So two small tweaks to fix this should be patchable--1. Reduce the frequency of SAM's warnings. Say, when you hit 75%, 50%, 25%? And we really DON'T need to know that "temperature is normalizing, Pathfinder" lol.
And 2. Increase the level 1 hazard extreme. Say, add 20 degrees to each; 70C for heat, -70 for cold, and...darn it, I can't remember an actual hazardous radiation level. But their current level is basically background radiation that we're all exposed to all the time.
Oh! And 3. Fix Voeld. It never moderates.

haha Eladeen made me laugh as 50c a threat. The place where i live thats what the temperature gets to during summers. All this shows me that AI armors are bloody terrible. I rather take a fallout power armor which can deal with environmental effects a lot better, even radiation massively better.
I would love it if I could shut SAM up, by far the worst addition in game. "Pathfinder" in its terrible monotone voice really annoys me.

I know, right? It doesn't get that hot where I live, but I've certainly gone to places to hike where it's that hot. Shorts, tank top, sunblock and lots of water. No problem.
I guess they ARE in Montreal and 50C sounds really hot to them? lol....

Personally I really love the environmental warnings, but they should definitely only trigger when you've reached a threshold.

I wouldn't mind them if they were more realistic and the warnings were less frequent. They do add a sort of urgency lol. But the levels are hilariously low, and the frequency makes me want to chuck SAM out the airlock.

Too bad if we had Javik he would quickly chuck SAM, PeeBee and Liam out the airlock.

Why I abandoned my third run through. I do want to try out new options and conversations but I am not going to load the game again until there is some sort of fix for SAM. Too frustrating to go through that again.

I use CheatEngine to get rid of environmental hazards. I don't consider it cheating because it actually makes more sense to me. I mean...we have the technology of the year 2185 and are able to traverse entire galaxies, but we haven't figured out how to deal with cold whether? That makes no sense.
Plus, I don't have to deal with SAM reminding me. Every. Single. Time. I move to a different area.

I'd also love to figure out how to increase my xp so I get out of that 61-71 augment glitch, and increase clip size on a couple of weapons...

For some reason I'm not finding a link to the table I currently use, but I did find this. Seems to have similar options to the one I use, but I haven't tested it so I can't confirm it works.

I totally agree with the thoughts and reasoning of R'Shara and others. One humorous (and annoying) thing I frequently notice on Elaaden is that NPCs are standing in the blazing sun, sans helmet, chatting. Meanwhile, SAM is warning me to retreat to the Nomad or die. 😒 Likewise, how do the scavs and mercs survive these worlds? Maybe we need their "superior" hardsuits? They seem to get by just fine.

"Pathfinder" in its terrible monotone voice really annoys me. An obvious fix would be to either come up with an actual reasonable number or simply do level ranks. ME1 did this fine. Another is obviously to have the vehicle itself be immune entirely to environmental warnings. One of the most annoying things though is that the armor's life support does not replenish inside the tank. They should have just copied ME1's environmental hazard exactly.

My biggest issue was not the temperatures or the radiaton, but the magic of the vaults that make it disappear. After a sudoku you can make any planet livable. I can not stand this kond of writing. I can still accept biotics and Cora's sudden superior powers (more powerful than Samara?), but this repetitive system I just couldn't accept and I stopped doing vaults after it was finally optional.

The most hilarious thing is their idea of the 'extreme' temperatures range. I mean, hello! -40C is the averege winter for the northern regions (like Yakutsk). People live there. Adults go to work, and kids attend schools. Elder students may continue their lessons down to -45C\-50C (depending on the age, district and local rules). Guess what? They don't have mass effect fields and fancy envirosuits. Temperature may sometimes dive below 60 - but that's already an extreme, yeah. So, their -50C being a 'deadly lv2 hazard' for the suits or (especially) vechicles is a total BS. Yes. I live in Finland, and I visited the northest part of Lapland in -53. The sami people (my friends) told me that the degree they don't have to attend school is -43 celsius.

I always thought it was funny that 50 degrees celsius (or 122 fahrenheit), was considered a hazard that could kill you in 10 minutes or less. I live in Las Vegas and we get temps close to that in the middle of the summer in certain parts of the valley. Granted it really sucks, but being outside in those temps for 10 minutes isn't going to kill you. I would also assume that the suits, having a "life support system" would have some level of climate control inside them, and that they wouldn't have to work that hard to keep you cool compared to Voeld where its stupidly cold. I used to live in Aden, Yemen when I was between 8 and 10. It was around 50+ C during the day and 30+ C during the night time. Then add humidity on top of that living right next to the Red Sea.
Terrorists were the only lethal part about living there though.
