Ps4 Its been good up until the last couple of days. Haven't had any of the sort of game-breaking bugs on xbox, really. Must be frustrating, but for me all I get are visual weirdness once in a while, which is really not that bad. Also, if bioware makes this kind of announcement, only to state something of the type: "We're delaying our DLC and working mainly on fixing things up right now", I'm going to give a standing ovation for their nexus-sized brass balls. Its annoying is all it is. Once patched I think I will play through again happily, theres stuff in there i like. If I can get a smoother run going I'll be good.

They have done similar before, and it has always ends up a shocking anti climax. Something along the lines of.........
We here at Bioware have taken your views plus criticism very seriously, and we know you will be very pleased to hear that we have worked very hard over the past weeks creating a party hat for Drak. We hope that the release of this 32gb patch (large size due to the hat coming in 5 different colours) that we can finally put our fans minds to rest, and show to you all, that this game is not as s*** as you first thought.
They are like politicians, They will never answer the questions directly.

I'm honestly not sure what will come out on 4/4, but it will be interesting to find out, hoping partly for a web version of the APEX HQ & the chance to 'upgrade' my copy to the deluxe version. With regards to bugs, so far I've only experienced a few minor bugs, mostly just party banter not triggering & the odd invisible enemy here & there (& no, not the cloaking types), but I have also experienced one game breaking bug & that was when creating a second character, I found a workaround, but it bothered me.
For those not familiar with this bug I'll jot down here what it was & how I dealt with it, if you are familiar with this, there's nothing else in this post for you to read.
So when creating a second character, if you go from your current playthrough back to the main menu & create your character, once the opening movie starts, if you hear muffled talking during Alec's opening monologue then your save is bugged, you'll see this once you take control of them as you'll be given no quest & you can see codex entries from the other character you have, you can only leave the med-bay & go no further as you cannot select your scanner.
How I solved this, I googled the problem & saw a solution on the answer HQ, I deleted the character I had made & turned off my PS4, for about 2 hours, when I turned it back on, I re-imported the character faces I had made & started again, it worked fine.
Still, this is a bug that should never have made it out & I hope that it is fixed as I like to make several characters & I don't pan on turning my console off for 2 hours every tie I want to do so.
Ok I've aid my piece.

Maybe an option to make everyone (except for Salarians and Krogans) wear helmets everywhere at any time and stand still if talked to.
Less respawning Kett, you cannot drive 5m on Eon without a ship landing.

Announcing an announcement again? I have to say this kind of PR strikes me as very odd.
@the mods: why does a one-line post always take up this much space?

if they cannot fix the huge number of (unforgivable at release) bugs then this game will remain broken.

They had better do something. Is Mass Effect an iconic franchise? Sure. You wanna know how many times I've heard over on forums on Steam that games are like Mass Effect? A ton. Do you wanna know how many game developers play Mass Effect? A ton. It has become a staple. Like HL, like XCOM: UFO Defense (the 1994 version). Is this game iconic? lolsrsyly?? Good lord. It could end up being iconic, just like Superman 64.

1. Really? You've seen the asari talking to the angara in the cultural exchange about the use of pronouns? I'm sorry. You just can not beat to death any type of lore and get away with it. I mean, if you really want me to go off, I can go off. 2. From salarians having eidetic memories (or at least the same triggers as the Drell) to 3. hardcore scientists not having a problem with faith and science (Hello, Suvi). 3. After the conversation where Suvi talks about believing and if you agreed with her, I think it's noted either in her codex entry or by her in an email that people sometimes give her trouble about it. You can even disagree with her and try to argue. What is a "hardcore" scientist and who of them have we met? Are they scientists that believe religion and science are completely incomptabile? I wouldn't exactly call that right since scientists that believe have been around since always and been respected in their field of science. Many have made incredibly important progress. I know of, at least, that described a similar view of god and science that Suvi does. Physicists. There's no actual debate there because there's no proof either one way or the other. Either for or against the definition of a god. That's where science stops, where the evidence stops. And when there's no evidence there to begin with, it's kind'a difficult for science to get off the ground. Now, psuedo-science? Sure, you can debate that all day long. It's just that you won't see any physicists debating psuedo-science unless they are interested in philosophy and expansion of their mind and understanding where you're coming from.

