This was from BSN where folks post about what they liked and disliked about the mission. Also created the thread since in another one a few, including myself, made posts about it

-seeing the fleets coming through the relay. I wonder how many ships there are in total if the player collects all assets and has peace between geth and quarians? -low ems battle over Earth. If the players ems is low enough, the reapers are doing a lot of damage. I was hoping it would be like that no matter what the ems is since the reapers are so high and mighty - the combat from the time Shepard exits the shuttle until the first set of missiles are fired at the destroyer. I like the screen shaking - when talking with Anderson, he will say 50%, 40% or 25% of hammer made it based on the players ems - seeing both squadmates killed if ems is below 2000. That's what should've happened regardless of ems
dislikes
- lack of war assets seen - all the ships firing at the reapers while the Normandy fires a whole lot of nothing. This being ME3, thannix cannons were only available in ME2. That's right. ME3 is the third game and its the place to start playing a trilogy so ME1 and ME2 never existed - not showing a reaper pull a Sovereign. Remember Sovereign plowing into that ship destroying it? Too bad that didn't happen - on the shuttle Anderson says "Too bad it took the reapers to unite the galaxy'. Shepard united them Anderson He follows up with, "that's exactly what I meant". No it wasn't otherwise you would've said that to begin with. - the goodbyes. Those would've been better done on the Normandy on its way to Earth - the plan to destroy the destroyer. Why couldn't a small team sneak past it to get to the beam? Wait a minute. That sounds too easy - the cutscene showing the characters near the destroyer. Anderson says, " take them out any way you can". There was no them. It was only it and it was the destroyer. It was funny watching these characters using small arms fire to try and stop the destroyer. They got its attention and then were vaporized. - after the first set of missiles failed, Anderson tells Shepard he's headed to her position. Why? The destroyer is distracted. Get to the beam Anderson - once the reaper is destroyed, Anderson and Coates talk about what they may encounter once they get up the beam. Why are they worried about that crap. We need to get to the beam first - Anderson mentions Harbinger. Shepard or should I say Commander dumba**, doesn't remember Harbinger. It was my femshep's stunt double that said that
-the beam run. Or should I call it suicide mission ME3 style? Everyone is running to the beam in a straight line making it easy for Harbinger to kill them and none are making any effort to get to cover. I did a playthrough that I walked to the beam. I stopped counting the number of times femshep was shot by Harbinger, but yet everyone else is killed. I guess femshep and squad had the reaper laser repellent. Too bad everyone else didn't spray themselves with it. If the player like to save as many as possible, try having Shepard walk/run backwards to the beam. I did that and only 2 gunships were shot down
- the what-the-crap evac scene. I couldn't stop laughing hearing femshep call for the Normandy and actually seeing it in front of the beam. What a joke. All that to explain how both squadmates got back on the Normandy. Priceless. I would rather they explain how Steve got back on the Normandy. The other was to put in another goodbye when the goodbye was already said a short time ago. Too bad Harbinger didn't fire at the Normandy. - femshep is shot by Harbinger and her armor has been blown off her body, but yet the bodies in the same area has all the armor still on those bodies - femshep kills 3 husks and Marauder. Why didn't these things show up as we were running to the beam? - Anderson. Where was he during the what-the-crap evac scene? He could've helped get some of the injured onto the Normandy. Where was he when femshep was shooting the husks and Marauder. Just before I went up the beam, I turned around and he was no where to be seen -after Shepard is shot by Harbinger, voices can be heard saying to retreat, regroup. Why didn't Anderson tell them to ignore that order and to get to the beam since Harbinger flew away. Didn't Anderson say no retreat, no stepping back when talking at the fob?

Not really from the mission itself, but I can't help but laugh at the Illusive man conversation. It's like a bad copy of the Saren conversation, but really overacted to the point of it sounding downright hilarious. Though I do love the Anderson conversation (it almost made me cry a little).
Also, the fact that Harbinger was just shelved, and doesn't say anything, or have any relevance, apart from shooting the endless spawn of Alliance mooks running down the slope towards the Conduit beam, but not shooting at Shepard until s/he reached a plot convenient location. He was pretty cool in ME2, even if the combat taunts were a bit over the top, but Mac Walters obviously forgot that he was a thing in the trilogy, and was too focused on shoehorning glow-brat into the end.
This is all from what I've seen, anyway, because I didn't want to waste my time on the game anymore.

I really liked the entire thing...... the atmosphere was so thick. That fight with the brutes in the garage...that fight with the 2 brutes coming down the alley..freaked me out the 1st time.....there were some funny moments..like the line "Thanix missiles do a fuck-ton of damage"...that final fight took me so long...those banshees brought so much pressure that I was jumbled up about how to effectively deal with them and all those marauders....I would have liked to have seen a little of the other factions mixed into it..since they were all being controlled by the reapers.

