields with either their Energy Drain or their Ushior pistols. In regular solos, I frequently had to use a First Aid Kit when disabling a device or delivering a package.

Been doing some Platinum wave budget testing, and I have this Human Juggernaut against Outlaws to show for it. I equipped Incendiary ammo, forgetting for a moment that this negated my substantial Snap Freeze armor debuff. Despite the self-inflicted nerf, I was still able to get it done somewhat quickly (for me). Outlaw Boss objective can still be challenging, but it’s not as scary as the Kett or Remnant Boss objective.
