Has anybody noticed that the game looks...different since the update? I mean, besides the eyes. It seems a lot darker in general, more contrasty, and there's a lot more lens flares than before. Going to have to rejigger around with the "base" ReShade presets I was using for normal gameplay.

I still haven't updated, so I don't know I'm afraid. An easy fix I'd expect, though, with gamma/levels, etc. --- More of my first short drive into Kadara, appreciating the beautiful Nomad again:

Nvidia Ansel only works for GTX cards. It worked for me in Andromeda with a GTX 1060. However, the best way to take screenshots is to refer yourself to the very first post of this topic where every tool is explained. PS: I'm struggling with SRWE so hard, either I'm doing things right but for some reason when I apply a profile I can't move the camera around anymore, or I'm still clueless af. I do have a gtx card -- and see below, lol Wait...I've seen a couple of you mention using Ansel, yet I can't get mine to work with Mass Effect. Any pointers on how to get it working? I advise avoiding Ansel altogether because a) it breaks some of the game's post-processing and the scene will look flat and fake, and its camera is very restrictive and you'll not be able to get the best composition possible with it. The second post in the thread details the camera tools that work best with the game. However, there are occasions where Ansel can be useful (for shots on the Tempest, for example, where the Cinematic Tools won't work). To open Ansel you press alt+F2. It goes without saying you need the latest NVIDIA game ready driver. Thanks for the answers praxati and amoebae. I did try Ansel as it seems to finally be working with Andromeda, but it really does not let you pull out far at all. It has nice effects for my own personal stuff, but doesn't hold a candle to the stuff you guys post. Space is at a premium on my computer so I probably won't be downloading anything for some time, so I will just admire from the shadows and perhaps join in at a later time. Thank you both and narcoticbiotic for all the answers and help.

The bridge seemed to get a lot more washed out all of a sudden, but I wasn't sure if that just happened to be the planet in the window. Also my game is stuttering in certain areas and especially when I take regular screenshots. (I upgraded my computer before the game came out and it meets, if not exceeds, the recommended hardware specifications.) I know other people are having the same problems so I'm not overly concerned about it. The pendulum will swing back the other way eventually. But yeah, you're right that there's something a bit different in how the game presents itself now.

And I'm not sure what to call it...the adaptation?...drives me nuts in places now. Where things are uber dark and then lightens up when you look at something else, or vice versa. It was there before, but not so extreme. I'm honestly starting to wish I could take back the update, lol. The only thing that I'm happy about so far with it is that I'm getting way more banter.

One of those time I'm glad I didn't update right away. Still might have to, to play with some friends on multiplayer this weekend. Not looking forward to it. Anyway, I feel like we need to give the Nomad some more love. It's our only place for party banter and extreme mountain climbing after all.

I'm surprised by how much I enjoy taking pictures of the Nomad. I follow a lot of people on flickr who take a lot of Forza and NFS pictures, and while I certainly appreciate them it's not really my kind of thing.
But here I am, thinking about how I can make the Nomad look more badass, and which paint job looks the best in pictures (tip: don't even consider anything other than the shiny platinum black on Voeld - or most other places, but definitely Voeld), making sure I have 6-wheel drive on for the spiffy little orange light, making sure I turn the wheels at *just* the right moment before I hit pause so they look more dynamic, etc.
The Nomad is the 7th squad mate.

Thank you both and narcoticbiotic for all the answers and help. The Cinematic Tools are not a heavy program, the whole folder is only 3 MB big (Same goes for SRWE, which is the only other thing you'd need to get that kind of high quality - it's like 200 KB!) So don't let your dreams be dreams! The screenshots themselves are what will eat up space the most, but you could save them in the cloud or just delete the ones that aren't great. As time goes on you'll become more selective anyway, and only a tiny fraction of screenshots will feel good enough to actually upload.

Have you noticed that the uber-shiny paint jobs flicker? I had to stop using them because they didn't display right. Since the update, they do now so I can start using them again. I really like the gold one.