A. Gathering everyone capable of fighting in order to get them killed in futile attempt to "take back mah Earth" didn't make any sense. Only Reaper agent could come up with a plan like this. *uses IT fanatics repellent* Writers suddenly realize that, so B. Move Citadel to Earth. Why? -Reapers- So writers basically added more nonsense to cover up initial nonsense. During single game. And that's pretty much all what is Priority Earth to me.

Man, if I start with the stuff I didn't like, I might never get to the stuff I did....
Didn't like:
-Anderson's battle strategy was dumb. The destroyer didn't need to be destroyed, just distracted long enough for a sneak around. But noooo....we had to go to the front door instead. Anderson apparently didn't read the mission report from Tuchanka. -Being forced into slo-mo from the beam hit to the end. The first time I got to that point, I thought my game was broken or something. -Having some no-name jackass marine tell me to "get on that gun!" I wanted to shout back at him to do it himself since I had to save the galaxy. -Not being able to save at any point at the FOB. Really? It's a non-combat area and I can't save my game??? It's the last conversation I get to have with my friends and LI and I CAN'T SAVE MY GAME???! -Shepard's speech, though it's better as renegade. -The screen shake/strobe lights always give me a headache. -The tanks (don't recall which team) sitting out in the open while complaining about taking fire. KEEP MOVING and you won't be taking fire dumbass! Or better yet, turn your stupid tank gun to the right and RETURN FIRE. -Eh, if the Normandy can swoop in and rescue people, why can't it get us to the beam??? -Banshee hugs of doom (ok, that one's on me needing to l2p )
What did I like? -Seeing all the fleets report in and come through the relay. -The actual battle zone was pretty good design (too bad the reason for being in it was dumb) -Final conversations with squaddies and LI, even the short ones via the comm.

It's also just kind of weird for anyone who never even romanced her. I know why people get annoyed about things like that.

What happening if you refuse Liara's gift? She will sound disappointed like she was expecting Shepard would accept it. Don't talk to her throughout the game, she won't offer the gift.

They messed up Liara in general, unless you're coming from one specific angle (granted, that angle has a lot of fans). But it's not so much a Priority Earth thing so much as a Javik thing. She changed along with his rewrite.

They were all good points, just highlighting this one in particular because it is so true it's not even funny. Not to mention that, in order to somehow choose another ending you have to start from Cronos station all over again. Um, no game, I'm not going through the hordes of Cerberus troops, Brutes, Banshees, Husks and Reaper beams again (not so soon after finishing anyway) just so the pretty lights will be a different colour. Most things that have bugged me as well have already been mentioned in the posts before, I'm just going to mention a small (yet so annoying ) one. Joker going all frantic 'We're taking heavy losses!' only to change half-way through to the casual 'On our way, Commander'. Even Shepard's "STEEEEEVE... You okay?' didn't feel as jarring. What I liked... Just the goodbyes, because of the feels, and watching the fleets gathering and reporting in.

There is a brief window (like, a few seconds) after taking out the hades cannon but before the reapers troops start appearing when you can make a save. Also right after the cutscene of heading out from the FOB is another spot. But yeah, the fact that saves are basically disabled from that point on is beyond annoying. You can manually rename the autosaves but that requires exiting the game and then reloading. Huge pain.

Dislike - All of it. The entire London section from start to finish. And, by the way, f*** those banshees. F*** them to high heaven. - Hawke? Why you here??? Yeah I get it Admiral, you were born in London. Like - The beam section with TIM and Anderson, I think that's great. I liked the run where I let TIM shoot Anderson, there was just a long long silence with Shep sitting there and I legit thought the audio had broken. That was a great touch. Dislike - Huh, everyone's suddenly available to chat to me on comms. Thank goodness they weren't busy or anything. Dislike - The kid bit. Anything that isn't refusal or destroy. My head aches trying to get my head around control and synthesis. Like - Oh look there's Big Ben, the ONLY damn London landmark I can actually make out. I love ME3 but the entire London section grinds my gears. I love the bit after the beam though, even with Anderson doing his jiggy jiggy hit by a taser dance.

