Love Gilligan's Island! I have all three seasons on dvd. Always a good laugh! 

I thought they were all in Black and White when I was a kid.

Yeah.. we didn't have a colour TV back then...

I must confess that I wasn't alive in the sixties and these were re-runs when I was a kid, but I loved them.



There's a scene in Game of Thrones where Olenna Tyrell says that she was never as good looking as Margaery. I beg to differ...

We went to a  summer cabin for a month every year where all was had to listen to was CBC Radio. "Who knows what lurks in the hearts of men? The shadow knows.."

Seeing some classic lunchboxes makes me want to share my first two. I still have them, and they're on display in my kitchen above the cupboards -- next my wife's old Muppet Show lunchbox.

Just turned 49 this month.
My first computer was a Commodore Vic 20, I got it to play Sargon II chess because I was on the chess team in highschool. Had it plugged into a small B/W tv that we got free with the purchase of a color console television. I remember taking the old vacuum tubes to Radio Shack trying to figure out if they were bad. And haveing a TV antenna on the roof that you rotated to get a better signal.

This thread is dragging up old memories, some good, some not so much.

I've tried playing computer chess but I find on screen chess can never beat an actual chess set. My mom taught me chess when I was 7-8 yrs old, it's still one of my favorite games.
