No, but it's got me curious. I tried MEHEM. It was interesting but I ended up uninstalling it.

I'm using it, so far it's pretty cool but I haven't progressed enough to really sink my teeth into it yet (just finished rescuing Primarch Victus last night, and the game won't load this morning so I've gotta deal with that). The ability to assign crew members to different areas seems really neat, I'll let you know if it does end up affecting gameplay.

I did two playthroughs with it, since it was renamed to EGM. It is absolutely colossal and my personal favourite ME mod. The small callbacks and dependencies on (previous) missions or characters, the updates on the War situation, the added mini missions, or the new customization options are all really well done and add so much. [...] The ability to assign crew members to different areas seems really neat, I'll let you know if it does end up affecting gameplay. In the last version I tried (half a year ago), there were some parts that affect Shepard or Normandy stats (Wait till you did Ranoch!). But (for the most part) nothing that changes gameplay.

In that case, really looking forward to finishing ME2 so I can import Jonathan Shepard into ME3 with EGM installed.

I've been using the EGM during my last playthrough of ME3 and it really is huge. The ability to customize the crew (assigning different people to different ranks, which sometimes grant minor gameplay bonuses like the kind Glyph gives) and the revised war assets system are probably my two favorite components but there are plenty for everyone to choose from. You also get to keep your weapons from ME2, so you don't have to wait until you're halfway through the game to get a Black Widow, use some of the MP armors etc. It's really massive. I do have some criticisms, but it's mostly minor stuff like typos or some of the new assignments being obscure.

I haven't finished my PT with EGM but I've played a good bit of it. It's okay. It feels a little off to me. Maybe I'll revise when I'm finished.
Someone else may be able to answer this: did EGM give Shepard the ability to dance better? I could swear Shepard was doing some serious dancing in Purgatory but now I can't remember for sure. Maybe the party on shore leave or dancing at the bar on Silver Run will make it clear because I remember how Shepard danced there.

The game makes a lot more sense with it. Sometimes you get notices of lost battles and you think "crap..." and makes a person more determined than ever to save the universe. I also use it with all the other main mods, MEHEM, Thane, Back off and such My favourite part of it is changing the order in which I get notified of certain missions. It is such a headache to have 20 quests when only 5 really matter, so that extra feature makes it all worth it

I felt this, as well. Also, a couple of quests bugged for me because I got the item to complete the quest before the quest was available. Ended up with some NPCs standing around I couldn't interact with until right before the hit on TIM's base. I ran it with BackOff (plus compatibility patch) and ME3Re.
I really liked the customization options for the Normandy, the crew roster and such. I thought it was a nice touch that you could actually lose (a LOT) of war resources based off of decisions and outcome from those decisions. It doesn't really impact game all that much, though, when you're able to get upward of 8000 war resources. Sure, the turn around and loss of 1000 SEEMS like a big hit, but if you can end around 3500 you'll still get an ideal outcome and that number is easily achieved.
It's an interesting mod, but I really wish I could shut off half of it. I haven't decided yet if the half I like is worth keeping the rest around.

I tried the EGM in my current playthru of ME3 and really feel it adds to the game enormously. Have yet to complete the playthru atm, but I would highly recommend the mod.

Okay, so I've played through enough to report back, and I can officially say this is a Must Have Mod. It really makes me feel like a starship captain, and that there's a galactic war raging around me. I get regular notices from battles that have gone on "offscreen", and it helps hit home that this is a big war, there are more players than just me and my team. It makes the world feel more real.
I especially like the Normandy customization options. I can add a bunch of stuff to the cargo bay (including Javelin missiles and a MAKO~), and I can assign personnel to various positions around the ship, and even give them subordinates based on their suggestions who in turn give me bonuses! I assigned more personnel to guard the War Room & CIC, there are now guards posted around those areas. I assigned an assistant for Dr Chakwas who gives me a health bonus, she's in the med bay. I assigned a cook for the galley who makes sure my fish are fed (I have the auto-feeder so I don't care much about that bonus but someone else might), he hangs out with the other crew. I absolutely recommend it.

One thing I didn't like it I couldn't get a sense of what war assets mean. I'm a guy who is looking to choose destroy for the breath scene. I've got my headcanon for Shepard and his LI having a life together post-war. I know that the game asks for 4000+ EMS to make it happen. With the revised system lowering a lot of numbers I don't know if I still need to hit that mark or not. I haven't been able to reach 4000 and, if anything, the numbers get lower during the PT. If Shepard doesn't survive I probably won't use this mod again.
EDIT: Shepard did survive. I guess the game still recognizes that the assets were acquired even if they show at lower numbers. I might put it into my rotation for different gameplay but I'm going to try some others as well.

I haven't been able to reach 4000 and, if anything, the numbers get lower during the PT. Wow, I didn't get that problem with EMS at all. Granted, I've kept up on the N7HQ and am sitting at 95% readiness on any given day, but base assets I was above 8000 at one point thanks to all the extras EGM drops around the galaxy and even after losing close to 2000 for various things (systems losses, battle losses, etc) I still ended above 7000. If anything, I would've said there was just to much stuff getting added to the game asset wise to make it feel like I really had to try. As an after thought, maybe some of those assets are added via ME3Re and I'm just assuming they came from EGM because they were on various planets? I had thought ME3Re was just bug fixes, though.