I actually like the digital snow camo on Voeld. You should try that on if you haven't already. It blends in perfectly with the snow and the rocky mountains in the background. Another cool thing you can do with the Nomad is, If you hit reverse right as you pause, you can get the red tail lights on as well. (See my earlier shot on H-047C) looks a lot cooler with it. Can be a bit tricky, since it can move the Nomad. Lastly, pressing 'B' while in the Nomad turns on the lights. The effect are a bit weird but can be cool at time, maybe you'll have a better luck than me with it.

THE NOMAD HAS LIGHTS? This is revolutionary. MelissaGT - I hadn't noticed any flickering, actually. I'll look out for it. Maybe I'm lucky and didn't get any?

I adore the Nomad photos, by the way. I have friends who do landscape photography and I live vicariously through their work because they notice things that I don't. Same deal for the Nomad. I look forward to them.

I can never find a good angle for the Nomad, but I've been admiring your pictures of it! I've made it my personal challenge to find a place where my favourite Nebula paint job actually looks cool enough for a nice shot. I haven't updated the game yet, but I really need to because I haven't had any squad banter for like 40 hours and it's taking all the fun out of exploring. Not that I'm doing much, now that screenshotting is taking up so much of my playtime, but it kinda goes hand in hand. Don't want to advance without banter, so I've been killing even more time taking screenshots. Sometimes I think I should just do it, just download the thing to force myself to actually live in the moment a little without the ability to stop at every turn looking for the best shots.

I took some screenshots for a tutorial on SRWE last night. I'll look at putting it together tomorrow. It's not a difficult program to use so it shouldn't be too long.

SO HAPPY to see all the Nomad love. i thought it was weird, how i instantly felt this bond to a pixel vehicle. but there's just something about it. this big, rumbly-grumbly, six-wheeled teddy bear.

I can report that the Win 10 issues with Ansel causing a driver crash are still there, even with the new NVIDIA drivers. They are produced the same way...it seems it has something to do with changing the aspect ratio from within Ansel. The only way I've ever been able to get around it is to change the aspect ratio first in SRWE, then engage Ansel, hotsample, shoot, disengage Ansel, and then go back to my playing profile...and that doesn't always work without a crash. It also seems that the Ansel camera can only go so far away from Ryder now.
I think I will be taking a break from the game for now, to wait and see if Hattiwatti will update the cinematic tool. Unless anybody knows of a way to roll back my game?

Two words: System Restore What it does: Rollback all the software changes within your computer that was made after the restore point. It won't affect your other files, ie; photos, video, documents and such. Only software will be affected. You can also reverse the rollback as well. So not a lot of risk there. How: Type 'System Restore' in your start menu, press enter, go to System Restore, pick a restore point. Very simple. Same goes If you want to reverse it.

Hmmmm. I wonder if the saves I've created on the updated ME:A would be borked...like with DA:I.

^Try it and let us know the result! I would recommend backing up your save files first, however. Anyway, guys, I just spent the last 4 hours shooting Nomad picture. Here's the result. ^That last one is probably the best screenshot of the Nomad I'll ever take.

Has anybody noticed that the game looks...different since the update? I mean, besides the eyes. It seems a lot darker in general, more contrasty, and there's a lot more lens flares than before. Going to have to rejigger around with the "base" ReShade presets I was using for normal gameplay. I've revisited Voeld and Eos after the update (and Tempest interiors, of course). I believe there is no difference whatsoever. Still no 1.05 update for the Cinematic Tools, I take it?

^Try it and let us know the result! I would recommend backing up your save files first, however. Sadly, System Restore is apparently broken at the moment due to a recent Windows 10 update...caused by a specific app. I found tons of threads about it after I got the reported error twice. It has nothing to do with the game, but definitely is preventing me from being able to roll back the system. Apparently there are ways around it, but I'm not enough of a superuser to risk it. Microsoft supposedly is working on the issue. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope that Hattiwatti updates the tool.