The entire section on Earth was dreary, exhausting, and sets up the endgame very poorly. I felt like I was stuck in the last 35 minutes of Full Metal Jacket - minus Stanley Kubrick's direction, of course.
Without delving into the crappy ending, I will say I'm pleased you defeat the Illusive Man through paragon/renegade dialogue rather than the scrapped plan of him turning into another husk creature like Saren's body in ME1.
The whole "moving the citadel" thing was stupid. How did the Reapers move it? Did they send a squad of the biggest, fattest reapers to drag it through a mass relay? Can it move on its own? (I'm too lazy to wiki this)
Did they have a remote control for the whole Citadel? If not, how did they get the Citadel to open its arms (if they were closed)? If they did have a remote, why not use it upon commencing the invasion to take out the galactic government as the Reapers have done in the past? Did everyone in the Citadel get reaped? Did anyone escape?
Why take it to Earth, anyway? To make another Terminator Reaper? Well, then why didn't they do that earlier if they could take control of the Citadel whenever they wanted? Why wait for the Illusive Man to encourage them? They had more or less full control of Earth within a week of invading it, I would think. Bah.
ME1 and ME2's final acts were so much more awesome.

(I'm too lazy to wiki this) In ME1., if the player talks with Barla Von, he will mention the Citadel having engines. According to Patrick Weekes, a lot survived Earth is the home to humanity. Shepard is human. I believe if the Citadel had remainded where it was, there would've been no way for Shepard to get on the Citadel to open the arms. The only way would be to go back to Ilos to see if there's a way to power up the mini me relay , that was used in ME1, to get Shepard on the Citadel. That would be interesting if that were to of happened

Ooh, ooh, I remember this thread! For the record Mike, you are one of the three posters I can directly name for getting me into this series. One of the others is Iakus, if you can believe it. If we count the entirety of that quest up to the Starbrat, I've got some. Likes: Somehow, someway, most of paragon Shepard's dialogue in ME3 matches a lot of what I wa thinking. The goodbyes are a reflection of that. I honestly thought that, while pretty abrupt, they were well written. Running down the streets of London, and having the music drive that sense of urgency. Hell, the visuals of London in general. The details of the ruins were very well done. I do have a minor nitpick in general though. See below. The last confrontation of TIM and Shepard, at least the conversation part. Watching Anderson and TIM was overall pretty good. And of course, stabbing Kai Leng for making me waste ammo during his scripted fight. Well that and for handing Shepard the Idiot Ball every time he showed up. Dislikes: Hoo boy. The whole sequence feels rushed, even by ME3 standards. The goodbyes are all kinda shoved in there at once. For instance, many of those goodbyes could have been done easily on the ship and given some depth. Particularly for the romances. It felt weird having Shep say goodbye to Garrus while standing in the middle of the ruins of London. They had been friends for years and lovers for awhile, so it was quite jarring to me. Javik was the only goodbye that didn't feel awkward taking place in London. I thought it was fitting that his last goodbye was standing on the ruins of a large human city. Gameplay and story segregation.C'mon. I'm used to that, but the Reaper beam was way too much. I thought that was worse than Kai Leng. As Shepard, I go from the Reaper beam being the OHKO that it should be and was in Rannoch, to somehow surviving a direct hit with an upright and muted Harbinger. I've never subscribed to IT, but even I'll admit that surviving that beam seems fishy. No proper end boss fight. Depowered or not, husks and a marauder don't count. It smacks of pretension to me. Like it was too "video gamey" to have a final boss. That's a shame. I've gotten to see some of the concept art for TIM as an empowered husk from hell. Remember how I mentioned a nitpick with the look of London? The red phoneboxes. I've never left the US and I know that the red phoneboxes in the UK are pretty rare today. They are everywhere in ME3's London. Unless the sequence takes place in a historical district (not unlikely,) red phoneboxes made a helluva comeback. TIM manulipating Anderson with the spooky Reaper energy. Talk about looking dorky. I was also thinking, "Gee Jack, you could have done that much sooner in the game and actually won." Shit, they hadn't brought up that black energy much at all since Arrival. It was like the some of the devs and writers even forgot about that little trick.

Ooh, ooh, I remember this thread! For the record Mike, you are one of the three posters I can directly name for getting me into this series. Thanks. Ha. I'm surprised about that especially with all the feedback he gets from folks. He's a good guy Those red phone boxes have proven to be the best thing to use for cover when dealing with the uglies and the beam of doom from the destroyer. I have Shepard stand behind it while I shoot at the uglies at the same time watching the beam of doom kill some of the screamers before firing the second set of missiles. I do agree that they were out of place for them to be in the scene

When I asked once why he was still so upset, he told me to play the series and to figure it out for myself. He wasn't mean or anything, just direct. I had to wonder what would invoke so much passion and upset after all of those years. When I told him that I enjoyed the whole thing (except for the fucking Starbrat,) he seemed happy for me. He never insulted me, or told me I was any kind of "sheep" for enjoying it. I don't share his frustration, but I now understand where he's coming from.
