Title is misleading. They don't say anything about addressing criticism on April 4th. Their "immediate plans" could be the release of a MP map pack. Oh I hope they glad handle us, be just as optimistic as can be. "Here's our new DLC, all shiny and new!" Hate builds on this.

They had better do something. Is Mass Effect an iconic franchise? Sure. You wanna know how many times I've heard over on forums on Steam that games are like Mass Effect? A ton. Do you wanna know how many game developers play Mass Effect? A ton. It has become a staple. Like HL, like XCOM: UFO Defense (the 1994 version). Is this game iconic? lolsrsyly?? Good lord. Does it need to be? It doesn't need to be, but the universe needs to iconic as a universe. You can have one without the other. You can have interesting characters and a boring story set in the iconic ME universe. But here, it's a bland story, with bland characters, set in a bland universe.

The characters are interesting, the disconnect is the technical hangups getting in the way of them. I also don't see it as a bland universe truth told. If anything the games finding it's footing and setting up the world-building we tend to see in Dragon Age at this time.

In 14 months time (the time it took for the Hyperion to reach the Nexus) no one once said, "Hey, what's that thing out there that can destroy our ship, called the scourge? I think I'm gonna go check it out. Maybe take a couple'a readings..." I mean, fuck, I would'a been out there the next week from sheer boredom, if nothing else. And you can't take something that has already been established as lore and beat it to death. I'm sorry, you just can't.

But they didn't really beat to death any lore...other than a few minor changes here and there, like the high number of female Salarians we see. If you mean the whole premise of how they got there...fair enough it's an odd duck in that regard, but no more or less odd than the Lazarus Project or the Prothean Beacons, id argue.

It was more of a joke, but logically it's the next step in the train wreck that is aaa publishing. I dread the day it really happens. It probably will happen eventually

Really? You've seen the asari talking to the angara in the cultural exchange about the use of pronouns?
Just no.
It said in the first, second, and I believe third games that the asari were all female race.
I'm sorry. You just can not beat to death any type of lore and get away with it.
I mean, if you really want me to go off, I can go off. From salarians having eidetic memories (or at least the same triggers as the Drell) to hardcore scientists not having a problem with faith and science (Hello, Suvi).

Gotta agree with that, I don't necessarily see a problem with it. Keep in mind that the exiles on kadara got a lot more done because they left. The Nexus seemed to be dead in the water because of disagreements between higher ups and being too scared to do anything.

If there's one thing Bioware Montreal did right for the ME franchise it was keeping ME3's Multiplayer consistently well patched. And they kept us informed each step of the way. It's nice to hear they're revving up for improvements. I hope they pull through

Gonna be interesting to see what they talk about. Im guessing patches and maybe some multiplayer stuff. I don't think they'd dare mention any paid dlc at this point, with the game in its current state.

I mean...this is definitely a good thing. I can't see anything wrong with them wanting to address critical feedback on their game. I can't pass judgement on it until I know what they have planned though. My guess is that they plan on adding on to the CC, fixing bugs, and tweaking the UI. Those are my expectations. What my hopes are, is for them to announce future plans in terms of DLC, and moving the franchise forward. I want to hope that they'll fix facial animations, but I don't think that's a realistic hope since that's a lot of work and a bit too late for that. I think.

Tuesday sounds about right. Why do game developers like MMOs and such like to put out patches on Tuesdays instead of Mondays.

I'm replaying the trilogy before I start this and the only mention was Liara saying this during the first talk I think in ME 1. "We Asari are mono gendered, Male and Female have no real meaning to us. Then later "We do however have maternal instincts so we do fulfill what you would call a female role..." that does not say anything about all of them fulfilling a female role. There can very likely be those who are more masculine.

Maybe 10 rounds instead of 7 in multiplayer, I think they need to first make the servers stable. I've played a dozen games on launch and haven't touched it since due to constant lag or disconnects. It's just unplayable for me, I have t been able to legitimately judge it because of that, he'll, I wouldn't even know how many waves there are since I can't stay in a game.

If Bioware re-introduced pause-and-play combat and allowed the user to decide which powers our squad used that would go a long way towards increasing my zeal for this game. I like Mass Effect:Andromeda, but I absolutely adore the Mass Effect trilogy (6 playthroughs logged on Insanity) -- and a great deal of that admiration stemmed from the tactical control I had during combat. I'd like my pause and play back, but I have a feeling that's not something that's really patchable. I mean, I could be wrong, of course, but that seems like something rather involved.