I have EMS at around 3300 and got the breath scene. It's possible things were revised, like if Samara was 25 and altered to 3 by EGM, the game was looking for 22 less EMS. Or maybe EGM just gives that breath scene. My one PT wasn't enough to let me know. In some future PT when I use EGM again I'll investigate further. Another thing is I wasn't keeping up with N7HQ. I tried toward the end but not sure what the outcome was. Couldn't actually look at my war assets anymore. And because I hadn't read about not reading emails until ready to do missions, I lost out on some stuff. Even Minuteman. That was a disaster though I think that's based on decisions from ME1/2.

The Extended Cut lowered the breathe scene requirement to 3100 EMS. (I can't find the original source anymore, but TheMikeFest has the numbers, e.g., here) The Minuteman outcome is iirc based on certain decisions from each title, also ME3 (but I don't remember which exactly, or how they affect it). Another thing is I wasn't keeping up with N7HQ. I tried toward the end but not sure what the outcome was. Couldn't actually look at my war assets anymore. And because I hadn't read about not reading emails until ready to do missions, I lost out on some stuff. For the emails, I think he's referring to various 'pick up' notifications from EGM. I recall one where Garrus sent an email that a team needed extraction, but I was ready to leave for a mission. When I got back, I had another email waiting for me from him that said they'd been found by a scouting ship and the results hadn't been pretty or something like that.

And because I hadn't read about not reading emails until ready to do missions, I lost out on some stuff. Maybe I'm confused, but what exactly do you mean with N7HQ outcome and losing out on email stuff? Two separate things. My galaxy readiness would go up by playing MP. I don't do that. However, I can do "missions" for n7hq (n7hq.masseffect.com) that increase my galaxy readiness. The higher the galaxy readiness the higher my EMS. Since I wasn't doing that it impacted my EMS. By emails, I meant the in-game messages that have things like "meet me at Apollo's for steak" (or whatever Kaidan's message says) or "Thanks for saving my life on World X". Missions that only exist in EGM are given there. Had I read the documention about EGM, I would have known that a counter is set as soon as the message is read. I have a certain amount of time to complete the missions. I was reading them and ignoring them "until later". That lowered my EMS.

Everything said so far, about good stuff ... I agree and think this was worth it.
Some other things not mentioned, that I really appreciate. Bug fixes. The mod added a few bugs, but they seem minor. It also fixed some minor bugs, that allow me to experience things in game that I'd missed before. Maybe folks on console got to see them, but I didn't. Traynor is a lot more chatty ... telling me about stuff. I'm guessing it was always supposed to be that way ... but wasn't. The two Elcor side quests ... before the one in the Embassies was bugged, it now works properly. Conversations in the med bay that I've never heard before. Lots of little stuff, but stuff that is new, that had to have always been there ... maybe unused files in the game that get used now? Or maybe just a bug fix.
Really cool adding Collector weapons. And Geth Spitfire ... not for Shepard, but for Shepard's teammates ... Garrus, Williams, Javick and Vega. Splitting apart the various armors, so that you can build your own ... for the first time, I felt it was worth going with anything except the Cerberus armor.
It's a lot of fun and inspired me to begin import of the last characters that I started in ME, carried through ME2 and expected to play in ME3 ... but didn't ... 'cause ending. For a long time, ME3MP is what saved ME3 for me. But MEHEM sparked an interest in playing SP and EGM got me enthusiastic about it.
It does cut off the promotions resources you gained in MP, but the GAW readiness rating still works. Really not tough to go through SP, even with a low readiness rating and max the ending ... so much stuff to do ... base game, DLC and EGM.
So yeah, figure this is a must have mod ... it's been a lot of fun and the downsides are fairly minimal. It did take about 1.5 plays-through with it to really catch on ... but hey, that's life.

EGM does give Shepard better dancing skills, at least in Purgatory. The difference is very obvious,

I've been working with the developer of EGM on the next udpate he is releasing (deployment and installation, not modding part). He is a god among modders. Easily the best. Also must have a ton of patience to deal with users as per his nexus mods comment section.

Just went to Nexus to check this out, and it appears the author has removed it in preparation for the new version. Hopefully Mgamerz, this will be soon? It says 3-4 days, but in the modding world that can often = vaporware. I am noy assuming this here because of your post

Just finished a run with the EGM. I don't feel that it adds alot to the game, I wish it had more stuff like evacuating Thessia and such. Sadly all those cosmetic changes to the cargo hold don't do anything. I think EGM can benefit from what the BackOff mod for ME3 did: took bits and pieces from the existing voice lines and created entirely new voice lines without having to hire the voice actors, it would liven up the area, even if it gives small bits. I would have liked for example Kaidan speaking with or even just commenting on Samara sitting in his observation deck for example, or Tali commenting on the Geth fighter after the dreadnought mission.

They just released a really big update yesterday. New gun, squadmates from ME2 and ME1, lots of other changes.