Because there is no proof, either way, there is a debate. It is poorly informed, and passionate, and generally a mess, but it is a debate that has been going on for a very long time. Quantum theory leaves a lot of space for interesting interpretation. As an atheist who was raised Catholic and studied Philosophy and Religion as a degree, I have my opinion.... But in this discussion, just like discussing the OP thread topic and this MEA game in general - we all have our own opinions. Some of them better informed than others, but for the most part equally quasi-valid.

Dear customers,
We have had some considerable time to analyse your feedback and after much deliberation we here at Bioware have decided that the next game there will be no romances, nobody is going to be gendered and there will be absolutely no combat whatsoever. You will solve the problems of the Andromeda galaxy with hug points of which you will have a system of 4 choices. Happy hug, slightly less happy but still happy hug, overjoyed hug and (for those that want to be extra rebellious)the one hand behind your back but still extremely happy hug. Thankyou for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you soon you cunts.
Regards,
Bioware.

Just to be clear, don't expect any immediate updates to the game to come out on the 4th. It's just going to be a statement or reveal about what BioWare will do in the future to address these issues, and when they're making this statement it means their plans must've changed because of the criticism they've gotten, a la Extended Cut.
It means the employees that thought they'd get a nice break from crunch will be seated right back into "finalizing" crunch.

Sounds more like Enhanced Edition/Metro Redux than just an announcement of a patch.
If they can: - improved Character Creator - fix most glaring animations - NPC designs (eyes in particular) - improve Journal and Crafting User Interface - saving during Priority Missions - deal with bugs - increase mining rewards (both in space and with Nomad) - speed up Galaxy Map travelling at least a bit - rework at least some of the fetch quests (Additional Tasks section)*
It would help the game a ton. I believe those are not unrealistic expectations. If they add new story DLC along with it it would just be an additional bonus and incentive to replay the whole new improved game. Nothing to lose now other than some of the already aquired bad reputation. Really hope they fix most of it, it's doable and could salvage the reputation of the game
*i.e. let us scan ANY 10 different minderals in the game, instead of specific 10 points on 5 planets - it would already improve the collectibles sides of the game heavily and improve the focus. Removing quest-icon bloat from the maps would help a lot. It's ridiculous that mineral scanning collectible quest icon is the same as major planetary quest chains. Memory Fragments should get their own unique icon and a big-ass lens flare in the game to make collecting them easier, they're part of one of the best quests in the game. Most of the Additional Tasks fetch-quest should be on a separate layer with a toggle, turned off by default so it doesn't instantly detract from experience like it happens when we hit Eos

I don't think I understand exactly what you are saying. The absence of proof means that we do not know, not that God may possibly exist. That is belief. When there is no proof that God exists, it doesn't mean that we can say, "hey, maybe he or she exists". It means that, until we have proof, he or she doesn't exist. Do you understand this small but important difference? Also, science is easy to be accepted as real because, well, it works.

My guess is that they are announcing a soon-released free DLC that is CC major upgrade and "magic mirror" for altering appearance in-game. Numerous bug fixes, a new MP map, and save-anytime update. There might also be an announcement of a planned story DLC or something to that effect, but I'm guessing it'll be mostly CC, "mirror", bugs, and saving. If this is what does happen it means BW is listening and trying to fix the issues. And even if this is true there will still be a plethora of people still not satisfied.

Bioware is a lot more open to communicating than other devs I've seen. Considering I can't get on twitter and see multiple posts by them within the hour and compare them to say a group of 343 guys who may post a few times within a week total (and I don't count their tweets that pretty much advertise their E-sports league). Quite honestly I think bioware at least shows they listen by communicating back much more often. Be awesome to get them to directly respond to me but I know I've asked questions others have asked and I can't expect them to anwser the same question repeatedly. truth be told they do listen to us by acknowledging the issues, but regardless acting on those issues itself is an entirely different matter.

Cool beans, and thanks for sharing. Curious to see what they will patch. Complexion overlays would be nice, and more goodies for MP.

Realistically Bioware will not release any new content until the core game is patched and stable.....multiplayer events and multiplayer DLC are what I'd expect to be announced at this point.

Where's the sense of immersion? Why can't I have a dialogue response to that statement? #SJWBioWer
