I'm talking about BG2. If you meet him in BG2 while having his stuff equipped, he accuses you of "attacking him outside Baldur's gate for no good reason" and "making off with his equipment" Obviously, you need to use console commands for this... Edit: he also doesn't take it kindly if you name your own character "Drizzt" I never played BG2, I lost interest when you were not able to kill kids in Icewind Dale. Why is everyone here on the Evil spectrum?

I'm playing BG1 with TuTu. I just checked my WeiDu log to make sure I had chosen the happy patch in BG2 Tweaks. (NPCs can be angry about reputation but never leave (Salk): v9) But apparently Shar-Teel never read the WeiDu log, and left on account of us being a bunch of do-gooders. I guess the happy patch doesn't cover BG1 npc's. Now if I could only remember which inn Safana said she was going to wait at.

Well I finished BG1. I had a bit of a bug close to the end. After the doppelganger fight, Belt's script didn't trigger and it was just "Belt has nothing to say to you" Fortunately I had saved just before the fight, and it all worked as it should after the rematch. I enjoyed the Dynaheir romance. Thankyou Domi. I'm going to start a new character for BG2. I want to play a mage & Esmarelda doesn't have the intelligence to dual class. i.imgur.com/YxU1fwr.jpg

Speaking of Dynaheir, I was surprised at how she acted toward Minsc in Siege of Dragonspear. It was like she only tolerated him. I guess I just assumed they were friends with the length of time they had been traveling together.

My typical way is to buff the hell out of Minsc, have him dual-wield Azureedge and the Mace of Disruption, trigger Improved Whirlwind, and cry "SOMETHING'S GONNA GET THROUGH!!!"

I got it very early this time around. I only have a party of two, My Thief dualled to Fighter, and Viconia, no magic until we get Imoen back. Just got Daystar from the Lich, (Got in grabbed it and got out while he was still buffing himself) Then did the Unseeing Eye to get the bones and the Girdle of Fortitude. The battle in the sewers was the hardest part. (I usually rely on wands to soften them up a bit, but no magic user) I just did the cheesy Protection from Undead on Kangaxx. I wasted a scroll on Viconia as well, I thought afterwards that I should have just given her the Cloak of the Sewers and had her sit in mustard jelly form. Anyway, Bodhi has been true to her word and got us to Brynnlaw. It shouldn't be too hard to convince them I'm crazy and get thrown in the asylum. Edit: I spoke too soon, turns out I don't have enough charisma to be insane (I sold the ring from the circus already.)

Have Minsc in your group, that scene is EPIC if you let him talk Yeah I vaguely remember doing that in the past. This time I freed Jaheira and Minsc in the dungeon thinking I'd get the XP for it, but you don't. You only get the XP for having them join you. (which I didn't do, because I wanted all the dungeon XP for myself.) I had brought in Angelina from BG1, already dualled to fighter and wanted to stay solo for a bit to level up quickly.

I heard some of the vanilla npcs are a bit out of character there

Still a decent adventure, if you can get past that.

Currenttly playing BG1:EE with a full custom party, never done that before. it's a blast so far, all these 90 rolls or higher Archer will be dualed into a Cleric at level 12, Shadowdancer will de dualed into a mage at level 13 (=max backstab for class) Also really enjoy having a max lore Bard. All that money saved, damn. edit: I will edit the alignment of the Shadowdancer in BG2 to Chaotic Good, as it has come to my attention that there's only one Robe of the Neutral Archmagi in BG2 and that will have to go on the Gnome.

Game's got a grip on me like never before... I hear the music when I close my eyes in bed, lol Archer is a beast, singlehandedly responsible for 40% of the party kills. What a monster. The Cavalier makes the game trivial at points, with his immunity to poison and fear. Edit: also note the ever growing difference in experience between the 6th slotted member and the first slotted member. Experience division is weird in this game. It's like it goes like this: Gain 10 experience: 1 to the Illusionist 1 to the Thief 1 to the Cavalier 1 to the Fighter 1 to the Cleric 1 to the Archer 1 to the Bard 1 to the Shadowdancer Then we have 2 left, and 1 of each goes to the Illusionist and the Thief. That'll add up over the course of the game.

The Cavalier makes the game trivial at points, with his immunity to poison and fear. My Archer was sitting at around 70% of a full party's kills when I played one through BG1. Granted, I was using the game's actual joinable NPC's (including the likes of Quayle and Alora) for the other 5 instead of creating a full custom party that's almost guaranteed to be more powerful, thus spreading the kills around a bit more instead of the Archer Bhaalspawn doing all the murdering.

Just started chapter 7, so I'll probably beat the game tomorrow and start Shadows of Amn with the same party. Finally time to dual Edit: ugh, just discovered I made a mistake. A dual classed Archer/Cleric can't use bows. That's terrible, wasted all those tomes of wisdom on him Ugh, I might have to edit that. Put the 3 wisdom on the Fighter/Cleric and just leave the Archer an Archer for the entirety of the game. Or maybe make him a Fighter dualed into a Priest, with 5 pips in slings. I'll probably do that.

Time to boot up BG again. I know it's lore-breaking but fuck it, I want CHARNAME to be a tiefling or drow this time around. Thinking of going the sorcery route since my bf is a giant hulking blackguard half-orc.

Out of curiosity has anyone tried the enhanced edition romances? Rasaad and Dorn add two new options for female characters technically though I have no idea how good they are. Oh, and Hexxat in BG2 for a same sex option. This is old but I thought I'd answer anyway. The only EE romance I've completed was Dorn (with a male PC, but afaik his track with a female PC is the same), and I loved it. Such a hammy supportive murderhusband.
