Old farts (40 plus thread)

OMG!!! I'm considered YOUNG!!!! I barely made it below the limit but I made it!! I'm 37 years YOUNG, just below the 40

Come on youngsters, off the porch...

I have a Kaypro II that my parents bought in the US while working on their doctorate. Inherited it very young, but for so many years it was sitting in a shelf.



A couple years back we took it for a spin and it still worked. I have a bunch of games for it, but some didn't start because the floppies were too ruined. Adventure worked, though.



Last year the internal power supply finally gave up. Three capacitors dead. I've found possible replacements and I will try them soon, if they don't work I'll have to hunt down specific parts. A bit of a pain in the ass, but it's better (and cheaper) than having the logic board fail!



Graphics may be text based only, but it's extremely responsive. Even Space Invaders ran great.

I have no idea where my thirties went. At this rate I'll be 50 in no time and still not really grown up. My only satisfaction is that it'll hit the young folk soon enough.

So, who's next for midlife crisis?
