I don't think china is buying a lot of MEA copies either..... and from that chart the US alone is as big as Europe, the ME, and Africa put together..... so if you double the figures for physical sales in the USA then your closer to the number of console copies sold, add in the origin ones (another 1.2 million copies worldwide at least) and suddenly your over the 3million mark EA estimated it would flog..... mea hasn't been yanked which means it achieved its break even point (1.4 million basic copies sold), at a minimum, there still advertising it online in various places which means its achieved higher than break even money.... mea might not be a runaway success but its got a lot of people who bought it and played it none of them did so via steam so until EA issues a profit warning or provides its investor statement nobody is going to have a clue how well its actually doing financially speaking, however the simple fact is the game has some serious bug issues (bugs that would of been found and likely fixed before release if BW had bothered to conduct testing) various problems exist with the game like quests you cant complete, quests that bug out and fail, quests that don't register dodgy crash sequences and any number of other oddities that are super annoying, not to mention the stupid pro sjw crap they did to the characters, (oh and sarah's face every time she gets a drink) but its still sold a lot of copies and its still mostly playable...

As I said, MEA has the second biggest sales in its launch month in the series. Even more than ME2. ME3 sold the most in it's first month. That's in the Eurogamer article you posted so prominently. Also, that's monthly revenue for March, most likely U.S. retail. It doesn't mention the impact of pre-order's on the sales numbers. ME:1 was only released on Xbox 360, and ME:2 was only released on Xbox 360 & PC, with Playstation 3 released months later. So it should have sold better than during the first couple of weeks than both those games.

What's been confirmed is that clickbait titles are still a thing. Too true. I'll admit, though, I was hoping someone had some actual financial numbers and not just some guesstimate. They'd be interesting to see. Yeah, solid numbers would help determine what the series might look like in the future. Some real news would have been nice. It might be gradually more difficult to determine because of the many people moving towards digital.

Physical sales have made up a smaller and smaller percentage of total sales. Further this is only the US, it topped the Chart for several weeks in the UK. And if it is second to ME3 which was the top selling ME title, then it sold more than ME2. Now sales in this case do have to be measured against the public feedback within balance at bioware. I don't want them to throw the baby out with the bath water given a lot of the anger online is overblown, but they do need to make some fixes.
I continue to have 0 doubt this will be a profitable game for EA.

Although I agree it's a disappointment, you people seem to enjoy watching one of your favourite franchises get destroyed instead of trying to make it better I think it's been destroyed. Past event. And now we just want them not to get away with it.

ME:2 wasn't released on Playstation 3 until months after it's XBox and PC release, so you're not comparing apples to apples, and ME:1 was only Xbox 360. If ME:A didn't outsell the first two games in the first month, there would really be cause for concern.

They only spent like 40 Mil over 5 years on it. I know some of you think that is a lot but for an AAA title it is bottom end. They will make their money back and then some.

North America. As such, to also include Canada. As well, the Europe-Middle East-African market looks to be growing faster than the North American market.

It might be gradually more difficult to determine because of the many people moving towards digital. Did EA ever released the sales number for Dragon Age Inquisition? I only remember them saying that the game sold well. The only thing I really found on it was from DA:I's wiki page: "Dragon Age: Inquisition debuted at No. 5 in UK in its first launch week. According to retail monitor Chart-Track, it had sold almost the exact amount of launch week copies as 2011's Dragon Age II.[104] This does not take into account direct digital download sales however,[105] which have been noted to be a "significant percentage of sales" by BioWare[106] and thus the true number of sales is higher. According to Electronic Arts' fiscal 2015 third quarter earnings report, Dragon Age: Inquisition is the most successful launch in BioWare history based on units sold.["

Although I agree it's a disappointment, you people seem to enjoy watching one of your favourite franchises get destroyed instead of trying to make it better As it was mentioned, they (EAware) already destroyed the franchise. The thing is, there are people who have realized it, and those that are in some sort of aggressive denial. Also, If there are Bioware people reading this, you can contact me, and I will tell you where/how exactly did you fucked up with Andromeda, what needs to change in the future if you want to make the fans happy, and make your next game successful. If that's not what you want, just focus on the drone/praise comments, sit back in your safe zone, close your eyes, and wait for EA to close you down.

It might be gradually more difficult to determine because of the many people moving towards digital. Did EA ever released the sales number for Dragon Age Inquisition? I only remember them saying that the game sold well. only that at 1.14million physical copies sold it was bioware's most successful game launch ever (that was 1st week sales) beating me3's sales figures by more than 100k.. so i'm a guess that me3 didnt manage to shift much more than 1 million copies in the first week. oh and mea is reputed to have sold less than 25% as physical media and the remainder as digital copies, so if the US market is reporting sales figures that don't include origin or psn or xbl then its pretty safe to say they scored a lot of sales, hell even if that accounted for every physical copy sold worldwide that would be a huge number of total sales.... kinda makes you wonder if the jonalists are trying to harm ea's stock price with dodgy reporting smears because a certain company that they ultimately work for has been trying to build up a buyout bid and the price is too high for them.....

Yeah. me too. My only change would be to keep the majority of the planets explorable areas locked up until the main mission is complete to tighten the narrative. Until then, I just "edit" the story myself. Overall, enjoyed the game.

Was told I "didn't get it", or that I was "too sad", or otherwise dismissed or condescended to. So while I wouldn't enjoy watching the franchise go down in flames (if indeed it is, which I am skeptical about) I certainly wouldn't feel much pity either.

What a strange bunch of people you are - every thread it's the same people seemingly desperate to delight in anything that confirms their hope that the game is a disaster or it has failed.
I just knew who would have started this thread without even having to look - can you all have your own sub forum somewhere?
I don't get what you get out of posting all these threads.
Taking this topic, unless you have access to origin sales data for example you have no idea what the number are, it's all just speculation. Yet here you all dancing a jig of glee that there is a slim crumb of hope that the game hasn't sold well.
How absolutely fucking weird.
