That might have been true 15 years ago, but in this day and age, it's technically pretty evenly split.

Obviously all the hawt grillz are only on my fiends list. Seriously though most of the girls I play with are really cool but get sick of hearing the bullshit of most random douches gaming.

Because most of console/PC gamers (non mobile) are still men. This "issue" is as ridiculous as lamenting the excessive female presence in a Victoria's secret shop. It's the way things are. You can't force women to play games as you can't force men into a lingerie shop. If you as a women like to play games, then good for you and for us all but be reasonable and accept that you'll have to relate with a mostly male audience.

I don't think it matters in the OP's case at this point, anything will do.

My experience -- most of the talkers over mic (PS4) are men; I think women are more hesitant to talk due to vast number of griefers who rage if beaten by 'grrls'
