wow, that's a lot of pages since the thread started!

As some of you I start playing with pong on a W&B TV, then in 86 on an Atari 800XL with Moon Patrol, galaxian. I still have them.

My brother owned a 486DX2 66mhz for his job, he was playing at the fisrt Sim City, I forced him to install and try for the fisrt time Rebel Asssault, kind of moment you can't forget!

I really start playing in 1998 when I got a Gateway 2000 PC. The hype was to have a 333 Mhz or a pentium 400MHz, the most powerful intel processor.^^ Matrox , voodoo 3 DFX are still magic words.

TV shows were also really a big thing for me growing up, being fixtures in my calendar for years. I´m not into TV anymore (though my impression from occasional viewings is is that nowadays the quality of some TV series in general seems to be considerably higher than that of most "major" new movies). But I digress, here are some of my favorites from back then:

Watching re-runs of this was my first gripping TV experience and one of the reasons I also enjoyed the recent movies quite a bit:


This one was an instant classic for me when it finally came to Germany in the 80s, loved the action in there:


And then there was Magnum P.I., probably my favorite 80s show:


And last not least comes this, maybe the most stylish and defining 80s show of them all:

I always keep in mind this moment when Magnum screams : HIGGINS! so good!
One the the best series for me too.
